- We found a box filled with strange and bizarre CD-ROMS from the mid 1990s. These come from a time period where having mass encyclopedias of knowledge on a disk was very tempting and "multimedia" was the coolest buzz word!

The Dr Ruth CD still has the pricing label from my store! If I remember correctly, we did sell several copies.
**** Ridiculously tacky, yet unrefined.
Connections was a good show, wonder if the cdrom is any good.
• 4:32 - *vaporwave (𝙰𝙴𝚂𝚃𝙷𝙴𝚃𝙸𝙲) - vaporware is software that's never released like _Duke Nukem Forever_ was for 14 years and _Yandere Simulator_ is now.
• 10:04 - It wasn't Adobe Flash yet, it was still Macromedia Flash at that point.
• 13:50 - The 90's were the height of pagers, when they were for everyone, and not just doctors. General-market cell-phones were still a few years away. (They weren't psychic.)
• I can't tell how old Jacob is; sometimes he seems old enough to remember stuff from a while back, but sometimes he sounds like a zoomer. Maybe he's a time-lord? 🤔
I am indeed a time traveler.
In all honesty I'm a millennial who both grew up with a lot of what was even then obsolete tech but I'm still young enough to be hip with the kids lol
We had a good relationship with Macromedia back then and did reviews of a bunch of their software. We used to run a software download directory that was later sold to Internet.com. Notepager was a great piece of software for sending pager messages.
Did you change the title because your old title wasn't getting any views? I think it was something like "Opening a box of old CD Roms" or something similar. So it wasn't getting any views so you stooped to clickbaity titles with the WEIRD thing... Pretty lame.
Connections is actually alright, its a Myst-like puzzle game.
The use of the overhead camera in this video was damn near pointless when you never lay the discs down on the table so the overhead camera can get a straight, direct shot of the discs you're looking at.
Thanks for watching! What's the weirdest piece of software you've ever come accross?
Windows 3.1. It sucked so much after being used to Workbench...

Ah, NFL Math, a classic
This channel deserves more love, but you guys should do longer videos.
Finding the right length for videos is very tricky, you make them too long an nobody stays till the end and a bunch of your hard work goes to waste
