❤ love this! I was thinking of dog treat inside to see what my dog would do! Robin you are excellent at explaining your project as you make it. Keep up the good work.
Once again you have dazzled me with your fabric choices. Love them all but especially that dotted striped fabric. There are lots of projects you could do with these. Make it bigger and with batting and a kid could put the book they’re reading in it and put it on their bed to look pretty and entice them into reading more. Make a way to hang it up on the wall. Even little they would look great on a doll’s bed. They’d make a great little girls pocketbook if you make it a little bigger and sew a long handle or a short handle and put a zipper on the pocket. You make those flag things you make with lots of triangular flags but you could make them with eggs for Easter decorations every year.
Thank you. I love the idea of turning It Into an egg book pillow. Brilliant. While I was making them my brain kept screaming BUNTING ROBIN BUNTING 🤣. I enjoy making scrappy bunting. I’ll get back to It once things settle a bit more and I find all of my supplies.
What a wonderful tutorial - I love the way you only have to cut the egg out once. I had watched several other videos and they made it much harder by cutting each egg piece out separately, way too much work! And you're a very good teacher - you explain well and concisely, but keep it fun and light. Thank you so much!!
I totally concur with everything you wrote above. Couldn't say it better myself. I, too, watched several other videos. This was the best one. I also learned some general sewing tips that will be useful with other sewing projects.
SOO cute! I go to a craft group twice a month (husbands call it The Craft Coven!) and I am going to make these and tuck in something like a rotary cutting blade, etc with candy. Thanks, Robin!!
Great idea!! Quilters love to take little gifts to their quilty friends. It’s fun to take something different, fast to make multiples, and of course the tuck in is the most important part.
Hi Robin, I saw this egg done last week, and they are so cute. The bigger ones are good for placemats to hold cutlery as well. Thanks for the tutorial 😊
What a cute project. Pity I don't have any children to make them for. But I was thinking about what could be done with them after the event. For next year you could stuff the inside of the eggs with filling then sew up the opening and hide them in the house/garden. You could also sew up the opening and string them up into bunting. I guess you could cut larger version to make some bunting. 🥚🐣🥚
No children here either but I know a few adults that would love an egg with some sewing items (and candy of course 😉) tucked inside. They would make fun bunting either empty or with a small lightweight treat inside.

This is a really cute idea!! You can make a bunch in no time. I see you have your Tula iron up and running. Hope you're enjoying it.
They are super fast. Yes! I have both up and running now. I can see myself having them both plugged in for different parts of projects 🤔
