This is was a rly good tour of the palace. It's always been on my list, but I rly rly want to go now! And it's a joke for y'all, but that's actually kind of messed up that they kept harping on Danny wearing the "wrong" hanbok.
I respect LGBT issues and what not. But I can understand why they kept guidelines like that for the hanboks since its a traditional and cultural asset to Korea. They take it very seriously there and try to protect it with all their might. There a korean celeb, Choo Ja Hyun who wore a more revealing hanbok piece for a photo shoot or something, and even that was labelled as controversial. I thought it was fine to be honest. I guess its not like an anti-LGBT thing totally, they just want it kept it the way it is, and even in concern with its design, where it shouldn't be taken too far. They allow modern-day hanboks in the palace, but they wouldn't allow stuff that ruins its image in any other way.
LooYee I understand that and hope they were acting like that mainly bc he came off as joking since he didn't follow through with feminine presentation (hair, makeup, etc), but I'd hate to think of an actual trans woman being denied entry bc she didn't pass well enough.

In April me and my friends went on a cruise and it stopped by at Seoul. We were lucky enough to visit this palace and insadong in the short few hours we were there. It was a really amazing experience. btw Danny looked great in that hanbok
