I also tried to make dream feel like something is off with Betty. Not in the car scene as he was just relieved they were safe but when Betty showed off Kumu who clearly has some sort of magic in him leads him to wonder how that happened as Toriel doesn't know of them despite supposedly awakening their magic at the school. And the fact that she has a unique soul trait should have been reported to Toriel so she should know about her and yet she doesn't.

If she said something like driving out the monsters, then they wouldn't be as doubtful as erasing all the monsters. That's because the difference between humans and monsters isn't what it was back then. While there are far fewer monsters than there are humans if it came down to a fight monsters like Sans, Gaster, Asriel, Asgore, Undyne, and Papyrus would be able to defend the monsters from anything the humans could throw at them. Plus, they know she likely doesn't have the sway to make all of humanity turn on the monsters since if she did, then the monsters wouldn't be able to live in the city. Any appeals to cause some sort of war or get reinforcements would likely be ignored as the benefits the monsters provide are way better than what they'd get from killing them. And if there suddenly were a bunch of deaths pinned on the monsters while the general public might be fooled the people in power would not as if the monsters were to start killing people the first they would kill would be Jessica and the fact they started killing people only happened after Jessica revealed that Asgore killed her daughter in the conference would give her little legitimacy to do anything much. In the end, the only things she could really mobilize to do anything concrete would be herself, the task force, and Betty, whom the Sanses don't know how strong they are. In the end, they find it a bit laughable. But Sans knows she can make life hard for monsters, which is why he's angry.
