Your compound slide is probably flexing too much. Tighten up the gibs so it can’t move.
You can see the boring bar jolt down 1mm when you start cutting at the end.

Yeah did tighten everything when I bored out the backgear later. Also 145mm of stick out is a lot of leverage regardless.
