Booby, go to Noodle Q Inc at Chinatown. It's at 6 E Broadway. You have to try their appetizer the peanut noddles, hand-pulled noodles cooked in peanut oil. Its only 3 dollars!

You should check out Kien Tuong on Chrystie Street in Chinatown. It is by far the cheapest full chinese restaurant in chinatown. full portion of beef lo mein for $6. rice dishes in the 4$ zone.
If you go during lunch hour, theres a 3 selection meal for $4.25 which is literally 4-5 pounds of food.
I have been going there since I was a kid and love the place. The waiters and waitresses are super friendly too.

When I lived in NYC, there was this hole in the wall falafel in Union Square that was pretty good. I think it was called 'Rainbow Falafel'.
