i grew up in kowloon city all my teenage(not the walled one, it was already torn down) it was wild, less sanitized yet kind of homey. neon signs didn't get replaced by LEDs yet; wet markets were all over the place; hawker stalls were still a thing; planes fly overhead daily and i thought it was the norm until years later... rambling aside, really appreciate your affection to this city, and I look forward to playing slittherhead
Thank you for sharing part of the concepts and vision behind Slitterhead, you can see the passion and heart behind the work, I can't wait to play it. 🫶🏼 greetings from Chile.
fantastic doc on the changing times in HK, things change, yet some things stay the same. Shenmue 2 was the last game to capture the sprit of HK. great work Bokeh, will be there day 1
I was in Hong Kong just before the city returned to the chinese government and I really empathized with what Mr. Toyama said. I also explored the city without a phone, it was exciting, mysterious, unique. I got lost at the Night Market and came out of an alley with a temple, then I went into a butcher shop and they offered me a kind of tofu. Hong Kong is like that, chaotic. I really hope to find a game that makes me relive that dirty, dreamy, and intriguing atmosphere.
The game is available tonight in the US. I can’t wait to play my digital copy, and then I’ll receive my physical copies in the mail shortly. Thank you bokeh ❤
Cheers for the headsup I was subscribed to this channel, the actual studio, so I could be updated on the release ...only to find IGN, with their lackluster ruputation to be top of the list for 'recent Slitterhead content' and to make it worse, review. I'd rather Matt McMuscles' opinion be on the top, because he actually loves horror games... even eurothug4000 would be good to represent horror titles
I've lived the majority of my life in small towns in Wisconsin (USA): farmlands, forests, local legends, too many bars per person. I went on a college trip to London and there weren't cell phones affordable back then. I brought my Dad's 1970's Pentax Camera (weighing over a pound OOF!), tons of film and open eyes. I didn't get to explore too much but having the weigh of the camera in my hand made me pay attention to things you'd normally miss. I also love the experience of it: the light meters in the lens going up and down, the feeling of pulling the level to forward the film, the satisfying click of the button, threading the film through the camera, the wait to see what was on it - all of this is gone now. It's all instant gratification, perfection, delete. I'm looking forward to your game as I love the atmosphere and gritty sense of reality you bring to things. Best wishes to you and your studio.
Glad he mentioned Kowloons gate but Shenmue2 kowloon was best representation. Btw, Chongqing is the place if you want kowloon + cyberpunk city like ghost in the shell.
GiTS was indeed set in HK during those years. People often believe it to be set in Japan but that's not the. I guess HK felt like a futuristic city back in the day to many people. Seeing this documentary makes me think about how interesting it must've been to live there during those years, it's good to see there are people trying to recreate those feelings
🎉 finally an original game that's not a remake, we need more new games also please make silent hill 5 with team silent and keep modern audiences away from it.
Hello bokeh studio, I am a huge fan of your SIREN series and was wondering if we will ever see a remaster or new game? Also is the silent hill franchise connected to SIREN? Is maria in silent hill 2 a siren? So many questions, is there anywhere I can ask these from a member of the team?

Your lens showed the charisma of Hong Kong. Thank you so much. I can’t wait to play Slitterhead

tried the demo and cant wait to play the full version!
Where can I play the demo?
Amazing footage thanks for being serious to the production and glad you like Hong Kong, our good old Hong Kong...
Glad he mentioned Kowloons gate but Shenmue2 kowloon was best representation. Btw, Chongqing is the place if you want kowloon + cyberpunk city like ghost in the shell.

Any info on the genre yet? Apart from being horror based?
It’s an action game with some horror and strategy mechanics

Also is slitter head related to SIREN? Either way I am so excited!
I'd vote Matt McMuscles or eurothug4000 for review codes asap ❤❤❤
Could you guys buy the Rights of Soul Sacrifice Delta and release a remaster? Like Freedom Wars.
also was a great setting in cod black ops.
This reminds me of the Glen Schofield videos from before when the Callisto Protocol launched. For better or for worse.
Only 15 hour no thanks no matter how legendary you was 15 hour for a horror game I will not buy this game until it drop to $10
