- I bought these 'TEC 304 Cannon Silencers' on the recommendation of @TheMissendenFlyer and I'm delighted I did so. They have transformed the bike into perfect all round now. I could listen to the sound all day. Be Warned that the sound on my video does them no justice at all. They sound ten times better in real life. Here is the link to their site. BTW I am not affiliated in any way with this company, in fact they don't even know I'm making this video. Enjoy!!!

Told you they were good! Love mine...and as you know, even better baffles out.....
Thanks again Andy. I love them! 👍🏍❤️
@@WheelieGoodTV ...have you seen you can now get big bore header pipes too?? ;0)
@@TheMissendenFlyer what!!??? I’ll be checking them out…..
@@WheelieGoodTV hi Dave. I have a question about your bike that I noticed in the video. At approx 5:10 mark, your bike seems to make the same whining noise under acceleration that mine makes. Can you recall roughly how many miles the bike had covered at that point and if the noise has lessened over time? Regards, Dave👍
Just bought a pair myself... its like a new bike..!!
Such a meaty sound with those baffles out...
To my ears, these are one of the best sounding bikes, period.
Yep. Totally agree.
Ooh that sounds good!!! A definite improvement.
Yes! I've been waiting for this. Always a pleasure to watch your videos
Thanks bud.👍🏍
The new pipes definitely unleash some of the bike's character that's eager to be heard.
Totally Jimmy!👍🏍
Best sound i hear!!! Thanks man!
Tec do great stuff, Dave 👍! My bro has an Inter and has the same pies as you whereas I have put their 2-1 Stinger system on my Conti. Both sound just ace and save tonnes of weight over the stockers. Enjoy!
Hope the pies were good🥧
@@neilurquhart8622 LOL
The days definitely looks brighter with the TEC pipes, for sure.
Nice job Dave. Its better to be heard and seen then not seen at all. 👍
Totally agree Oliver.👍🏍
Awesome mate! Just traded my Himalayan for GT650 and was thinking to upgrade exhaust. S&S are about a mortgage payment but these sound just as good for 1/3 price😎
They’re brilliant and still going strong! 👍🏍
Bike sounds great. I have 23 interceptor euro5, going to do the same + dna filter and fuel x lite probably voids warranty though.
Great channel 👍
Thanks Robert, yes I often thought about the dna filter too.
Massive difference, looks like the flyer put you right , me old sausage , cheers Shane uk 🇬🇧
Thanks Shane, yes that flyer fella knows his stuff!!😜🏍
I'm sold, great sound, I will be investing soon. Your continental looks great, a whole lot of bike for under 10k.
Echoing my thoughts exactly which made me buy it. I love it!
Yeah that sounds a lot better and more throaty. Great side by side comparison!!!
Sounds great
The sound on decel was best, IMO. 1) Do you have the stock air filter or a low restriction filter?
2) Do you have a Booster Plug installed? 3) It would be nice to hear the difference between
TEC baffles in and TEC baffles out.
I just have the stock air filter and no booster plug. I’ll do a comparison vid when I return home next month of the baffles in and out.
Its so hard to find aftermarket parts in US for Royal Enfield.
I recently put a deposit on the Blacked-out Int 650 here in San Diego and it should arrive either in January or February 2024, God willing. Have you found aftermarket parts here in the US for Royal Enfield? 😎
Tec Cannon Pipes...Clap Clap Clap...me encanta ese sonido para una 650
The new pipes do look good, although it would have been good to have a comparison between stock, new with baffles & new without.
Loving the channel; keep it up 👍
Yes you’re correct Peter. I might do a quick little sound test video for this when I get chance. I’m not home for a month so will do when I get back.👍🏍
Just ordered a GT yesterday for summer, just like yours in chrome tank.
Even the salesman suggested new aftermarket pipes lol.
I can't wait! 🤪💨
Good man. You won’t be disappointed. They’re fantastic!
@@WheelieGoodTV thanks, I even bought a matching RE chrome Mr Clean helmet to go with it lol!
So much more fun to ride with good sounding exhaust!
Totally agree Steve.
Just got mine done at royal Enfield Adare tes fantastic sounds like an old ducati
Great bike, great sound! The only problem for me personally is that the chunkiness of the stock silencers is part of the beauty of the bike, I'd love to have the tec cannon sound without losing those hefty pots. All the aftermarket exhausts I've seen seem slimmer or shorter which is a shame.
Sounds great and a proper bargain.
Yeah, very cheap for the huge difference they make.
Quite nice indeed.
Sound great Dave 👍
Thats a much deeper, bassier sound alright. A good investment i'd say. Enjoy the good weather on the Breffni highways and byways
Cheers Dylan! They sound amazing in real life.
They sound absolutely amazing suit the look of the bike if that makes sense 👍
Totally makes sense. They’ve completed it for me.
Very nice Dave love those Tec Cannon Didgeridoos 😝
Yeah, I love em!😜🏍
Add character to the bike
Very nice sound.
Weight savings over stock pipes? That's important too .
Now that's a good side-by-side comparison. In the long-term, do you still like it or you think it's too loud? Thank you!
I still LOVE it. It’s perfect!!
They definitely better, only they remind me the sound of two stroke 175ccm without a pipe🤔
I wonder how many brand new exhaust pipes are sitting on garage shelves. There must be a better solution. Come on bike makers have a rethink even part ex would help.
Hi Dave, have you still got the Continental? I am thinking of possibly getting one as a number 2 bike to my V100. The TEC slip ons sound excellent and not silly money.
Hi, Joni sold my Enfield only because I never really rode it and got offered a great price for it. The TEC slip ons were brilliant! A great sound from them, a top product.
Only my personal opinion, but I've never been tempted to put loud exhausts on my bikes. They do sound good, but if I was riding all day for several hours, I would find the sound annoying and fatiguing. Maybe that's what comes of riding BMW Boxers the last few years. 😀
When I was 16 I had a Triumph Tiger Terrier (150cc) and I used a broom handle to knock the baffles out of the silencer. The result was a loud exhaust note, but the performance suffered with loss of power and the fuel consumption shot up. I never did it again.
Fair enough buddy. The slip ons haven’t affected anything on the RE I’m pleased to say, only the looks and in a positive way. 👍🏍
So much bettttttttteeerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr blurb rrrrrrrrrrrr 👍
🤣🤣👍🤣
a lot richer note😎👍
Wheely good pipes! Do you have any tips for capturing exhaust sound with the DJI mic? Will it work inside a bum bag on your back or should the mic be attached to the back of the bike?
Yes a bum bag is perfect. I’ve also mounted it under the seat with bath sponge wrapped around it and taped. Works a treat! 👌🏍️

Good video for sound comparison. However, I am stunned that you mention neither performance changes (low, mid, high rpm flexibility or power), nor weight savings, nor required tuning mods (if any) to get the best out of them. As a racer for over 5 decades I can assure you many pipe mods do NOT help with performance. I too, appreciate a great sounding bike, but not without improvement in the more important factors.
Fair point David and totally understand. I was just so excited about the transformation of the sound that I didn’t even think about the stuff you mentioned. For what it’s worth I just clipped them on with no issues regarding idling etc. I don’t notice any increase or decrease in power or weight either. Hope this helps a bit….🫣
It sounds great but i like the stock sound on my int650 but i hate the size n looks of it
Hi, very nice bvideo, several angles and the sound y precise. I have a question, in terms of size, is the length of the TECs the same as the originals? And with regard to the width, does the bike remain the same width or is it reduced slightly in this sense? regards from Colombia
Hi, yes same length but slightly narrower by 2 inches.
Much improved sound, as a matter of intetest, how much extra had you pay in duty, custom/courier admin charges?
I paid €28. Not too bad I suppose.
nice , did you remember to let the engine management get used to them < 15 mins ? >
Sure did Mr Ed. 👍🏍
does this really do anything? ive seen other videos where people have just let the engine run for 10-15 min and they have noticed no difference when switching pipes. is this an actual confirmed thing it actually does?
On the fence about these - would love the extra depth of tone, but I'm concerned about turning into an obnoxious bike - how do non-bike/car people react to it? Any negative feedback?
None at all. Everywhere I go people just want to see the bike and take photos of it.
@@WheelieGoodTV That's very good, thanks! You may have just contributed to another Interceptor getting louder! hahaha
Any weight saving with the slip-ons ? I know that the stock headers are also very heavy but I was wondering what is the difference between stock and aftermarket slip-ons.
There is a very noticeable weight difference Giorgos in favour of the TEC being much lighter. I should have weighed them before I fitted them but just couldn’t wait to get them on🤪. All told, I’m not sure if the performance would be affected hugely by the weight saving whilst riding but pushing the bike around the garage is very noticeable.
Are the trims standard? Or do you have to buy the TC ones? THANK YOU
Hi, I honestly can’t remember. I know you can buy them separately but can’t remember if they come as a standard part of the silencer kit. Their website will tell. Tec Cannon
That's awesome 🤩
Tec rocksssss👌👌👌👌
Wayyyyyy better
Just to confirm this is just the TEC trumpet silencers and stock oem headers correct?
They’re the TEC Cannon slip ons.
Are any additional modifications required if these are used?
Nope. Just pop them on and all good to go. I’ve got a video coming out on Saturday morning about whether to keep the baffles in or out which may be of interest to you.
Is your 650 a euro 5 or 4 ? I wonder if none standard pipes are a problem on euro 5 ?
Hi Chris. It’s Euro 5 and no probs at all. Idles perfectly and runs smooth across the whole
range.
Hi
They sound great I have a euro 5 model can you ride it with baffles out as tec told me not do ride without them in , thanks
Funny enough I prefer the sound of the stock. It just needs to be as bassy but louder. The tec ones sound too annoying 😂😂😂
they are certified...?
they are approved...?
Thanks
Yea they are. Check out their website for full info.
@@WheelieGoodTV thanks 🤩
they sound great but the finish kind of sucks. A little nicer chrome would have made them perfect.
Personally I love the brushed steel. But hey that’s why we all choose different bikes too. 😜👍
@@WheelieGoodTV Yes sir that's why they make all flavors. I like the brushed also if they did matching headers. Ride safe my friend.
Prefer the sound of the originals with the look of the cannons.
try AEW Or Gursewak next time
RE 650 sounds much better.....camera placed at behind was a good idea
👍🏍
DAVE do a sound test with NO exhaust....................... LOL..... they will hear you in the next county...
I wonder how it will sound without the pipes... 😂
Holy God the sheep will be running left right and centre... yep they sound much better. The whole bike looks great Nice roads up that part of the world
Thanks Tom. Yes we’re spoiled for twisties in this part of the world.
When it's not pissing 🌧️
Belta review……nowt better than a Geordie exhaust
Wey Aye Man!
You really cannot whack a nice pair
Oh my god, your a northerner, the shame of it, lol - in fairness the new Tec Cannons sound a lot better :-)
Wey Aye Pet! Great sounding pipes alreet. 👍🏍
They are legit for EU law?
In Ireland they’re fine.
@@WheelieGoodTV thanks. Which code is printed on the slip on?
New pipes sounds a lot better ..
