I have to say the one about the UK conquering half the planet in search of spices just to end up with bland food was hilarious. I went to London and the food I had was tasteless. If I ever go back I will be packing my Creole seasonings.
The group members were good sports.
I feel like you'd have to go out of your way to go to London and have British food, you can eat food from almost anywhere in the world in London.

If I (Dutchie 🇳🇱) think about the British cuisine, the only things I can come up with are:
- full British breakfast
- tea time/marmalade sandwich
- fish and chips with a pint 🙃

A fair review, if only because you said Dutch cuisine is nothing better. Half of the people criticising British cuisine are from places that aren't known for great food either.
Brits always seem to be completely unaware that baked beans originated in "the Colonies."
Met an English street performer in Paris back in 1998. I made my best Bri'ish accent attempt with him. He answers me with, "Cheerio ol' boy !!" 😄
I feel like people judge American food based on the food they eat when they’re here on vacation. Like, Disney, food trucks, and all that. I’ve had fast food in other countries and it literally tastes the same

As a member of one of the people the British stole literally everything from, I thoroughly enjoy the food memes. Like, y’all stole all our peppers, veggies, fruits, and spices and y’all don’t use a single one of them in y’all’s roast!

Exactly. There's countless east asian shops there, yet the british chew on their toast breads, yorkshire puddings, and fish'n'chips. Which are absolutely disgusting to everyone else but them. Well they do eat alot of KFC and MCdonald, basically anything that doesn't require alot or any preparation. You can't even say they have a cuisine.

Its found(short road) between the Tay Road (A92) Bridge (crossing the River Tay) and Dundee University /Dundee railway station,Scotland.I thought it was a seaside place in the South of England!
I think my favorite British meme is the one titled "Anarchy in the UK" which features 2 people. 1 asks the other if he'd like some tea, and the reply is "No."

my cousins and their family live in the UK since they were a child because their parents work in the UK, when they cameback from UK they speak British not Indonesia, they've been silent almost all the time because my family speak sundanese and they never heard about it, and they kinda forgot Indonesian words a little bit because they usually speak British using British accent fluently-
they're so lucky.
I was so lucky to have lived in the UK (Cambridge) for 7 months, I lived with a 100% English host family, and I tell you, I always ate dinner with my salt shaker and ketchup bottle near me. The meals were, not bad in taste, just lacking on it. I remember my favorite savory meals were "chili" and rice and when the side dish was beans!! OMG, amazing (I guess in comparison) and for the life of me, I could not get their obsession with peas... more unflavored stuff to go as a side dish on almost everything... :( salt and ketchup... my best allies for meal time.

The concept of adding seasoning later, giving everyone the option to season to taste? Thats why the salt and pepper are on the table.

@@thefowlyetti2 yeah, I mean, I was the only one using them, but thankfully, as you say, there was the option to salt it. I mean, don't get me wrong, the food was not bad at all, it just was very bland in taste. Now having said that, I loved the full on English breakfast, that was perfect as it was, and fish and chips, beans on toast (yes, I liked those), desserts were amazing.. OH and there was this ... sort of cube made out of... I think it was like dough that was so sweet, I used to eat those up... not sure what they were called. I loved my time there, the people were always so very nice, I loved the crazy weather, the museums, the libraries, the buildings, it is a great place to visit.

The thing is, I am fully 100%British but when I'm alone I switch between 1,000 accents a minute. ( I no it's exaggerating but I'm Bri'ish wo can I say ) idek why I do it, I just think that the British accent is the most bland and boring accent so it is rly easy to switch it to whatever our hearts desire! 🤣 And even weirder, I do it accidentally when talking to anyone and sometimes they think I am actually from the place where the accent originates from like America or Australia. I genuinely need to stop it! 🥲😭😅
Years ago we tended to spoil family members who returned from the UK with good food, for their sacrifice.
Emily is for me like a cup of black coffee. I didn't used to like it, but now that ive acquired the taste i simply need that little bit of bite to start my day. Seriously, looking at the comments on her earliest videos were all "shes a bit rude, eh, chap?" And i agreed. But now i see someone with a stalwart sense of self, someone who cares deeply about the (or at least her) truth, and a person who has the capacity to reflect on her behavior and adjust accordingly. That said, keep being honest, Em. You keep THEM honest. Just... you know... take it easy lol cuz not everyone gets it at first.

My mother worked for Cadbury. The chocolate is very good, but it isn't like American chocolate is inedible. Dairy Milk is 1.5x better than Hershey's, not 10x.

Peoples will said that english peoples are stranges but at the same time some peoples will think the same of french peoples mostly because of the same reason, some foods! i was joking about that, if peoples call english peoples weird then they said the same of french but on other points! i just don't want to judge cultural diference from ANY countries! I want a "world familly" what i mean is i want to be able to call peoples from very diferent countries "heart familly" leaving aside our diferences and what we don't understand of other and just put the "heart" first!

Why would Brits need to pay for braces? I thought they had free healthcare.
The government will normally cover it if your teeth are bad enough to impact your health. But if you want braces purely for cosmetic reasons, they dont cover it just like they wouldn’t for like nose jobs, or hair removal.
At my school a lot of people have them even if their teeth aren’t too bad. It’s not that you’re teeth have to be horrible to get braces but they just have to be a bit out of line. But say if only one tooth is a bit wonky, that’s when you can’t get them for free, but it still isn’t absurdly expensive if you want to buy them for fixing that tiny wonky tooth
Only for health stuff. If you want braces for cosmetic reasons instead of teeth health, no, we aint paying for that shit for you.

@@ParadiseDB7 It's your biggest chocolate brand and in a similar price range to our Cadbury. But doesn't taste nice in comparison. It's because most US chocolate is made with a specific ingredient that is also found in vomit and sour milk. But if you grow up with it you don't notice the difference.

Dental care is not free in the U.K. once you’re an adult 😄. It’s very very expensive!!
Given that they don't have universal health care for essential services in the US, I would highly doubt they have dental coverage. It's not covered in Canada. If you're a student, you have coverage through your university, or if you're working and have a decent job, dental care would be part of the benefits package.
It sort of feels like Harry was trying so hard to vibe with the others, but he was being left out unintentionally by the others. Like, I really don't think anyone intended to be like that to him, but it sort of felt like three girl friends and the one bloke awkwardly trying to be a friend, too.

A well cooked cottage pie or fish n chips etc is as good as any other cuisine.

Totally agree. I don't think we have a big food culture and lots of people aren't that bothered about food quality, but when it's cooked well, it's just as good as anything central, eastern or northern europe has to offer.
I lived in London for six months. It was easy to get good food as long as it was from someone who wasn't ethnically English. People from the UK have no idea how much their BBQ sucks compared to that of the United States.

Our food doesn't rank among the world's best that's true, but it's nowhere near as bad as it's made out. Our problem I think is that we don't have a big food culture compared to places like Italy. Lots of people don't really cook and aren't that bothered about food quality. They eat to live rather than live to eat. But if you look at what we actually do have in terms of produce and recipes, it's actually really tasty when cooked by someone who knows what they're doing. for example:
