Such a fantastic video! How come only 5 k viewers! Enjoyed thoroughly watching beautiful places, people and lovely man-made structures ! Hope the good looking houses, walls, bridges, gompas etc. won't get uglified by bright paints and colours! thank you both!
I have also been upto Niley in November 2017, last northern village of Tsum Valley. Lucky to be there. Thanks for the video. I remembered every moment.
I've been watching a few videos on Manaslu/Tsum and also Kanchenjunga trails as am weighing up which one to do later this year. This one was by far the best and most informative - nicely done and the narration works really well. Informative. Looking forward to watching some more. Thanks.
First off, thank you very much for watching the video. I hope it helps in some way to your planning as being informative and documenting the trek was the main idea behind this journey. The far-east, Kanchenjunga is still a remote trek route. Lower hills have home-stay available but as you go higher towards the base-camp, as far as I am aware you will need to carry your supply and make camps. This is if you follow the route inside Nepal in the far-east. Kanchenjunga is also very popular from Darjeeling, now India. Tsum Valley is a side trek you can make along the Manaslu Circuit Trek. All of it can be done fairly in about 20 days. I hope you did watch the 2nd documentary, which covers the Manaslu section and I have also uploaded the videos on my onwards journey, as I kept walking West. It depends how remote of a trek you would want to do. Camping or teahouse trek. Valley Trek full of lush green trees and flowers or higher passes treks as circuits with near view of the Himalayas. I wish you all the best.
Thanks for the advice and feedback! I guess the appeal of Kanchenjunga is that it is right off the beaten track - although I do prefer teahouse to camping as it is nice to meet and contribute economically to the locals. I did the Darjeeling Kanchenjunga track about 20 years ago (also Everest/Langtang that time too). Anyway, I have watched your Manaslu video now too - also excellent! It definitely looks incredible and looks like you explored lots of interesting side valleys and alternate tracks. I guess ideally I'd like to do them both. Thanks again.
Ben Howe long as the trail is paved, long as the sky is clear and the mountains are colorful at dusk n dawn, long as you get to learn n experience new culture and way of life, long as the self is at peace with the venture. You seem to know what you are doing. Thank you for watching my videos. Hope it helps you. Manaslu Circuit today is similar to what Annapurna Circuit was some 20-30 years back. You must have a guide for Manaslu. Although it is feasible solo, a guide is a legal requirement. Walk it before the roads take over. Have you ever been or thought of Dolpo Trek in Nepal?? I have got Documentary on it as well, which is in post production period atm. Happy treks to you man.
Thanks a lot for this video. Recently i travel to Tsum valley and your infirmation were really helpful for the planning. These days vehicle drives you upto Machikhola so, i was little ahead than your plan. I visited Lungtang Gumba and just to update there's always Annies and 4-5 people can be provided accomodations as well and they have yearly pooja for a week during Dasain. During this trek, I hardly found any traveller in the valley. It must be due to late winter and the virus. I'm also travelling across Nepal for few years. We might cross each other somewhere on the trail..till then see ya😉
6:35 - I sat on this bench on the left in Dovane when the earthquake happened on April 25th in 2015. We´re saved by helicopter two days later on a field up above the village where we fled. So sad to to see that there`s still everything destroyed, nothing`s happened. And we never reached Tsum Valley or the Larky La... :-(
It's a slow reconstruction process in Nepal, and this being such remote and no road access makes it many times difficult. 2015 was a devastating year for the people in the region. I only wish the huge amount of relief work and international fund that flooded into the country has been put to good use. I also hope you shall return one day to complete the journey you started 👣
@@MANAVENTURES I /we came back to Nepal in 2016 (Kangchenjunha) and 2017 (EBC) but unfortunatelly not back to the Manaslu- circuit. In 2016 I financed a delivery of childrens clothes and school supplies and other things to the village of Dovane as thanks to the people there for their guidance and care during the earthquake. Best what we can do: keep on travelling Nepal to help those who do not get help from the governement. So keep going on, MANAVENTURES!

Dhanesh Ghale wow!! Must have been so remote and thrilling back in '99. I wish the trail would remain just the same for many years to come but sadly roads are taking over. It could just be another modern Annapurna Circuit soon. This is a classic trek with so much culture and diversity. Thank you for watching. I am glad you like it.
Hey! Thank you for making such a informative video! I'm trying to decide if I want to do Tsum Valley + Manaslu circuit, or just the Manaslu Circuit. I'd be happy to do Tsum Valley if it's worth it, but it's going to take away from my already slim time in India. Would you recommend doing both, or should I just do the Manaslu Circuit? What would I be missing by skipping Tsum Valley? Thanks again!
Do it man. If you can walk long hours and spare 3-4 days, do it. Not much mountains to see but in terms of culture, people, the valley, landscape, definitely worth it 👣
Alina Gurung oh 😅 that's Day 01-06 on the title. In total of 10 videos altogether, meaning 9 more coming your way. Stay updated. Thanks for watching ✌️
Personally I could manage it for Rs.1000/day, but I had recommend a minimum of Rs.1500/day to stay on the safe side and have it over Rs.2000/day to give yourself more luxury. Now you can do the maths depending on how many days you will be out there for 👣 have a great journey and experience brother.
Camping shouldn't be a problem but I am not an expert in this. I see no reason to make camp anyways, there are small villages you pass along every hour or two every day. Teahouses are common. Enjoy the time with the local people. It's very culturally vibrant.
Does anyone here know an organization/gency or any site where I can find people who I can travel with to destinations like nepal, Bhutan or destinations that are off the trail for mainstream travelers
