  • Learn the basics of finger knitting, which is a wonderful, portable project that only uses your hands and some yarn. Be sure to choose the correct weight of yarn for the size of your hands.
    Young Children 3-5 yrs might find DK - Sport Weight yarn most comfortable. Older children ages 6 - 12 will probably find it easy to work with worsted or chunky weight yarn. Anyone older than 12 should work with chunky - super bulky yarn. Using these recommended weights will produce a fairly dense finished fabric. If you wish to have a lacier look to your project, then use thinner (lighter weight) yarn.
