Finally, at long last, Malaysia & Singapore will be opening their borders on the 1st April 2022, after 2 years of border closure due to COVID-19 pandemic that has ravaged the entire world. With this latest development, today we will heading back to the Larkin area in JB.
But first, I'll heading out to Selera Johor (next to Plaza Larkin) to try out a famous Mee Rebus Stulang Laut in this area. Once we are done with lunch, the Larkin Bus Sentral is located right at the opposite so we will heading there to check out the latest updates & situation over there.
The last time I came here was 3 days before the start of the VTL ( Vaccinated Travel Lane ) between Malaysia & Singapore by land. it has ben 4 months since then. So how would the situation be and how changes since then? Join me for today's vlog.
Just to take the time, for a short intro about myself, I'm JT and welcome to my channel. This channel is about travel, culture, food & family fun. Currently most of the travel would be in Malaysia but I will be covering the various and different states when the time permits. And as for food, I am a foodie so basically as long there is tasty food, good spots or hidden places, I won't be far off.

I was last at Larkin exactely one year ago as we left johor because of covid, sitting in the UK now and looking forward to September when we will returm.
Things in JB look very different now.. Lot of businesses wiped out due to COVID.

Mee Rebus Stulang Lauk , it's a must for me once enter JB. For me it's the Best Mee Rebus in town.. 👍. At Lakin Terminal , selalu makan Asam Pedas at the food court at the top floor .. tak sabar nak masok sana .. anyway tq JT for sharing 👍😀

With the reopening of borders,there will surely be alot of people from SG going over to MY. Hopefully things will remains forever.

Do you know if Sbs Transit will be operating their usual 170 service to JB again?

Havent been to larkin for very long time,last time there was 2012,tmrw will be going there from there will go to other parts of jb,btw if i go home to spore,can i take taxi from larkin all the way to spore ??
I don't recall any taxi service from Larkin since my last visit. ( I could be wrong) . What I would suggest... Take a bus from the CIQ checkpoint. ( any bus) and crossover to Woodland Checkpoint.... You can get a taxi or GRAB ... Would be much cheaper and affordable...Hope you enjoy your stay!.. Cheers!
