Sneak in JB for a midnight snack (ft. Taman Pelangi Food Court ) -
ooo, what's up and How are you doing today?
Been a while since i started to come back to Johor Bahru and I have to say, things are changing pretty fast here. One of the reasons, I enjoy and keep back for more in JB is the food. Been a long time since I was here so we are heading over to pretty famous food court in JB. Let's see what goodies we can find there.
Just to take the time, for a short intro about myself, I'm JT and welcome to my channel. This channel is about travel, culture, food & family fun. Currently most of the travels would be in Malaysia( mainly in Johor Bahru)& sometimes in Singapore as well but I will be covering the various and different states every now and then. And as for food, I am a foodie so basically as long there is tasty food, good spots or hidden places, I will try my best to cover them for you guys.
Remember to share, like and subscribe. Do comments, give suggestions and feedback as well. Stay safe.

May i know how much is the ferry ticket price for JB - BATAM & JB - BATAM?
@natashalojingon8986 As u can recall, just from JB to Batam is around RM 80 to Rm100 per pack, ( one way ) depending on which ferry services as there ate a few ferry services so prices are around the same. There is still a small tax to pay around Rm15- Rm20 ( per pack) if i remember correctly.
Strangely a food lover like you has never been to Penang for its wonderful hawker food. One hour flight away...
Technically, I have been to Penang before I started this whole UA-cam journey. There are plans to head over there again in the near future. Anyway , Thanks and appreciate the comments and support.
Can do an update on food at Century Garden eg. Cedar Food Court?
Yeah, probably will be heading there soon, I miss the food there as well.
Good to see you are back 😊
The Claypot rice stall is legendary.
Yup, They are well-known for that. My kid loves it
Wow, you always enjoy your food , honestly, look yummy 😂
It's all about the food! You gotta try it.
👍✌️🙏
Stay strong!
Do you like Street food?
Always , best food
A small farm in rural area , but lotsa of various animals that kids would love, i reckon
Pretty much spot on , mate . I think not only kids but adults as well, something for a change.
Man like JT, we re watching this now!
Wow , haha!. Surprise! , yeah, we made a trip to Taiwan during the school holidays. Just sharing the experiences and changes we noticed from the trip. Enjoy and take care guys in China.
Thanks for bringing us along 😊
Appreciate the support and comments. Cheers mate.
The animals are so cute 😅
Haha!, the capybaras and the little lambs are pretty adorable
Do you like dogs or cats? Or any type of pets?
Yilan, Jiaoxi county there is home to many hot spring resorts. Can try to go there or even stay there for 2 nights during end of Feb- March, very relaxing and affordable hot spring there ; I like both, so I got both dog and cats in my home. =P
More of a dog person
SBS Transit
Super long fries
😂 yummy food
Well, Taiwan is a food paradise as well.
Taiwan night markets are famous around the world
Pretty much a reason why people go to Taiwan.
Yes, l have...love all the night markets there...."I eat till l drop" 😃😂😀🤣
Haha!
Have you ever been to Taiwan before? How was your experience?
I travel to Taiwan almost every year, haha... Normally I go there around end of Feb or mid March due to nicer weather and got the chance to see sakura trees blooming. First 2 days always stay around Taipei railway station there for easy access to many tourist spots. 3rd to 4th day went to Qing jing for the sheep watching and Hehuan mountain sunrise tour. 5th-6th days at Hua lien , visiting Taroko gorge, Huadong valleys and etc . 7th-8th day went to southern part Tainan and Kending . It feels like home away from home to me. Btw, I'm Malaysian.
Tai Zhong , Jia Yi , Yi Lan , Miao Li , Gao Xiong , Taipei 101/WTC , A Li Shan , Cong You Chang(Spring Onion farm) , Tai Nan , Lu Chang(Deer farm) , Sun Moon Lake , Jiu Yi Dian(Alcohol Museum shop)
Enjoy your holiday
Ho, my last Taipei trip was 16 years ago and also stayed in Ximending area. Recall spending every night at a different night markets, so there was plenty of taiwanese snacks to try. Also remember trying and liking their duck blood noodles. Not something we'd find in SG or MY often. Hope to see more in your next video~
Yes, there will be a few videos from Taiwan. Thank you and appreicate the support. Cheers!
Never been to this modern toilet branch, but i have been to the one on Shilin
😂 Toilet cafe?? Haha
Beef Noodles are Taiwan's speciality. Must try if you havent
Not too bad, but still the local version taste better.
Is there a particular food that you like to try or eat if you ever visit Taiwan?
Stinky Tofu 😂
good food😅😅
Yes, thank you
I might have an idea where this dim sum, no doubt old style should be fantastic.
Located in Taman Johor Jaya
Oriental Kopi is overhyped. It will soon go down like Old Town.
Overhyped, maybe. but becoming like Old Town, judging from the crowds that i noticed most of the time. Very unlikely, the prices, food varieties and service level is so much different. t
Malaysia boleh lah 😊
Aeon is good because it has non-halal food.
Thanks for your video.
Appreciate the support. Cheers mate
May l know this tim sum near tebrau shopping centre how far.
I already left the information in the description as well : 1. Venue : Gui Yuan Restaurant ( 桂苑港式點心茶樓 ) 27, Jalan Dedap 8, Taman Johor Jaya, 81100 Johor Bahru, Johor, Malaysia. It's around a 3-4 minute drive from AEON Tebrau City Mall . Best time is around 8 am to around 10.30am to go for your dim sum
Thanks for sharing again JT. The Dim Sum place look awesome and looking at the crowd, should be good. 👍
What's your favorite place or joint that you always visit when are in JB?
Singapore malls are very congested with narrow walkways to maximise shopfloor space. Shopping in KL is not so depressing.
Well, can't be helped. Limited space and land in Singapore has always been a challenge.
Antonietta Falls
Sorry, i'm not to familiar with that brand I'm afraid.
bro can consider getting external wireless mic as the audio is always soft when you talk
Will be upgrading to a new equipment soon.
Mall count is getting crazy in KL eh! Sad to see we weren't there for it mate!
Haha!, Yoo!! What's up? Apa khabar , How are you guys doing? So anytime soon , you guys will be back in Malaysia? We need to head over for a few pints again. EPL is back :P Cheers mates!
Haven't been to KL for quite a while. Thanks for updates
Every now and then. need to explore KL , things keep changing pretty fast here.
Amazing vlog, bro,
Appreciate the support as always, my friend.
Haven’t been to TRX yet. Will check it out when I’m in KL again. Lalaport Mall near Berjaya Times Square is also huge and swanky but I don’t really like the mixture of shops and restaurants there. It’s not so happening there despite being rather new. Looking at the vibes of TRX that you featured here, I think it is definitely better than KLCC, Pavilion and Lalaport. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you appreciate the support. Cheers mate!
It’s amazing that Malaysia keeps building humongous and swanky shopping malls but they don’t do much to improve and upkeep their roads and walking streets/pavements. Their drains and canals reek of sewage and I see litter everywhere. They are a shame to use and look at, given their conditions and functionality. 😅
In a way, like every major city, there will be certain quarters that will be more of the slums. Nothing we can do much about it. If you been to Bangkok or Jakarta, the problems or situation might be worse.
It's kind of walkable from Bukit Bintang to the TRX mall if you are keen. Just go towards the Imbi area, and can walk towards the building. A few eateries of interest along the way as well. The rooftop garden at TRX comes with children playground as well.
Ya, I walked back to Bukit Bintang from TRX mall. Much cooler in the evenings, I'll just melt in the afternoon sun.
Wow, oh , you headed to KL from JB again. The mall does look pretty massive alright.
Yup, one of the biggest malls i have seen so far.
Lol bro, there's no pineapple in pineapple bun, it's called that because it looks like a pineapple 🤭
Hmm, Really? i thought i bite some small pieces of pineapple chunks. Cheers mate!
Been a while, but it's a good feeling to be back. Is there a place that you would always go or would like to go when you come to KL?
Came across your videos while looking at what holiday plaza looks like before going. Gotta say , great content bro keep up the good work!💪🏻
Oh , Thank you and appreciate the support. Cheers mate!
Thanks for sharing. Did you need to fill out an e-customs declaration?
No need for Singaporean & Malaysian passport holders, we pass through the custom with ease.
Bon Odori looks amazing and happening ,bro
Cheaper ferry ticket compare Singapore to Batam?
Well, if comparing RM & SGD .Yes, much cheaper from JB and a different experience as well.
