He left her because of her own deep dark depression, the guilt of leaving your family for stardom, but she did what she did an chased her dreams an gave the world ABBA, I think she chose her dreams than stay home be depressed an not have chased her dreams. She made a sacrifice, but amazing beautiful Frida, you are a gift an the world truly loves an respects you. Poor Benny though he would've been getting the brunt of all those tantrums lol

Benny was an alcoholic. He admitted it. Frida was suffering from depression and insecurity being a lebensborn child and an orphan damaged her to no end. She used to constantly ask Benny do you really liove me? Probably why she wouldn't marry him for so long. Then she finally does and he sees all her fears come true as he cheats on her and gets another woman pregnant.

And poor Frida bore the brunt of his alcoholism and work aholicism. He begged her to get married for years. Then she finally relents and he gets another woman pregnant and leaves her. That's gratitude

I agree. When he was with Frida, he was much more comical and lighter in personality. Such a shame as they were my favorite couple out of the two. You could see cracks in Agnetha and Bjorn's marriage very early on, but Frida and Benny splitting up surprised me.
