💥💥💥Hi everyone, thank you for checking out my videos! Just wanted to say that my band Laniakea has released an EP titled, "You Bring Colours". It was a monstrous undertaking that took the course of a few years to complete and I would be eternally grateful for anyone who wishes to have a listen to what we have created! Our music can be found here: linktr.ee/laniakeatheband For fans of: Plini, Chon, Explosions in the Sky, Covet, Toe, Hammock, Post-Rock, Math-Rock and Prog in general.
Thanks so much, man. You actually just reminded me I have a Moonflower cover that I recorded at the same time as this, buried in my hard drive. Hopefully gonna post that too.
Thanks so much, man! Hopefully I can grow my channel. Actually have a few things I can post, but the perfectionism/procrastination cocktail has been my bane as of late...
broooooooooooooooooooooooo the only thing I could even say is not right is the little trem picking thing that's like 2 db at 2:11 to 2:24 absolutely solid!!!!!
Hard to explain with text, and I'm assuming you're talking about 1:45. Basically, you have to listen to the drums (particularly the hi-hat) to feel the pulse. Technique wise, it's not crazy difficult but you have to work on your ability to count the internal 16th note subdivisions to get the rhythms to sound tight. Hope that helps!
Thanks so much! I've definitely thought about doing UA-cam guitar lessons before. Not sure if I can commit to full song tutorials. Probably just general tips and maybe some small sections or solos!
Glad you enjoyed it! There are no stem tracks actually. I just recorded to the actual song set to a pretty low volume and focused on tracking everything super tight. I may have scooped some midrange frequencies to make the guitar in the original track less present as well.
Thanks so much! Yeah, the Strandberg definitely does help, but the axe fx 3 is also a huge part because you can get pretty much any sound you want with it.

i loved your cover!! it is really well made.
I was wondering. where did you get the stem tracks from the drums keyboards and bass?
Glad you enjoyed it! There are no stem tracks actually. I just recorded to the actual song set to a pretty low volume and focused on tracking everything super tight. I may have scooped some midrange frequencies to make the guitar in the original track less present as well.
@@rossau1781 Man, awesome job. I didnt even noticed!!
This is actually amazing! Congrats!! What tuning did you use? Looks like Drop something
Thanks, tuning is Dropped Db!
does playing strandberg helping you to get so close to Plini's tone? Your tone is spot on dude.
Thanks so much! Yeah, the Strandberg definitely does help, but the axe fx 3 is also a huge part because you can get pretty much any sound you want with it.
Great guitar work man🔥🔥
What's the tempo & time signature for this?
Thanks! I can't remember the tempo, but I know the intro/outro is 13/8. Everything else should be in 4/4.
Wow , This is Great! How did you get those drums! ?
Thanks! I just had the original song running in the background.
Anyone know what tuning this song is in?
It's entire guitar down a half step and low E tuned to C#
what model of strandberg do you use??
It's a Korean made Boden Prog 6 with some mods to the tremolo and the pickup wiring.
@@rossau1781 wow, I use the same model as boden prog 6 black. It's a very versatile guitar
@@estebansaez2145 Indeed!
What’s the tuning to this ??
Drop Db.
doesn't it feels very loose with that much down tuning?
But where do I get this shirt?
Got it when I saw him live a few years back! I don't think they sell them anymore unfortunately.
Is this standard tuning or not?
Dropped Db.
Standard Tuning?
Dropped Db
How does this have so few views? What in the fuck.
