The Clean and the Silver are to me the best sounding pedals. I just ordered the Clean after watching your video!😆 IMHO the chords and chops you're using for this video are absolutely fantastic!🤩They catch the tone and versatility of the 3 Archers very well. I am learning the chords comping you play because they're very inspiring! One question: which guitar and amp are you using for this video? Guess it's a sort of LP with a bigsby or a Les Trem and probably a Fender-ish amp? Maybe a real Two Rock? Thank you!
I initially bought the regular silver Archer but could never got the tone I was looking for and sold it. To compressed for me and not enough midrange. Gets scooped as soon as you add gain. Got a KTR that I love. Punchy, with these tights bass and mids. After watching this video I got the Archer clean...OMG. I understand why you can't find them on eBay and why they are always out of stock. Honestly, I would not take the Archer Clean on my pedalboard instead of the KTR. There is so much versatility between the color and the tone knobs. Just ordered my third Archer clean. To be it's the closest I have ever seen to the klon. It's almost better IMO because it keeps your tone intact.
It’s always the gold one that has a little something extra for me. It sounds the thinnest but in a great way. I love them all though. The physical pedals are genius, they look and feel so good in your hand.
at minimum level, it's your exact tone. After 12 o'clock, it had some kind of gain and accentuates the mids. In order words, it fattens the tone with a mix of mids and bass without ever getting muddy. Astonishing.
I've always wondered if these kind of comparisons aren't biased when made without a switcher or A/B Box because these pedals are Buffered if I'm not mistaken, and the following pedals will always sound altered
Nice video, I'm gonna get the the silver archer. Thanks
leaning that way too, did you get one? if so, you love it?
