Thank you for breaking this down so thoroughly! I wanted to tell you that I just lit up my fans for the first time recently and it was so fun. My badass points increased by like 1000.😂 Your videos have really helped me so THANK YOU!!!
You are so my absolute FAVORITE fire fan tutorial teacher! You are the most clear, I love how you break it down. You’re also funny and unique! Thank you for breaking it down the best! I have learnt a lot from you
I'm new to fanning (about 3 months) and this was one of the first tutorials I came across. I loved the move but it was really challenging. I just wanted to let you know that I finally got it after tons of practice!! I've watched this tutorial probably too many times to count. Thank you so much!!
You got the windmill after only doing fans for 3 months? Kudos! It's usually (at least from my experience) taught as a more intermediate trick, so that's awesome you were able to do it so early in your flow journey! My hats off to you, friend! Kudos!
Hello Dani 🙏 I was intrigued to read your sneak peek after seeing the quote at the end of this video. I want to know who who's quote that is and I want to know more about the quote 🙂 What I liked about the sneak peek was that it had me questioning my own judgments while I read it. It seemed to be very deep which is all I have time for. For example when he asked something along the lines of could he wear the title of fool with pride (I think). That had me wondering if this had to do with the English language and its spells. Rex's name made me think of someone mischievous although what he was saying seemed wise. At first I thought the cover said the stage is your path to freedom. However I reread it to read the opposite. I think the black and white had my eyes confused. An illustration on the cover-of what the story was about would be even more intriguing to my eye. I'm writing this from the future March 2nd 2023. I hope all of your visions came and to fruition.
Thanks so much! Actually, I have since gotten a new, much better cover design, so that's all set. The quote at the end of the video is actually mine, and it's something the protagonist and love interest say to each other. The entire theme of the book is about taking chances, and their love is one that ultimately threatens both of them. Let me know if you get to read the whole thing, and what you think of it, cause book 2 is almost ready to start its own publishing process 🥰 Thanks so much for watching, and for reading the sneak peek!
It looks super close, but it's actually not close enough for that to happen. If you are concerned, definitely try to practice with a mirror and look from the side. This kind of fire doesn't really jump, so as long as it's a few inches away, it won't burn it. Though a low ponytail when burning is a good precaution if you're still nervous. Just avoid gels and sprays.
Thank you for the tutorials! Would you tell me what kind of fans you are using? What they are called or where to buy them? I think I those would likely be the best choice for me.
Thank you for watching! These are Forged Creations fans with the Doodle grip. They have quite a few different styles, but all their fans are great quality. I got the 1.5" finger loop, but the size you get is all about preference.
Thank you!! I hear the 1.5" gives better control, n that the 2" is more for bigger hands. I do have petite hands. Do you have any complaints about your 1.5"?
@@zinathewandererprincess9631 No complaints as far as the grip goes, but I've noticed the wicks don't hold fire for very long, so I think it's worth reaching out to the community about how to fix that, or work with it. I don't perform with fire very often, so it's only a minor hindrance for me.
Thank you. Ceramic knots hold fire for longer n burn brighter. Their heat resistance is much higher at 2200°F (1200°C) as opposed to 750°F (400°C) of Kevlar. Ceramic is just less durable. You can usually get about 5 minutes out of ceramic. Around 3, 3 n a half is typical for kevlar. I've only ever used kevlar, myself. N it works well for me.
@@zinathewandererprincess9631 Nice! I don't think I've seen ceramic wicks before, but I will keep my eyes peeled for them and gather some opinions and experiences.
Thank you! This was very helpful - i do poi and can do windmills with them no problem - but with fans my brain just freezes. I don't understand what's going on 🤣
Viv - you can change the playback settings! I almost ALWAYS slow down the play speed on tutorial vids and it helps me IMMENSELY. Super handy trick 👍. And super great video Dani, Thank yoooooooou
I love how you explained going slow with '1' and '2.' That really helped!

Thank you for doing this video. Question: it’s so close to your head. How does it not catch your hair on fire?

I've had that happen too! 🤣 So weird!

ahhhck. I'm not gonna lie... that was way too fast for me. I could have done with a slower breakdown?
Thanks for letting me know, I'll try to slow down in the future. Is there a specific part you're stuck on?
