Her nane is A . I , not A . L , which pronounce as "eye", mean "love" in japanese.
Just like all the other artists that performed on First Take, its a performance that specially arrange to perform on First Take.
from 1:08-1:57 of her first take video, she was actually singing another song "Story" which is one of her most famous song, and after that with the piano came in, switched to "Aldebaran"
I don't think First Take had requested the artist to sing which song or how they perform it, they just let the artists to decide how to arrange the performance by their own self.
And "come come everybody" is a TV drama but not a TV show, where Aldebaran is the theme song. so Ai won't perform at the TV drama.

I was lucky enough to go to her live when she came and held concert in Hong Kong 4 years ago, and I was so moved and cried when she sang "Story"
I think the artists usually come to The First Take for promotion (its just my own guess, but I noticed that the artists usually "will soon" / "had recently just" release their new single / album when they perform on the First Take)
At first, Artists who performed in The First Take were tended to newer and younger (of cause not worse, just younger and newer in their music career)
but as the First Take grew more popular, some big artists like Glay, Misia, Ikimono Gakari, Prono Graffitti, Nakashima Mika, Tomoyasu Hotei and now Ai had also came and make their first take performance as well!!!
I really hope I will see more artists come and make their The First Take special performance
