Just wondering, is the actual deed poll the only thing that needs to be printed on deed poll paper or does the affidavit of attesting witness and application form need to be printed on deed poll paper also? Do you need copies of the deed poll when enrolling it or do you just need the one original deed poll. The courts website is a little bit confusing.

Just maybe a parting comment. Alexis Be careful of doing stuff on the Internet, it can be a breeding ground for hate against the Transgendered community. Also you will meet people along the way who will tell you they are transitioning but their not. They have other problems. You will met people who will pretend that they want to date you because they understand all your problems and they see you as the most beautiful woman in the world but these people are not your friend, they are men who are hiding their own secrets. This part of your journey right now is the most dangerous not after the surgery. Because afterwards the men and women that want to be with you are the best. Sorry for going on. Take care.
I am very cautious of the internet i try to keep my location as Ireland and wont go into any further details. As for hateful comments i have a strong wall i grew up with homophobia and transphobia as a everyday thing. I am strong because of it :) As for potential partners i am very aware of people with the wrong intentions Thank you so much for your concern and advice :)
Alexis yr welcome, don't forget when yr time comes for HRT that you ask yr GP/Specialist about Estrogen only patchs. Stay away from Estrogen/Progesterone combined. Can increase yr risk of breast cancer and liver damage. The testosterone blocker injection is fun"not". They switch off the production of that hormone so that the estrogen can do it job making you look fab. Only down side is I hope you like big needles.
Surprisingly yes it was a repetitive slow journey to change over my details on other documents like passport, bank and degrees it was a slow process that was made easier with my legal deedpoll but you never notice how many elements of your life is connected to your name

I got my grc (gender recognition cert) straight after getting my deedpoll back so my name was changed and I had to change my gender When the gender cert came in the post, there was a form in the envelope to update my birth cert with the correct name and gender
That's the spirit. I know today the Doctors are a lot more cautious than ever before about starting T girls on HRT and than moving on to surgery, essentially Alexis cos some not all T girls the older ones messed up the system because they changed their minds half way through or didn't have the surgery and than for other girls who were waiting desperately it just made it more difficult for them. Essentially why the system make you wait so long is they are testing you to see will you give up and go away. The process is expensive and sometimes people are disappointed afterwards. For example, the HRT didn't fix my voice. It won't sweetie. The HRT didn't give me boobs like Pamela Anderson. They wont sweetie and so on. It all depends on what you look like before y start not after. You Alexis already are half way there and you haven't taken anything so yr very lucky.
