Awesome tutorial. I learned quite a few things in just a few minutes. I like how you always focus on using what is at hand and providing low budget alternatives for us normies who just love photography as a hobby.

Wow, I was not aware that you can DOF blur out relections. How cool ist that?!
That was something I learned in this video as well.
Well in this example (car 30cm away, reflected tools 2m away) of course, they’re not at the same distance.
But you won’t be able to blur the reflection of a landscape at «« infinity »»
It's been over a year since I bought SDP and it improves and has been a great roadmap to everything you do on yt. Thank You for lessons that keep teaching. Was worth more IMO

last week i bought 2 canon RPs and 2 nikon z5s.........all 4 of them had at least 4 to 5 stuck/dead/hot pixels right out of the box.......returned them for new replacement units........they again had the same issue right out of the box........returned them all............now i dont know what these stuck/dead/hot pixels are, tried to search on internet but found nothing except couple of forums on dpreview, even manufacturers doesnt discuss them in FAQs, surprisingly channels like yours, jared polin, michael maven............doesnt talk about these issues.......you could make a video on this issue like what they are, how they can be fixed, how we can detect them, what is normal limit to have them.......in my experience dslrs had less of these issues, electronics in mirrorless systems is having more of these issues........i believe in mirrorless bodies you must have encountered stuck/dead/hot pixels.

aquarium or window reflections, i used a collapsable bog bowl with the bottom cut out to fit the lens. cheap but affective

Great content, I think I remember an old video that said "when you want to kill ambient light the first thing to do is change your settings until you don't see anything, then you can start adding lights" would that work?

Phone is nice in shooting through glass as you a put it flat on the glass especially if you have some case that hides the camera bump.

Lol the struggle as we create content. A soft box would take care of your product photography (you can make a small box with white walls and stick the camera through it. I find my hardest things is when describing things I mispronounce the words or the accent makes it mean something totally different than what I’m trying to say 😅 but, the video was great, cool basic tricks.

Why is the exposure of the background constantly changing or pulsating like that?
It's a flaw with the Sony a7S III. Im mentioning it in my long term review tomorrow. It sucks.
@@TonyAndChelsea oh wow didn't expect that. It must be heartbreaking that such a perfect camera has this flaw. Hopefully Sony fixes it with a firmware update. Anyway it didn't distract from the great educational content. It never occured to me that I can blur out reflection with DOF and/or focusing closer :)

7. Use photo editing software
Ya know Chelsea, there aren’t many female wildlife/bird photographers on UA-cam, if any really. You keep claiming to be one and own all that expensive gear for it so Have you ever thought about doing an extra UA-cam channel with just you being a wildlife photographer? I don’t see many or any female landscape, wildlife, street UA-cam photography channels...majority (Not all) of the female photographers on UA-cam are wedding/portrait photographers. Start the movement and start your own channel that focuses on a genre.

😏 didn’t you make a video 7 years or so ago that you didn’t need polarizing filters? As with ND filters. 🤨
I taught free techniques to produce saturation and sky darkening effects without having to buy a filter, but I also created a video specifically showing how polarizing filters cut reflection.
@@TonyAndChelsea haha, just pulling your leg. There’s always a place and time for certain tools and the video I mentioned said you don’t need them at all. Only remember it because I watched it last night.
