Couldn’t be happier with my black iPhone 15 plus! Upgraded from an iPhone 14 Pro Max and I don’t miss the extra camera or the 120hZ refresh rate, it didn’t apply to everything anyway 😂 but something that nobody talks about is how lightweight and comfortable the iPhone 15 plus is to hold! Once I compared the weight difference, I was sold 😎
For me it would be perfect with promotion display. But I wouldn’t pay the extra money for the Pro model
The 14 Plus’s light weight was my favorite thing about it when I tried it, the 15 Plus is a great jump from the previous model. Reminds me of the jump from 12 mini to 13 mini; I wish Apple would have all of them in the lineup or rotate the Plus and Mini every two years.

Upgraded to the black 15+ from 12 pro max ,, love it .. agree with the feel . I loved the 7/8 plus and reminds me of that with the thinner smooth edges .. battery is epic
I got my 15 Plus back in September! I absolutely love it! Just such an amazing phone 15 pro max is getting better zoom more weight same battery life better chip though it’s not that noticeable day to day! So I’m sticking the the iPhone + line it’s amazing!

I love my 15 plus. I don’t notice the 60 hz refresh rate and it is so much more comfortable to hold than the 14 pro max I had before. Gave that to my hubby who was using the 12 pro max. The camera and the battery are great! 👍

i got the 15 plus in late December and coming from a 4 year old samsung mid range phone, this thing is a BEAST i love this phone honestly, the battery never fails to amaze me and the cameras are mind blowing

I also went from a 15 PM Natural to the 15 Plus Black. I miss absolutely nothing in the PM. Bought the PM just for the nice color and the size. Never used AOD, I don't zoom a lot in photos and I really don't see a difference between 60 Hz and 120 Hz. (Yes, people like me exist. 😅 During the last year I went from iPhone XS > 14 Pro > Galaxy Z Flip 5 > 15 PM and I honestly don't get the fuss.)
I thought for a really long time whether I should buy the Plus or Pro Max. I chose the Plus and I don't regret it. The battery lasts all day without any problems. My sister has the Pro Max and I compared them. The Pro Max has a macro mode. That's the only difference for me. I didn't notice any major differences in the camera. The 60 Hz refresh rate doesn't bother me at all. If it had 60Hz before, it won't bother you. Still, Apple should have made 120 Hz the price!

I sometimes use 60hz on my S21 to get longer battery, and I notice a difference after switching back to 120hz. After getting this S21 for Christmas, the 120hz feels smoother and faster than my iPhone did.

Well I had S21 and always used battery saving feature which limited screen to 60hz and yep there is a diffrence, but it's not gaming where it really matters, so I bought my first Iphone in my life 15 plus. And bro, that was the best decission I could make. With S21 i had to recharge it during a day due to my work specification and heavy phone usage, and now I use it whole day like with s21 and I still have arround 30% battery left at the end of the day.
When I compare it to my S21 yes its not as fluent as 120hz but It's easy to get used to it and I value battery over refresh rate.

Hey Nick, great video! Do you happen to know whether the regular iPhone 15 can match the Plus's battery life with just 30 mins of additional charging in the afternoon? The allure of the plus is the battery life but I don't enjoy the bulk.. Wondering if the 15 can be as good with 30 mins of charging midday
No absolutely not the 15 Plus is ahead by a couple hours but the 15 can easily make it a solid day but not much battery life to spare you’ll need to top it off before the next day
Depends on 2 conditions
1. The battery percentage when you start charging the phone
2. The temperature of the phone when you start charging.
Charging a cool iphone 30 minutes from 20% could get you to 55-60%. Assume 15+ can have 11 hours screen on time from 100 to 0% and reg 15 can only 8 hours but the extra 40% would make it end up with also 11 hours screen on time. The problem is the battery health will be down faster
I’m loving my iPhone 15 plus. Battery is awesome. Performance top notch. Bit odd that the plus didn’t get action button 😅 but definitely not a dealbreaker. All in all. 9/10
When Apple introduced the Dynamic Island they used a new sub-pixel antialiasing system for smoother animations. I’m sure that they have brought this technology to the regular 15 along with the Dynamic Island. I was in the Apple Store and compared 60 to 120hz. I found a subtle difference in a side-by-side comparison. I do notice the image on my mum’s 15 Plus is umm… nicer?… than my 12 Pro Max I put that down to the newer, brighter screen. Maybe it is because of a new sub-pixel antialiasing system making the display smoother also?
Thank you--that explains it! I've been considering upgrading from a 13 Pro Max to a 15 Plus for cost and battery life, and I could not for the life of me figure out why frame limiting my 13 Pro Max to 60hz (for comparison sake in an Apple Store) looked significantly less smooth/more juddery than native 60hz on a 15 Plus. Now that makes sense. Definitely will be making the switch now!
@@chicagocarless That is not really an upgrade - just a move sideways. I was seriously considering a new phone this year, but decided to get the Apple store to install a new battery and wait another year. The 13 PM is a great phone.
@@dazauto107 I hadn't considered that, but it's a great idea. Definitely an upgrade, though, because I'll have more of what I want versus my current phone. I want 2x zoom back, a lower bill, a lighter phone, other things a 15 Plus will give me that my 13 Pro Max--on its own and in the storage size I have--will not give me over the next 18 months or so.
I think the plus models are underrated, however that 60Hz refresh rate is soooo concerning.
i agree 100% with everything you have said in this video. I swapped from the 15pro to the 15 plus - I wanted best battery and bigger screen. Holy s**tballs, I don’t regret it. It took me a day to forget that I don’t have ProMotion 120htz and even now I pick up this beast of a phone and go “ohhhh so smooth…wait…” and realise no, it’s still 60htz. iOS is just so smooth on this thing I don’t notice nor miss the refresh. The cameras are amazing, even without the third lens, and the weight is sooooo much nicer than the pro max models. The black (which I have as I didn’t like the pastels) looks like a pro phone - I actually compared it to the black 15 pro in store and - it looks better and more “pro” than the actual pro model. The battery is stellar and lasts me all day and then some - and now having the island I feel like I have the latest and greatest - but paid so much less. This phone is a beast and I’m LOVING it. Best phone Apple’s released in literally years, since the introduction of the X

i got the same 15 plus the only thing making me worried is that if i needed to resell and upgrade will it lose significant amount of it's price or will it hold it's value ?
All iPhones lose significant amount of money, when you buy a brand new one, then try to sell it second hand, for example, I have seen people losing £200-£300 plus after having a iPhone 15 pro max for only a few monthns etc

If you want the 15 Plus experience just Limit Refresh Rate on 15 Pro Max to 60Hz 😂 then you have a 15 Plus Max as you still have the 5x optical zoom, better 48MP camera, 3nm A17 Pro power, 8GB RAM and faster USB-C 😄
You are right man people say that the 15 plus has the best battery out of the 15 lineup but they don’t say that the 15 plus is limited to 60 hertz
@@angelramos1884nobody really cares about the Hz or ever really notice after awhile of using it. i switched from the 15 pro max to the 15 plus and the 15 plus is way better it feels faster even with 60 Hz, the battery last way longer and the connection is definitely better , and me personally the camera is way better than 15 pro max. for some reason i think apple this year kind of tricked us with the phones because for some reason i feel like they made the 15 plus better than the 15 pro max on purpose without trying to get people to know so that they could be getting more money of the 15 pro max because apple knew everyone was still going to get the 15 pro max because of the camera, but they knew the 15 plus was better.
Right! Now magically reduce the price to 900 and you have a better phone for the same price! 🤦♂️

My suggestion, since you already on the Pro Max, get the 15 Pro/ Pro Max. Jumping from the 14 Pro Max to 15 Plus would feel like a downgrade. 60hz, and slower usb-c transfer speed might turn you off. I made the jump from iphone X to the 15 Plus, which to me is a big jump and enjoying it so far
@@barrymbx6well, i did the switch from my 14PM to 15 plus and so far, i don't regret it. Its so refreshing to hold a big phone but so much lighter and comfortable to hold. 14PM feels more premium but liking this 15 plus so far.
In my country people do even use 15 plus to its full potential, if they are still buying pros its just to show off three cameras at the back for status. Its funny how we have learnt to associate our social image with the number of cameras at the back of our phones.

I think this makes sense for your average phone user, even though an average user can sill appreciate pro motion. The 15 plus with last years pro chip will please most people. The only issue is, if you go for the plus, with at least 256 gb, you’re already at pro level pricing with I don’t think is justified.
Not really an issue--it's all relative, depending on what people want out of their phone. My 1TB 13 Pro Max is far more expensive than the 256GB 15 Plus I'm considering upgrading to. Never used the storage for video as I expected to (and frankly hated losing 2x zoom for 3x zoom), don't care about LIDAR (don't care about night portraits), and want a lighter phone with the best battery life out of all four 15s. So for me, it's a terrific deal, that also helps me avoid 15 Pro Max durability and overheating concerns.
There are videos on youtube that show the average uses won't notice 120hz and won't care.
I have the red 14 Plus. Best smartphone I have eve had!!! Chose it over the 15 Plus because it doesn't have the Dynamic Island.

Same here. I have a iPhone 13 mini and I guess I’ll be keeping it a while cause I also have a Galaxy s21 ultra phone and I switch back-and-forth between the two of them. I may update my galaxy this year, but I won’t update my iPhone ever.

I just unwrapped my iPhone 15plus yesterday 🫶🏾💯 it’s my 2nd day and I’m loving it… mind you me I just upgraded from an iPhone 11 which is a total upgrade for me… I’m glad I ran across your video because I had in mind to upgrade to the Pro Max in 60 days, after looking at your video I’m having a change of mind honestly 😊 I think I might if anything with to that beautiful black version at the moment I have the blue color witch is very softer for a man had I know this color would look like it’s for a woman I would’ve gotten the black color but still and all it’s a nice phone to have by far 😊

I went from 14 pro max to the 15 plus coz of the weight. To me, they are pretty much the same phone in terms of usage and performance. Lol
Another person commented on this but I have an iPhone 13 mini and since Apple dropped the physical Sim and I have a android phone that I switch back-and-forth with. I guess I won’t be updating ever and the funny thing is if you look into it apples doing nothing with that space they just have a box inside they’re holding it so they took a feature away and then not doing anything, I know this is old news and many people don’t care

Hi Nick, I have the iPhone 14 Pro and it has poor battery life, screen scrolling problem and other bugs. Should I trade in to the the 15 Pro or the 15 Pro Max or wait for the 16 Pro?
if you want a better battery then always go for the pro max or plus, because the base and smaller pro has small battery

@@satxrnhimself I returned my 15 and bought a OnePlus 10t for 300 new. Charges in 20 mins, and that means a lot to me. Everything else is smooth. My wife has a 14 pro Max and didn't seem to have any issues. I just hate iOS operating system

@@shafi5th see it’s not a bad phone in terms of gaming and performance as most of the iPhone above 12 performs good in day to day task. ( I upgraded from 13 to 15 plus) but the camera is no where close to my 13 and it’s slightly even better than my friends 14PM. And the usb C helps you take gaming to another level where u can connect joystick to phone and tv and play like ps5. 14 plus is not a bad phone but in 2023 if you buy it you’ll miss out on 1 year software updates etc. the camera, usb C and brightness is worth it. I think 100$ extra can be paid for camera only imo.

I have the iPhone 15 Pro Max, my wife has the 15 Plus. Indoor and low-light pics are far, far superior on my wife's 15 Plus. Not just a little bit superior - the colours, the definition, the clarity are way better for indoor shots on the 15 Plus. The indoor, low-light pics on my Pro Max are useless. I don't use it anymore. More people use iPhones for photos indoors, it defeats the purpose to have such low quality. If you use your phone's camera for indoor shots buy the 15 Plus!

I’d personally opt for the 15+ plus rather than the 15 pro max because the cameras of the pro max are so huge which kind of makes the phone look bad and kind of too much.
And knowing apple, they aren’t going to decrease them for the future models anytime soon.

I have a similar predicament, I own the oneplus 10pro at the moment, I have had iPhones in the past, I switch back and forth between ios and Android, I also have a ipad 11 inch pro, the oneplus 12 looks good to be honest, but I am thinking of having a change again, just a bit concerned that I will miss the 120hz pro motion display, as I have it on my oneplus 10 pro and my ipad etc, I have to say I do like the look of the 15 plus though.
I can totally relate, I know some folks say they can just go back to the 60hz display and be okay after a couple of weeks. I on the other hand hate leaving my 90hz or 120hz screen lol.

I went from the 10 to the 15 plus every iPhone after 10 looks the same 10 was the best looking one if u ask me. That glass back was everything and I still have my 10 it looks perfect I take care of my phones.
the 15 isn't actually black. it's again the midnight color and seeing that color show under direct sunlight or bright LED lights made me return it. I hate the midnight color ever since it was introduced, it makes all the iphones with that color look so cheap

It would make no sense business wise for Apple to put 120hz pro motion display on the iPhone 15 plus, as hardly anyone would buy the 15 pro max! People would not pay the extra £300 for just a small improvement on the camera, so basically the 15 plus would become a pro with the 120hz pro motion display etc.. It makes no sense to do it.

I have the 15 plus in Black color and really happy with it,but sometimes when I see a video on instagram or tiktok the brightness goes high and that Happens only on 1 vid and when I scroll down it is normal. I dont k ow if it is a Bug or not do anyone Else also experience this Bug?

For me the color doesn't mean a lot because I use a case to protect my investment. I think most people feel the same. I think those who choose not to protect their investment are in the minority and the phone color would be more important to those users.
I love my 14 plus! If I had money to burn I’d get the 15 plus. I’ll wait.

For me it makes no sense to get the 15 pro max over the plus unless you love doomscrolling or twitter to get that 120hz experience, or if you’re a professional photographer.

For the people who can't purchase Pro model but still want Apple ecosystem and large screen. There's no other point for buying this phone. No telephoto lens and limited to 60 Hz display.
Downgraded from the 15 pro max to the plus, the plus is an amazing phone the battery life is so solid, light weight so nice , the 15 pm is great but don’t really use all the camera features don’t use Log ,edit a bunch of photos or transfer huge file sizes, the 60hz refresh rate is fine don’t really miss the 120 at all, I love the 15 plus

If the 15 plus had 120hz almost all pro customers will go with the plus
… marketing. The 15 or Plus is all the phone most people need. Even without 120Hz. Having held the models side-by-side the difference is subtle.
It would basically be a pro version, with a slightly worse camera, Apple are not stupid, this is why they have put 60hz on the 15 plus, nobody in the right mind would pay the extra £300 for the pro, if the 15 plus had the 120hz pro motion display.

Def iPhone 15 Plus. Better battery, chip, feels more premium, Dynamic Island, better camera imo, more updates, USB-C. All your losing is pro motion and it’s honestly not that serious I’m sorry I’m a tech person and yes you notice it but it goes away quickly once you get used to it.
15 Plus - Dynamic Island, 48Mp main camera, brighter screen, A16 processor, HDR5, Qualcomm X75 modem. Unless you must have 120Hz - which is not a big deal for most people.
ios may be smooth but that 60Hz refresh rate was obvious. Stop being bias and fanboy and say it is super smooth.

Nope it's not. They are pretty much the same phone. The 14 pro max is alot heavier and the 15 plus has better battery life. 120hz vs 60hz, I can tell the difference but after a while like a few days the difference of that fades. The 15 plus is fast and smooth
