Those extra arm links for the front wheels are for slight toe out of the front wheels, instead of toe in as it comes new in the box. The included battery is a lithium ion battery. And no you can't use a 3S battery, not without upgrading the ESC and motor .

Wish they had a bit more ground clearance, my pavement driving area is not the best.
Hey Stephen! Yeah I hear you, a nice paved area is needed. Luckily the street outside my house is pretty good, not many stones on it. That's one nice advantage living in a quiet neighborhood in the city. But also why I don't have many of these on-road RCs because you are limited to something smooth or it doesn't work. 1/16 buggy or truggy will get you some clearance and then change to road tires and even switch to a rally body or something. Works well too.
Try the mjx 14301. It is coming next year.
Hey buddy thanks for the heads up. I did a google search and saw what you are talking about. I found a channel on YT and the guy is from Asia and has all kinds of new stuff I've never seen and he only has 225 subs. lol. I would think you could find them on Aliexpress fairly soon. Lots of cool stuff this SG1202 truggy like RC looks great. BTW I have the MJX 16207 and it's a blast. Highly recommend!
