I have no trouble with Hawks being number two. The vast majority of combatants wouldn’t be able to handle Hawks’s speed and precision. Not to mention he can control all of his feathers with pinpoint precision. Feathers that are strong enough to pierce flesh, lift people, and sense even the smallest vibration in the air. Also let’s not forget that he saved 76 people from a collapsing building all by himself in only a few seconds. To be able to be that precise, accurate, and fast to control all of those individual feathers, and people by extension, takes an extreme amount of skill. Most other heroes would struggle with a feat like that.
Barring the occasional power or fire type (which Hawks could still put up a good fight and win), Hawks’s is an extremely skilled hero. Comparing him to a High-End Nōmu is skewed since virtually everyone would struggle against that kind of threat.
Hawks is more of a rescue hero than a fighter

I disagree. He’s great at rescue, but he’s also great at fighting. Again, you’re only comparing him to extremely powerful threats like High-End Nōmu. That’s like saying Captain America is not a good fighter because he can’t solo Thanos. Or that Batman or Spider-Man aren’t good fighters because they don’t have wide-sweeping powerful and destructive attacks. Hawks’s feathers would be a dangerous opponent for most people. He essentially has an entire arsenal of weapons from blades to throwing knives at his disposal. They lack destructive power, but their piercing power, strength, speed and versatility are a force to be reckoned with.
Also remember that after Endeavor smashed up the top half of the building that was sliding off, Hawks caught all or most of the pieces so that the exploding shards of debris won't pummel everything in the vicinity. The amount of control he must have over his quirk is insane, considering that the debris were not really uniform in weight or shape (like Hawks complained to Endeavor).

Exactly. Hawks doesn’t have city busting level attacks, but it’s absurd to suggest that he can’t fight or be a good hero because he’s not a walking bomb.
I have never...EVER....rooted for Endeavor so hard. He needs the growth. He is sooo powerful but needs to find a way to be number 1 his way! I cried.....omg. my whole heart couldn't take it.

Welcome to the Dabi is a Todoroki theory! The first hint of it is when we first see him he’s standing in front of a salon watching the broadcast of Endeavor stoping Stain, hinting they he dyed his hair to the black it is now and that he has a connection to Endeavour! AND he has the exact shade of blue eyes that Endeavor and Shoto has! There sooooo many spot on hints and foreshadowing to him being a Todoroki that it’s all but confirmed in cannon. (Don’t worry y’all, I’m a manga reader, I know what’s up) Also absolutely loved the animation this episode, hyped up the fight and made up for flaming trash man being the focus.
Kinda irritates me that they made his son’s hair red in the anime. It’s white in the manga.

in the manga dabi is still a big mystery but there were many hints and by now it would be a bigger plot twist if dabi isnt touya todoroki lol

I honestly didn't cry UNTIL I saw Todoroki kneeling in relief. Like...that means a lot to me.
I agree that Endeavor needs to do not only hero stuff to prove he's changed but also talking to his kids and maybe his wife.
I'm looking forward to seeing more Hawks; I like his lax attitude but dedication to protecting people.

Austin Beale in the manga is a still detailed image of them so it’s pretty clear. In the anime it’s the fast paced animation , the effects from the flames and idk I saw them pretty good and I was reading when hawks said that I’ll boost you with my feathers so idk I didn’t have that problem

I love how MHA made me go from hating Endeavor to making me genuinely root for him. I love how they did it too, by giving the character what he always dreamt of having in a way he didn’t want it and he couldn’t reject it either. I personally do hope he can somewhat mend all the wounds he created in his family.
Also it was hilarious how you paused for like two minutes to process the other Todoroki child.

@@CharTurner6928 yeah I guess, the Todoroki family drama has been touched from time to time and it seems like it doesn't concern the main plot, but still is an important or at least noticable detail to remember. Well for a Todoroki fan like me it is, and since I fell into the "dabi is a Todoroki" conspiracy hole, I obviously remember that one kid in their family that still needs to be addressed (in the anime, that is, haha)...
Well, hair-dye exists in the My Hero Academia universe, if you remember, Kirishima went from black hair to red sooo Dabi could also dye his hair black FROM red ;)))

Yeah, but blue flame Endeavor was just an anime original thing. It’s why he doesn’t use it in this fight because the manga has never shown blue flame Endeavor.

Thats the reason he married this woman
Thats the reason he negleted his "failed" children
Thats the reason he was so hard on Shoto.
He wanted someone perfect, someone who could do what he could not. Surpass All Might, steal the number one spot from him by force. He did all of that because he knew All Might to be an immovable mountain, someone his lacking self had no chance against.
Thats also the reason he was angry back at Kamino, because he saw that All Might was nothing more than a sick, frail-looking, faltering man. That mountain was sudenly revealed nothing more than a shadow of a single rock, doing its best to hold up the whole sky from falling on top of men. That was the very first spark of doubt and reflection in Endeavors heart.
The Dabi is a todoroki theories are insane they go so deep. I would be more surprised if he isn’t related cause of all the hints towards it

That was All For One and his brother, the one who inherited "One For All" and passed it on to people. All For One is the guy you're seeing there, he's got so many quirks that he's managed to live this long. It's explained in Season 2, I think? When All Might told Midoriya that he's gotta become the next Symbol of Peace.

@Ryan Gibson Naw, All Might explained the origin of OFA to Deku after the Stain arc in season 2, he mentioned that OFA was made when AFO forced a power accumulation (stockpile) quirk on his physically weak younger brother, and the younger brother knew he couldn't defeat AFO at his current state on his own, and his younger brother had a useless quirk, which was the power to pass on quirks, and since the power stockpile quirk got mixed with it, that's how OFA was created. AFO's younger brother basically wants to pass this power on so that one day someone can truly defeat AFO. Meanwhile, AFO never died through the 9 generations of OFA users, so he's been around since the beginning of when quirks first showed up. The only person who has done the most damage to AFO so far is All Might, but Deku's the destined one to defeat him.
All for One has some sort of anti aging quirk, he’s still an old man at this point though so it might only slow aging a little

If all you saw from Hawks is him being fast then it's clear that your personal ranking is based on pure strength and power. Not capability. Hawks is good against power types because he doesn't have super strength. But he is fast, yes, fast enough to save literally everyone! Slight spoiler but because of Hawks, there was NO casualties. He can fight but against something like a regenerating nomu, he knew his limits.
In season 2 there is a flashback of Todoroki looking at his siblings playing and in that scene there are 2 brothers and one sister. Also Dabi being a Todoroki is one of those theories that u know its basically cannon at this point but Horikoshi hasn't stated it yet
Also if Dabi was a Todoroki, he could've been born with red hair but decided to dye it so he could change his appearance. And blue flames are much stronger than regular flames which could be a reason as to why Endeavor might've seen him as a failure.
@King J-dub Because Endeavor literally saud this episode that if he uses his quirk for too long he will overheat? Im guessing that because Dabi has stronger flames then he overheats very easily and gets burned. Thats why he created Shoto. So that he can have an offspring that balances both quirks.
@King J-dub Endeavor literally hated all his children tho? He just didn't abuse them as hard as Shoto because he was the one that had both of his and his mother's powers. Also he could've trained Dabi (could've because none of this is confirmed) but maybe he just kept getting burns from his quirk so Endeavor just gave up on him.

@King J-dub Cremation: Dabi's Quirk grants him the ability to generate large amounts of highly destructive blue flames from his body. However, Dabi's body has a low tolerance for his own flames and he will get burned if he uses them for prolonged periods of time
@King J-dub [SLIGHT SPOILERS(?)] he saw him as a failure because his body was weak to his own flames. Endeavor recognised touya's potential but because touya inherited rei's weakness to fire, endeavour considered him a failure.
Naahhh, the Todorokis cant be the only group of people that have fire type quirk. I mean, even Deku's dad has fire breath quirk.
I didn't put much stock in the Dabi is Toya theory back when the similar quirks was the only real piece of evidence, but the evidence has been mounting recently and at this point it would be way more surprising if he wasn't Toya.

Yeah hes been alive for centuries or something like that. Kinda confusing since apparently the Mother of Quirks is Destro's mom, and Destro is like an old man at this point if im not mistaken. So Mother cant be THAT old (like 120 at oldest). Which makes me wonder how AFO was operating before Quirks were seen a thing.

She called her son's power a "quirk" so thats where the term came from, and Destro's whole meta human liberation is to make a world where "peoples powers are truly just quirks".

I resonate so much with this whole Endeavor arc. My father was very emotionally abusive to my mother and physically/emotionally abusive to me. It got so bad that one time he chained me outside. He was a drunk Vietnam vet who took his frustrations out on me and my mom, but loved my younger brother because he was everything he wanted. My dad was a dick till the end, all the way up to his death of liver cancer during the summer before I started college. A lot of people say they would expose Endeavor, but honestly I couldn’t imagine letting lots of people know about my dad. It’s embarrassing and none of their business.(I don’t care now since it’s been 10 years and y’all don’t know me) And everyone I know who was actually abused feels the same way.
But mainly I bring this up because a lot of people hate that Endeavor has a redemption. Maybe it’s because it’s been 10 years, but I honestly think if my dad was truly sorry back then, I would make amends. I’d probably be hesitant, but at the end of the day I WANTED to believe he was a good person. No one wants to accept their father is a straight up bad person. And after all this time all I remember are the few good parts, like his ridiculous humor, the fun barbecues, and the hilariously awkward “talk” when I hit puberty. I know from the outside this shit seems unredeemable, but it’s more complicated than that when you are talking about your own family.
Frankly this is handled so well that I think Horikoshi has some first hand experience with this...
theirs a few reasons people think dabi is a todoroki. 1. endeavor said that his first son "died" but had more fire power than he does which makes sense since dabi has blue flames. 2. when we first see dabi hes outside a hair salon hinting he changed his hair color. 3. when dabi first sees shoto he knows his name even without anyone saying it and hes more focused on him than anyone else. theirs more to it but i dont wanna spoil anything for non readers. but it isn't confirmed yet highly speculation. that's being setup for a perfect moment for him to say something about it.

Has horikoshi confirmed touya's hair colour/coloured it? I just figured that touya's hair was red in the manga. The manga is usually in black and white after all. I guess I just assumed that he left it as white in the manga so as to make the touya is dabi thing less obvious (assuming that touya is dabi)
@@pandamonium23 the shading Horikoshi used in the manga is the same as every character who has white hair (or at least clear hair, but it's safe to assume that his hair would be white if he's a Todoroki). If he had red hair he would have a shade like Kirishima's or Shoto, so I think the anime just made it red (like many other color changes in other characters) and in the manga is white, that's it
@@carlaalmendros611 oh OK. Horikoshi shades the red hair in the Todoroki family quite dark (close to dabi's hair color) so I just thought maybe he wanted things to be less obvious. Thanks for the clarification.

Did you skip the first 2 seasons? Could've seen they mentioned that All for One gave his little brother a power stacking quirk cause he thought he didn't have an ability. Later it turns out the younger brother had the quirk to pass on quirks. It blended with the power stacking and created One For All.

All Might actually spoke about how One For All came about near the end of the second season. Basically, AFO and the original OFA user were brothers. The first OFA user was thought to be quirkless, so AFO forced a quirk onto him, which was the ability to stockpile power. However, the original OFA user DID have a quirk that no one knew about: the ability to pass on quirks to other people, which is useless on its own. The two quirks together officially created One For All.
YELECRAM3000 It’s the other way around. AFO gave his brother a quirk that can stockpile power thinking he was quirkless. But he had a useless quirk which allowed him to transfer quirk. The stockpiling quirk mixed with the quirk to transfer quirk, that’s how OFA came to be.

The hole rumor about dabi being endevors son is just a guess, especially the similarities that they have shown in the manga, and with the new chapter.
I think its still Endeavor's son. But I also think that Endeavor might've saved kid Hawks in the accident that made him lose Dabi.

This is the first time I'm having to wait for the next season and they drop that bombshell cliffy on us. Aaaaah! Loved this video so much, it was great seeing your reactions and thoughts on it. Also, yes the dabi theory, I'd heard it mentioned before but until this episode I never really took it seriously. It just seemed like because he had a fire quirk people were inclined to think they could be related. But now it seems suspicious. We've briefly seen the redheaded brother in Todoroki's backstory playing with the other siblings but we've never seen him in the current time. I didn't think much of it, but now we've met all the Todoroki kids except the redhead. Which makes me curious about that kid for sure. He's the one with fire powers going by his hair, and the brother in this ep spoke about what Endeavour did to their 'siblings' while they went ignored.
Also, yeah Dabi called Shouto by name when he caught Bakugou and Todoroki fell by him. I think he said 'So sad...Shouto Todoroki'. We know Dabi isn't his real name but he's never spoken about his past. He's the one who went and sent this High End Nomu after Endeavour. I dunno, it's starting to definitely seem more plausible that these are legitimate hints.
Everybody just forgot that in the last episode the nomu just said "whos the strongest?" i mean every video reaction that ive seen is the same

There is already a lot of proof in the anime. The anime itself gave more clues because we got to see he has the same eyes as Endeavor. They even gave a few close-ups on Dabi's eyes to give you a hint.

Yeah, even now, I still hate Endeavor’s guts pretty hard. That being said though, he totally, absolutely earned that win. He also totally earned that scar on his face, but we don’t have to get into that. 😅
This fight gave me a lof of emotions. The same feeling of dread from All Might VS AFO fight. The animation when Endeavour's flames went Plus Ultra against the High Nomu reminds a lot of when All Might used his United State of Smash back. Amazing parallels between those two. And then Endeavour rised his right side fist, while All Might rised his left fist.
Otherwise an amazing finale!
Yeah All Might punched with his right and raised his left in victory, while Endeavor punched with his left and raised his right in victory. Nice mirror parallel there.

@@Ren_Davis0531 And another parallel that I noticed that during this fight. Endeavour basically went beyond his own fire combustion and yelled Plus Ultra. And that remind me of All Might first fight with the Nomu back on Season 1. They both went above 100% of their potential and sent a Nomu on the air.
23:46 Well he's moving around his feathers fast enough to save A LOT of people in a building that's falling a part, meanwhile a rampaging monster is destroying everything. He's not the kind of hero like All Might and Endeavor where they have lots of power, but he'll probably save more people than not compared to Endeavor DURING an ongoing crisis, which is quite important as a hero. And with his speed he'll definitely be able to take down most villains out there, except the power type of course. But that said, without spoiling, you will see more of the things he pull off with his intellect and strategies in MUCH later seasons unfortunately!

I always remember when todoroki tried to save bakugo when he was a marble. Dabi grabbed it b4 him and he said "Poor little shoto todoroki " that instantly gave me the vibe of what an older brother would say to a spoiled lil brother. Almost like "poor thing, u ACTUALLY didnt get something u wanted". There was things b4 that once I seen that that I think was subtle signs but that's what made it official to me. He went from the guy most people hated to the guy that everyone started to respect. Even his family is slowly beginning to respect him after all the madness he has done and he is finally starting to forgive himself for all the unjust things he has done in his life. He is slowly moving forward and not just becoming a better hero, but a better person.
every time they showed shoto, i wanted to cryyyy but this episode made me go from hating endeavor for being such a bad father, to rooting for him and crying through his battle. also the end, i'm like bruuuhhhhhh

Not only are there tons of close calls, but each side the Heroes are dealt a critical loss, while the Villains always seem to end up a step ahead even though the heroes "saved the day".
I mean he kills this Nomu right, but that's just the thing, we know from the first season, they can always make more.

Endeavor once told shoto as a kid that toya (the son with the red hair) has flame abilities that surpass even his own and blue fire is hotter that the regular yellow and orange fire. Just a little background information
The 1st clue too set you up to believe Dabi is a Todoroki was his interaction with Shoto because in Japan you calling someone by there 1st name means you are really close to them like a family member or a really close friend. The english dub to hit that so you understand isn't normal for someone to call you by there 1st name they had to change a line a bit so Dabi ended up saying "Poor little Shoto".

Hawks is undoubtedly the MVP of this fight/episode
- he evacuated 76 people out of the building all at once and in an instant
- he fought the little white Nomus almost on his own while keeping civilians away from them
- he was the only one that always understood and believed in Endeavour, no matter what
- he gave Endeavour the speed boost he needed with his feathers while being low on them
- (this one goes unnoticed often) he notices from far away Endeavour forming an arrow up with his fire on his right shoulder, immediately understands and takes him up in the sky
Sure everything about Endeavour‘s start was great but without hawks this fight could’ve gone completely different, truly the best wingman
They were brothers. There is an episode that actually tells their story (All Might talks to Deku in his office and tells him about All for One). Also, laughed out loud for real when you said “gonna fight a bitch!”. Love the reactions.
The last scene also reminded me of when Tsuna saw the previous bosses in Hitman Reborn.
Remember that electric evil guy towards the season 1 so that means that there's people out there with the exact same powers as endeavour and other hero's
The ending credits make so much more sense now.
Endeavor beeing number 1 while "only" beeing 4th on the approval rating is kinda impressive. Shows that he is number 1 because of the work he puts in and not because he is popular. The approval rating seems pretty significant since Best Jeanist and Wild, Wild Pussycats did pretty good while unable to do any hero work for most of the time.

As shown in this scene, All for one is forcefully transferring quirks(One for all) to his brother, who had a useless quirk - to transfer his quirk (but he never had any) Until AFO passed some onto him.

For a tiny explanation on that after credit scene that was IN FACT all for one. In the first season of MHA all might told midoria about how all for one forced a quirk on his younger brother thats the scene we saw. The first weilder of one for all was trying to talk to deku.

Not sure if I am just a superfan or if no one's paying attention, but we got a full back story on AFO and OFA but a lot of people still seem confused about how it originated. If anyone forgot, All might explains in Season two before the sports festival or you could you look it up on youtube. I'm honestly so confused why it's still not engraved into people watching because of its the most important power.
I really liked what you said about Endeavor both this episode and the last one! I'm enjoying his character development because he and his family's story is some real life shit!
However, What I'm sort of on the fence about is the scene at the beginning of the ep. When Todoroki's mother said "I haven't seen him yet, I'm still afraid... and the doctor also said that's not a good idea" it's almost as if the they're implying/trying to indicate that she might eventually WANT to go back to him🤔. I'm all for Endeavor changing for his KIDS and even their mother forgiving him if she needs to... BUT going back to your abuser (even if he's changed and has apologised) 😕 yikes, I'm not liking that message at all.
ESPECIALLY since Manga/Anime creators loove to pushed this overly submissive/linient narrive for female characters. Anyways, that's separate from Endeavor's development though, which I'm all for 👏🏾👏🏾.
YO wat u talking about Hawnks he is pretty damn OP, my boy save 78 people (if i am not wrong) in a colapse building while falling and he doesn't even know where they are, he fight the ground nomus and them have time to support Endevour, my boy got the speed and the feathers can turn into blades like u see when he fighting the nomus, he is by far the most capable Hero in the show, know how to use his power to 100%, the only other character who did the same was Mirio

I remember Endeavor's flames turned blue for 2 seconds when he defeated one of the Nomus from Season 2.
Dabi dyes his black just like Kirishima dyes his hair red. The first time we saw Dabi, he was outside of a hair salon. Endeavor can also make blue flames.
This fight was so intense and emotional that I cried when they said wait for the next season!
Also Dabi can still have his natural hair color, but dyed it black.
