Thanks for sharing your story. I suffer from the same. Just hearing you talk about it makes me feel sick again. It's really a horrible thing for anyone to go through and frustrating that there is no cure. I love travelling and never suffered from MDDS before, but I've found that as I've gotten older, the symptoms get worse and last longer. Add anxiety to that and it's just a terrible mixture

Hi Chris, I experienced a sense of rocking while lying in bed last night and my research led me to your video. I admire your courage and wish you relief. Blessings to you and your family.

I am sorry to hear that many of you are still suffering. My MDDS has not gone completely away, but I do believe that I am in a sort of remission. I know the things that can trigger me and cause me to regress, so I try to avoid those things. There are just certain things that I cannot do, but I am nowhere close to where I was when I made this video, so I am so very grateful to God for that. I did seek treatment in New York, but I didn't really see an improvement with that. It just took time and lots of rest for me and my brain.

Thanks for sharing Chris, I'm quite embarrassed about having this since people don't understand how debilitating it is and exhausting. I am going to see Dr Dai the week of thanksgiving. I have three appnt soldiers Monday Wednesday and Friday. Has anybody received the treatment and felt better. I had it for three years seven years ago an then went into remission and recently went on a three hour plane flight and as soon as I got on land it started . I remember feeling horrible the first time but this time it feels so much worse like I'm rolling or tumbling and on the rockiest boat ever constant bobbing and swaying. I'm hoping this treatment will help and although expensive it is so worth it. This condition is extremely hard to deal with and I can't focus and I can't finish sentences. I am really frightened about it getting worse and not going away. Please let me know if your treatment worked. Thank you so much.

Hi, Arlene. I apologize for the delayed response. I did not have my account active so I wasn't aware that people were commenting! I hope you are better. The treatment for me in New York did not really help in my opinion. There seem to be no rhyme or reason to who it will help.

I have had this for 9 weeks. The spontaneous kind..nothing water related precipitated it. Just found the info on google yesterday and felt I could've written it. I'm also born again BUT struggling with hope. I saw several dr's with no news. One told me it was just anxiety. I knew it wasn't. I hope you'll post what went on in the trial study. I need help. I'm a retired teacher but absolutely need a job soon.

Any updates from anyone on here who commented or Chris? Four years for me after a 6 hour night flight. Mount Sinai and gyrostim in Asheville did not work for me unfortunately.

Hi Chris, I have had MdDS since returning from a 7 day cruise on Feb 7 2015. I have tried a number of treatments with some success. On my best days I am at 85%. I too looked into the New York Treatment and am most interested in hearing about your experience. the Optokineitic treatment was given to me by my chiropractor, after reading the NY study on day 12 of my MdDS. That took me to 70% improvement in about 1 week and was then stuck. I have since been trying passive neurofeedback, which seems to be helping. Please write more about your experience.

I'm 19 yrs old and I just found out that I have this syndrome, when I was 17 yrs old I believe I developed this syndrome after a boat ride that I went on and after that my whole life was hell, I was dizzy constantly wouldn't want to get out of bed, kept having server panic attacks, developed a fear of going out into public. My whole life feel apart and this lasted a year and a half just constant non STOP! I was in and out of hospitals and phycologists. They never knew what was wrong with me, the only answer I got was I have anxiety so they just gave me anti depression drugs to help my anxiety. I got really depressed and felt soo alone..... went into remission when I was 18 and a half and now I'm 19 and have it again after a long car ride....! Seriously I'm so glad to find this video and knowing I'm not alone even thou this was posted awhile ago idc as long as I know there is another human out there dealing with this bc it's sooo hard and sometimes I really can't take it! I need help.....:(

Ashley, I am so sorry. You are not alone and it does get better. For me, it comes and goes but never goes completely away. I am so much better than I used to be. Partly I think our brains just adjust to the new norm. I do find that taking better care of myself helps a lot. Make sure you get plenty of sleep. Please contact me anytime. Do you have a good support system where you live?

    • @ashleymartin4407

Chris Patterson thanks so much for replying ! My family is very supportive and try to help me the best They can but it's just hard for them to understand what I'm going through. I wish there was just something more I could do to help this problem we have instead of just taking anti depressants and hoping for the best bc it is a really hard syndrome to live daily life with I just can't imagine living with this my whole life, it seems it's never going to get better or go away. I want to go and travel the world and go to college but this syndrome holds me back on everything. I don't know how I'm going to be able to work and get a full time career like this.

I personally do not believe that antidepressants are the best just because it numbs your brain and doesn't allow it to heal. I have never used them but I know some swear by them. Keep me posted and contact me anytime. You can message me on FB.

Chris... I have MdDS and going to Mount Sinai the week of June 22nd, 2015 for treatment with Dr. Dai. I have been suffering with this for almost two years now. A half hour paddle boat ride on a lake triggered this disorder. How did the treatment work for you in NYC?

How are you? how was the testing in New York. Do you still have the disorder. I have read that you have to go back on the boat and sometimes you feel better and sometimes you don't. Saw it on another youtube video.

Fa Bi Hi there. Sorry to hear that you have been suffering with this. I am doing much better. I don’t know the trip to New York helped all that much. I think for me it has been lots of rest and self-care and also I feel as though my brain has adjusted and it’s partly just a way of life now.
