I only have on of these. I’ve always admired them. I had no clue that there were so many varieties. Yours are all awesome and I’ll be looking fir more varieties of them. Just lovely.
You have a love with Crassulas. And ou are right they are so beautiful succulents. With so big variety of plants. And when we hear Crassula our mind goes to ovata but there is so many species that are such a beauties.
On your brown stems do it in water. I have been a collector for 0ver 50 years. I started gardening in vegetables under the age of 10 with my father who was from Czechoslovakia. Then we moved from Pennsylvania to California. We started having a vegetable garden and when we moved to again we bought a house with many fruit trees and grape vines. Outdoor shrubbery roses and some indoor plants that we purchased and brought outside. So when I moved on my own ?I did the San Me once .i owned a home I bought plants but also did a great deal of indoor plants and then moved parts of them outdoors. I’m an experimenter at heart. So I’m always trying new things becausecI love learning. I moved out on my own I was 17 and started collecting house plants and then almost 40 yrs ago I found succulents and quickly became obsessed. So I have a good deal of cacti and succulents. I try to keep my beginning with a variety with one and then propagate and divide all my plants and push the boundaries. It’s now to the point that I am going to help my daughter start a business. Selling miniature plants from the fruits of my labor of enjoyment and of being a collector. There is only so much room. So e-card spreading the love.
Moi aussi j'ai du mal avec les crassulas. Trop d'eau, un petit coup, et les feuilles cassent d'un rien. Intéressant le passage sur les boutures de têtes. Il faut beaucoup de délicatesse et de patience pour avoir une telle collection.
You have such good luck with crassula. Like them because they have such an unusual grow habit. Hope all your cutting live. Have you ever watched channel Give It a Grow. Use search it will be there. He has several videos on propagating crassulas
Channel is. Give it a Grow. Has a pic of a mans face using vegies. He has some beautiful scenery videos and others on plants gardening etc. Also on Instagram.
Willa Johnson if it’s the same guy I’m thinking about his methods to rooting crassula is stunning. I don’t know if I can replicate the method because I’ve tried it and failed miserably but then again I know for fact it’s user error. But his method is amazing to see.
@@succulentlivingbymarija8872 probably same guy he had some failures too. He likes to experiment. Lives close to a beautiful lake. Made a video following his cat's adventures. Cat passed away, glad he made some videos.
Probably not lol I just fixed up my make shift greenhouse even though I’m 9b -10. I’ve got a fine mister and pump mister, if I do anything more than a mist the roots shrivel up, no misting the dry up. For being an ideal place for succulents even though I’m babying the snot out of these guys I’m losing an easy battle. Lol. I really need someone to address roots in propagation in a bad way. No one ever seems to address what happens when you dig roots under soil too soon or don’t put them in soil too late or whatever if my roots hit anywhere under soil they die. Lol I don’t get it.
Erin S. Ok when I give Update I may talk about it. With Crassulas roots are under soil so you really don’t have to move them for weeks. So your roots end up above soil? With propagated leaves of other succulents that happens.
All crassulas can grow outside when it’s not below freezing (preferably above 50) and has enough light and not constant rains. They have tick leaves so I keep them covered when outside like covered porch because we can have weeks if constant rain at times.
Can I ask your question? Recently got this Crassula Moonglow from a nursery but didn’t notice the bottom of the columns were all dried and dead. Looks like removed the heads of them and the new growth is split from that point upward. I removed all the dead leaves on the bottom part and now the top portions of flinging over. If I take all the “columns” off, will the stems alone sprout more babies? Any other suggestions?
Typically if the stem is healthy it will grow new branches. If all leaves are gone and doesn’t look healthy than probably will not. Hope this answer helps!
Thank you so much for quick response. I think I will remove most columns and see if new branches grow. It looks healthy but maybe just dried up due to old age? The tops looked great when I originally purchased them at the nursery. I love your videos and makes me want to buy more Crassulas! This is my first so I hope I do OK! 😬
Liz Boykewish I buy food for succulents in Home Depot but I also make my own by placing herbs, teabags to soak in rain water for a few days and water with it.
Liz Boykewish that’s is frustrating! I remember when I started I have lost many of them. It is especially challenging if you don’t have a lot of light because they need a lot. Hang in there, I’m sure you will figure out what they need. I still have some that I’m figuring out like lithops 😊

היי, כמה זמן נתת לקרסולה להתייבש לפני ששתלת אותם? ואחרי כמה זמן התחלת להשקות אותם.
I can’t get any of my Crassus to root and currently I still can’t get my baby’s necklace to root. I’m baffled watching this.

Hi, after dipping them in the hormone booster did you water them?
mymiracle79 no, I left them dry for a few days almost a week then started watering lightly twice a week.
