Jeff Hughell is such a good bass player, because genre doesn't really matter to him. he does the funky stuff as good as his tech death bass lines. that was really enjoyable!
I met Jeff when he played upstate with Rings of Saturn. Dude is amazing and kind. He gave me his CD when I told him I was broke and I definitely appreciated it. Thank you!
I think you have to be single for a considerable amount of time to reach that skill level. That being said, I take advantage of the "inbetween relationships time" to improve skills before going to the grocery store for essentials, and then walking out with another phone number & almost nothing I went in there for.
And the funny thing is you can get one custom build to your looking by a god luthiers around the world. People don't understand why Warwick's are so over priced, they have huge overhead, staff, brick and mortar buildings and lastly BRANDing. You can get a better bass for a fraction of the price. I'm getting a 7 string fretless bass F#BEADGC made for $3800 USD. Don't get caught up in the hype. They have celebs behind their name so they can charge you an arm and a leg.
21 век , метал музыка рвёт все шаблоны 😳😳 Совмещая в себе дюжину направлений и мелодичность , и всё это приправлено щепоткой тем самым тяжелым метальным звуком который мы так любим 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
My Darkglass Alpha/Omega is so badass my bro had to get one himself. Didn't matter that we have a Kemper with all the best Darkglass profiles...he still had to get his own Alpha/Omega.
Great playing: love it Filming at a brewery: both the coolest thing ever but also grounds for the “cheapest” looking metal video ever. Lol “The budget was spent on basses and beer sorry!”
Forgive my ignorance when i say that these 2 amazing bass plsyer's are more predominantly known for heavy metal & all the different styles & sounds that have come out of that specific genre of music... Its not about what style your prepared to play all the the time but creating a path of being open to trying out new ideas & ways of playing on the bass guitar... Maybe it was just how my journey & path went as i never ever once said i wouldnt try to play all the many rich flavours & genres that an electric bass guitar can play as long as your open to bringing such styles into your playing area & if you dont then in my honest opinion you are denying your own ability to grow as a fully fleshed out musician on that particular instrument... In light of this still ongoing coronavirus stay safe and healthy wherever you are in this world... .....
I had to read this three times over before I got what you mean. I've been thinking of this a lot lately and completely agree. The things that make a really good bassist truly great, is their willingness to explore and learn from different styles and genres. Because each one offers its own sound and techniques to learn and master, and when you're well-versed enough you can draw on what you need to express yourself the way you intended.
Bass duos remind me of gay couples where you're like which one is the dude. In this case I think it's the dingwall guy since he plays more of a bass role.
The millennial trifecta: craft beer, beards, and the Dingglass sound.
Spoken as a person who hits the trifecta.
well, it could have been in Portland in a craft brewery lol that would have made it supra-llennial lol
and man buns

The clean part is the best. It sounds like it has a wider frequency bandwidth, it doesn't sound thin, the way the distorted sounds do.

Yeah, love this guy! We had a few beers years back. Good guy, good beard.
If these guys start a band like the omnific that would be fantastic.
they just need a drummer.
i know im never going to get to their skill level, but at least i can play smoke on the water
Dammm right!
Just wait…. Just wait till you can own “Iron Man”…. It’s a game changer!
Doesn’t matter bro as long as you enjoy it
Come learn with us at Scott bass school...and see what's happening here

Ive bewn using the Alpha/Omega ultra for years, but just got the Microtubes X7 and ITS INCREDIBLE!
these guys teaming up with Polyphia would be one big math equation. and we're here for it
I'm normally not very into the Dark glass sound, but this is awesome!
I'm sorry if I'm being ignorant or something but I really don't know what song they play from 0:23, sounds soooo familiar but I can't really make it.
bellissimi i suoni bravi ragazzi
These guys are shredding! They should form a band: Basses of Doom
That 7-string Warwick is probably worth more than my car.
Dude’s beard is worth more than my car.

So this is definitely the coolest bass video I’ve seen in a long time. I feel bad that I have no clue who these two dudes are

Takes me back to the days where Jeff was in Brain Drill XD
I knew that tapping style sounded familiar!
💜Впечатляет, очень впечатляет!🎸

Мужики херачат - будь здоров! Молодцы!!!
Another world
Respect!
Lots of barrels, lots of kegs and definitely lots of bass.
Amazing.
Já vi banda com 2 guitarras, agora com 2 baixos é a primeira vez kkkk
Cheers!
Ghost Town 👀👀👀👀
Let's get back to BASS!
Watching the expensive gear these guys are shredding on is giving me a heartache 😿........... But awesome skills doing all the techniques 🤘🤘
is this the guy from six feet under? or just a hardcore fan?
It’s him
this is the real bass metal track
Dingwall 🤘🥳
This is like Animals as Leaders from the parallel universe.
...... Siempre es un buen momento para unas chelitas...... ✌🏽😎✨
It's original but not my thing . These guys are amazing very talented they've worked hard on this track I wish them lots of success.
killin in the name of..lol
1) Solve ax^{2}+bx+c=0} where x= unknown, using quadratic formula or 2) Transpose the 2 basslines in bass & treble cleff compositions????
🤘🤘🤘❤
Awesome! Now where’s the tab? Lol
COOL
Great playing: love it
Filming at a brewery: both the coolest thing ever but also grounds for the “cheapest” looking metal video ever. Lol
“The budget was spent on basses and beer sorry!”
Wow, look how far his fingers are spacing when he orders his beer! 2:13
I wondering how to mastering it
Mmmm 👍.. Na ja.. Bier 🍻 und besser.. 🎸
Bass that sounds like guitars? I want that tone
Ah yes playing next to those barrels gave a really woody tone
Being the guy with things like a 7 string Warwick, I truly hope that dude can make a dollar or five with music…
Look him up. He’s killin it
It's like Primus meets Dream Theater

THIS IS WAR
Az a szakáll...😂😂🤣🤣🤣😂
ух бравые мужики)
бомба
Surprised nobody is mentioning that he's playing a 7 string Warwick
Do You Slappa De Bass...?
I really thought the Amish weren't allowed to play this kind of hellish music called metal. I guess I was wrong...

i thought this was a programed drum machine ads. sory my bad
I love bass and I love Darkglass but this wasn't my style. Great technique tough
A bassist johnny sins
Dingdong guitars
anyone who thinks that darkglass is essential should go play guitar hero
Bass duos remind me of gay couples where you're like which one is the dude. In this case I think it's the dingwall guy since he plays more of a bass role.
Grow up
Гитарки б погромче, барабаны потише.... Часть звуков вообще теряется (
Try using headphones or a half decent stereo - for starters there are no guitars…
I'm sorry but I'm just not a fucking fan of the dark glass sound
Metal. :(
mix is way off yo... all i hear is tinky drums.
bass is nice still :)
Amazing skills but cheesy video...
I hate fuzz/distortion bass sound .. is beautiful at 1:26 when they turn off the annoying fuzz/ distortion sounds
You hate fuzz and distortion? Then don't use it. Sorted.
Tooodos los “metaleros” hacen lo mismo. 😏 No tienen iniciativa ni imaginación.
No one asked plus you're spanish
Emotionless, sterile music, served by a dry over processed sound that kills the instruments dynamics. What’s not to like ?
Its not generic funk or boomer rock played with a P bass and a boring tone. Good enough for me.
I don’t like the pads 👎
Really good guys, but those bass lines are not metal, sorry.
Hearing problem?
Sounds terrible
get a bass and a bunch of gear worth shitloads of money to end up sounding like a guitar...
and i'm not saying it's Bad
Christ, what a dumb thought to share
