Hey Captain, Eglin AFB closed the parking lot at the base of the Destin bridge, due to the commercial activity... but, they have fireworks every Thursday night at 9pm at the Harbor Walk.
Great video. My son is in the USAF and has a house in FWB - I'm still waiting for my mother-in-law suite...lol. Coming from the Charleston beaches, they are so much brighter (sand and water).
Jack I was amused at your title for video, Top Secret Beaches. The beaches you listed are far from Top Secret. But Henderson Beach is a great place. But your right the stretch from end of Navarre beach to Portifino is awesome and probably most secluded. Opal beach is great if you are looking for a place to picnic and grill with some great large covered picnic pavilions.
We used to dive on this wreck off Navarre. After a storm, there would be a ton of broken up jellyfish tentacles at the back of the break zone. There'd be about 2' gap at the bottom. You could see them hanging there shimmering in the water. We would slather up in Hawaiian Tropic oil on the beach, and swim under the "electric curtain" to get BTB and on to the wreck.
I still prefer Hallandale Beach Florida and Hollywood Beach Florida, Miami Beach, Fort Lauderdale Beach, these the best beaches in Florida lifestyle wise ❤.☀️
Destin is the worst place ever! Fort Walton has too many apartments on the beach. Okaloosa Island pier is too short! Navarre has stingrays and sharks! Stay away! Jack has no authoritative statement. Pensacola Beach is the best place in the panhandle to stay! Just go to Pensacola, trust me!😏

Good grief I miss those beaches! Destin was some of the best snorkeling ever at East Pass back in the day.

Had to go from Pace to Bluewater Bay this morning. That's the closest I want to be to Destin this time of year.
