- This is the most common diesel engine used in Indian cars. It is a 1.3L engine made by Fiat. It is been used in many Suzuki and Tata cars. Even Chevrolet models use it. Very reliable, affordable and durable engine, It won the International Engine of the Year award in 2005.

Check fuel pressure, injectors spray pattern and also check thermostat and temperature sensor , mass air flow sensor
Sure your car having engine problem,if your in Chennai bring car to skilled mechanic thirumullaivail,check this name in UA-cam,I have same engine with vista 2012,its given 20 plus mileage,before two years it was in non ac 25 plus given.

Many reason for success of 1.3L engine is mainly because of Fiat and Maruti can't produce their own in house diesel engine.Though they tried with 1.5L they shelved it.

Hi bro !!! Recently I’ve started looking into your videos !!! Your explanation is quite simple and amazing !!! I have baleno petrol car 2017 model . Pls explain about this model petrol engine . One more doubt . Maruti is trying to improvise fuel efficiency by reducing weight of car . Due to that safety is very minimal in Maruti cars . But Tata is improvising fuel efficiency without weight reduction and making car body stronger and giving good safety . How is it possible ???
The reason is Maruti uses 4 cylinder and tata uses 3 cylinder engine. 4 cylinder consumes more and 3 cylinder consumes less fuel. Hope you got the point.
Is it possible to interchange parts between different brands? Since 1.3 MJTi being used in maruti, tata, chevrolet brands.

Fiat does sustain in terms of byild quality and also after sales. But you might be disappointed when you sell your car a few years later. If that ain't a problem, go for FIAT.
