Congratulations on your retirement, thank you for your service to your community. I enjoy all of your videos and look forward to seeing more of your content.
Ay up Si. Tell your Station Commander you don't want a clock when you retire but a pole to save you breaking your neck on them stairs when the tread wears off on your slippers! I'm sure you'll be one happy retiree come time. You'll be ticking off the days on your CALENDAR I'm sure. I don't know if you got the reply email re: Hobby pics. Perhaps you'll find time to sort out Kestrel ones instead later on. Studio deserves a designated biccy tin full of superior dunkin' biscuits. Love that chair, just right for power snoozes! Thanks for your service mate, take care!
Thanks Richard, yeh those stairs are lethal. Theres a definite NO SOCKS rule 🤣🤣 I'll get the Kestrel pics to you mate, theyre on a hard drive that I've lost the power lead to !!🙄👊🏼
Well done on all those years service Simon, you must have seen some disturbing sights but helped lots of people in awful predicaments so THANK YOU! I’ve been viewing your videos for quite a few years now and I’m looking forward very much indeed to seeing you back with the paint brushes and, hopefully, some stick making? Still remember that roe buck head you did on that stick handle, very skillfull stuff. Good luck with it all and more power to your elbow Simon.
Yeh, its the best job in the world but can be the worst sometimes🙄 Lots of new projects in the pipeline and definitely more to come with the art and stickmaking. Stay tuned 👊🏼
How interesting to see your studio setup and wonderful views when you need a break. I bought a similar standing desk a year ago and love it. Embrace retirement, Simon, and continue your wonderful adventure.
Hi it's Otis I want to say thank you for putting my picture In your studio I am really honoured. I wish you and your family all the best in your new home, keep up with the great videos all the best from your favourite fan otis
Congratulations on your retirement Simon & the studio looks great 👍 I've got the largest spare room as mine with the computer & wall unit & cupboard to keep the camera gear in
Congratulations on your retirement sir love your setup and thank you for your service to the community I retire myself next year after 49 years of graft well done again mate and carry on the good work best wishes Laurence 🎉🎉🎉
Great content Simon. We enjoy watching your videos. The best squirrel proof feeder we have found is made by Roamwild a bit pricey ( but anything any good is these days! )It does the job and lasts years check it out. All the best for your retirement 👍
Hi Simon, congratulations on your retirement Mate 👍🏽 The studio is outstanding, table is amazing and the chair, iMacs are the best aren't they 😎 your home is stunning and the grounds are beautiful and tranquil, just awesome 😎 See you on the next one 📸
Hey Simon, I have been to set up and organize my workshop and it sure can be a bugger. When you have multiple interests and minimum amount of space, it's easy to pile .... piles! You sure are getting ready for retirement and enjoying your new property. It's time-consuming, but things are looking great! Greg
Good luck on your retirement Simon. I hadn’t realised you are/were in the Fire Service. 26 years! …. that is an amazing service to your local community in Lancashire. I am guessing you are not wondering what to do next since you probably have a lengthy and never-ending “to do” list for your new home and wildlife reserve in Wales 🙂 Lovely studio set-up .... other than the dodgy view from the velux 😀 What an innovation a standing desk is! Keep the videos coming 🙂 Richard
Haha, yeh its been a great career Richard, no two days the same!! Yeh, like you say no shortage of stuff here to keep me busy!! Thanks for watching 👍🏼👀👀
An exceptional intro to where you're heading, so thanks. The mesh chair looks like a "Command and Control" centre for all the kit one might need at a moment's notice, and I thought I had a few bits of kit - I am not worthy! - Keep your work coming, let us know how to support your plan. A.
Another great video Simon and congratulations on your retirement. It will be strange to start with and you will miss your work colleagues ( I had to leave because of health reasons way before retirement age ) but you have a lot of things to keep you occupied , and if means more of your videos then it definitely a plus for all your Subscribers. Take care Mate and enjoy. Graham
Great set up Simon, I like many others have said in the past, after I retired about 3 years ago, I wouldn't have time to work much now :) too busy enjoying retirement :) ....Looks like you have a lovely place now to enjoy life! ;)
That's a great set-up Simon. I retired in December after almost 30 years at Lotus and Steve from Bentley is absolutely right, it's the people I miss the most and we have a regular get together every few weeks to catch up and carry on the banter. To be honest I'm still getting used to it but it is really good to have the time to do all the things I used to have to cram into weekends and breaks. I'm sure you won't be bored with everything you have going on there and I'm looking forward to more regular updates from the homestead. Enjoy your last few shifts. 👍
Thanks Phil, the get together is a great idea. Its good to keep in touch with folk. Like you say no shortage of jobs to keep us busy!! Thanks for watching👀👍🏼
Great to have a plan, I keep my diary on my phone and fill it up with all my activities, as people think as you are retired that means nothing to do. So they organise things. I was 32 years at Bentley Motors the biggest thing is missing the people so we have a non negotiable coffee morning each week which is sacred. Enjoy the rest, just remember you’re in charge of your! Time now so enjoy.
Nice workspace setup and yeah, what a view from that window! Congratulations on the upcoming retirement too :) I've got a Flexispot desk setup still in bits here, and a big slab of pine in the shed to make a nice top for it, but I didn't quite manage to get it all sorted before our wee boy arrived a couple of weeks ago so now that's probably not getting finished until sometime in the Autumn!
Nice to see your set-up. I had a very small cupboard where I had to use as my "man cave". After my youngest daughter left home, I claimed her bedroom as my new man cave. I finally had a place to call my home.:-) Best wishes on your impending retirement. Time to call your own. Best wishes from Al.
Hi Simon, I use these feeders, "Jacobi Jayne Squirrel Buster Or Brome Squirrel Buster “ They work great as long as the squirrel can’t stretch over from a branch, I have four mini seed feeders in my garden, the downside is they only have four feeding ports, but the squirrels haven’t been able to get any seed from them yet 🤞I’ve been using them for around 5 years
Congratulations on your retirement, Simon. It is the best shift of all!😊 Your set-up has put me to shame so I’m just about to tidy up and clean my computer room 😅. Top tip: I have just recently changed my iMac for a new M3 model but kept my 2017 Mac as a second display. I find it really useful sometimes to have two screens open and with a Luna Display dongle it couldn’t be easier. It also saves ditching the old screen as it’s perfectly serviceable 👍🏻
Cheers Steve, yeh good shout keeping the old mac. Its my 2019 Macbook pro that needs replacing unfortunately. It wont process 4K vids which is a pity due to lack of memory and you cant expand them. I think once you've had a mac it'd be a wrench to go back to a PC.
Good luck with additional vids and hope you get to 20k by crimbo, enjoy your last month on the machines, Lancs gonna miss a good firefighter congrats and all the best.
I have roamwild feeders check them out based in Chelmsford Essex we have squirrels or as my better half calls them is nutty shes got a little house for the squirrels keeps them busy all my feeders are suspended using roamwild pest off stand it has an upturned cone on the support tube to keep them little mission impossible off the feeders
OH, retirement mate! Just asked for my figures😁😁 So could be joining you soon! And incidentally like you we are looking for a place in Scotland so could also end up in Wales 😂😂 Nice studio mate 👍👍
Haha, yeh you could end up anywhere Scott!!! Wales has been a real eye opener. Hopefully your figures are favourable and you can bail out soon 🤞🏼 How you enjoying the move over to Nikon? Thanks for watching mate 👀👊🏼
Congratulations on your retirement, thank you for your service to your community. I enjoy all of your videos and look forward to seeing more of your content.
Thanks John, its been the best job in the world!! Wouldnt change a thing 👌🏼

Hi. you'll be ok in retirement Simon. Like I said you're in your element. 😉
I reckon I'll be alright too Gary !!👍🏼😀🎉
Carpenter I’ve lost count how many of those staircases have pulled out and changed it to traditional kite and winders wooden staircase. 😪😪😪
