Thanks for making this video. Not many "honest" female GunTubers out there, that I've found. My girlfriend has been wanting a CCW and it really helps to show her a video from another female and that guns aren't just for men. Girls shoot too. BTW, your woman did a great job on this vid. Be sure to give her a nice massage or something. lol
My wife didn't like guns when we met. She has had her ccw and own toy for years now. My daughter also shoots and is Very pro2A. Look up warriorpoet's channel his wife does a talk about carrying.
So glad to get to see more of Mrs. Honnest Outlaw on the other side of the camera. She's always done great with her commentary and cameos, so it was fun to get to see her be the star of the show for once. She did better as the "host" than Mr. did as the camera operator (and it was nice/humble for him to admit as much) Her ultra genuineness / honestly makes her unavoidably likeable and the banter& chemistry and respect between them and way that they both come at this topic from different perspective all make this more engaging. Maybe this channel should be names Mr&Mrs Honnest Outlaws. Or just "the Outlaws"
I clicked this video hoping for some thought material on picking my own first carry gun, but halfway through what’s really standing out to me is how well you two get along, and the little bits of banter! It’s making me smile, and I hope you two have a very long and happy relationship
Josue, yeah, I wonder as well. My first and only gun is the TP9 SC Elite with iron sites, but I kinda regret not buying the red dot model at the time. But no big regrets, as quite a few experts recommended I start with iron sites as a newbee, then add on red dot after gaining more shooting experience and skills.
@@DPB1947 i was actually going to tell you the same as far as starting with the iron sights. That’s how I started but I’m having difficulty adjusting(still a noob) hehe.
My wife just went through this same process. We went to multiple ranges so she could try out all of her options. She ended up picking the Canik TP9 Elite SC. She bought one for $380 on Black Friday and I bought her an RMSC to throw on it for Christmas. She’s a happy camper!
It's just unbelievable how good the Canik's are for the price. Have thousands of rounds on my SC, carry it every day, and I'm not even considering anything else.
The Mrs. and I loved this video and loved seeing her perspective on carry weapons. We would absolutely love to see more of a women's perspective on some of the guns you review.
Another great video. Mrs Outlaw's participation is certainly NOT a gimmick...she gives a perspective that is different from a very experienced shooter. All good information! Thanks again.
Agreed. I have been watching his content for a long time now, but the banter between those two has really made the channel into what it is today. HO makes great videos with how hard he runs the firearms he shoots. But MO is always there so say something funny or bust his balls. It's a fun channel overall and my favorite for gun reviews.
Was wondering when you would make this video. She's drastically improved her skills!! Can't wait to see what she's got in the bag!!! She's the greatest!!!
Love watching and listening to your better half and your show chris.ithink she did great job and she mentioned the easy slide she was looking for, My daughter's big problem.thank you
I don’t know how much I learned about guns, but I certainly got some great pointers on how to treat one’s spouse. You two are hilarious and I found myself entertained by the interaction even more than the gun stuff. Now…I just need to get my wife unafraid of things that go bang.
OUTSTANDING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm constantly telling people, men and women, to get out and shoot as many different guns as possible before laying the money down. I really like that you are comparing these side by side and talking in terms that matter to YOU. This really is an important point to make that choosing a gun comes down to what works for you and not what some reviewer thinks. One point about sights though, is that all of these guns can have their iron sights replaced with various types, dots and colors. Also nearly all of them can be fitted with a red dot. I don't know if it's out yet, but I know that the S&W Shield Plus is going to soon have a Performance Center model that you can get with a factory installed RDS. They've had this with the Shield 2.0 for years now and that is what I carry. I also recently added a rail to my Shield from Recover Tactical and a WML from O Light. Seriously cool!
Kudos to Mrs. Outlaw! This video is a fantastic tool to help our better halves get into the sport and to carry a gun every day. The contestants were pretty close in specs and are some of my favorites! Chris, stop fiddling with the camera... 🤣🤣🤣 Great job, guys!
Very nice idea.. you should do this more often.. getting the not-such-an-expert input, because not everyone is. Surprised that the Sig 365XL wasn't in the Mrs.Outlaw line-up. This was cute, interesting and fun :) Greetings from Austria 🇦🇹
Great Video for the women and guys buying for them, elderly, small framed folks, etc . Outlaws Wife is awesome! She has been so shy thru the years but it doesn't show. She did great! I want to see Mako Vs Canik with Red dots on each! Congrats!
Mrs. Outlaw is very well spoken on camera! Great job on this video!! Great to get to see how these smaller guns shoot for a smaller statured, but experienced shooter.
Thanks Mrs. Outlaw! My wife found this video incredibly informative. Everything that you were looking for in a gun is what she is looking for in a gun, and there are not many people sharing these types of reviews. Also, she loves your nails!
I sent this link to my wife to review - she just shot her first handgun a few weeks ago and really likes it (esp with a RDS).. thanks for a great video Mrs HonestOutlaw!!
Love this video, love how genuine you two are together. Y'all make a great couple, one of the only Pewtubers my wife actually watches with me. Need to do a giveaway to have a hangout shooting day with you guys haha.
Awesome job, Mrs. Outlaw... love the energy y'all have and I really appreciate the way Chris "assists" you with gentle corrections and a more experienced opinion but it never comes across as condescending - just supportive. Nice! Plus your shooting has really improved! Great job!
I’ve been going through the process with my wife. We’ve finally narrowed it down to the S&W EZ and this weekend she will choose either the 380 ACP or 9 mm. Mind you, she is a new shooter and this will be her first gun. Side note, I was in hopes she would go for the M&P Shield Plus Performance Center 13 round Mag with the ported 4” barrel but she was more comfortable with the EZ fit and operation.
We did the same thing. My wife chose the .380 EZ. Its a little more compact, but weighs a good bit less, when loaded and carrying and extra mag(s). I liked it so much I bought 1 also...(for wearing shorts) Then got the 9mm EZ! Which I tote daily now too. I also recommend getting an O-Light Baldr Mini, adjustable light & laser. It fits (either gun) like a glove! And adding the Hi-Viz H3 day/night sights!
@@chrissewell1608 I have the Olight Valkyrie min PL2 for my Beretta Apx compact and it swaps nicely. She works from home and in the hot summer of Southern Arizona I carry your gun in appendix with shorts and T-shirts and I conceal it easliy
Yea it’s important to let them pick what they actually feel comfortable with. Even if it would not be our choice. Something is always better then nothing.
Love seeing two together. Canik is my 1st choice. His playfulness is delightful 😊. My Tp9 elite sc came with the Shield red dot. Looking forward to seeing that video.
LOVED this video as a man who once worked at gun show selling to first time buyers both male and female... this video is right up the new buyers educated and understanding level...
She hits enough targets that *I* sure won't be standing in front of her. What a fun vid! Thank you both for doing this. My wife will be watching this later this evening. Def agree with the try-it-before-you-buy-it option. My favorite shooting locations has rentals. They make you buy their ammo, but they don't gouge me on it, so I understand the sentiment. This is a very important decision. Pick something that you'll carry and you'll be accurate with!
Awesome video, love the Mrs! I've been pulling clips when she's in your other stuff and sending them to my wife who is of similar stature and she has really enjoyed them. I think she might have actually subscribed to her channel as well. Good stuff! I especially liked her performance with the Canik.
I really appreciate your video Ms. Outlaw!! As a male I appreciate the information you shared... and this new gained knowledge is gonna help me choose a new concealed carry firearm... not for my wife... but for me!! I BIG Thank You to the both of you!!

I realize that this is now an older video but I have been checking out your channel and I gotta say you guys are the best. I made the mistake of putting my snappy .40 cal XD in my wife’s hand at the range and it made her not want to shoot. This type of content helps show that you need to pick what’s best for the shooter, and with so many great 9mm carry options on the market now it comes down to checking them out and picking what works for you. Thank you both for being awesome… now if you’ll excuse me I have some recycling to do.
I used a Canik METE SFT with a Holosun 507k when I went to Front Sight for the 4 day handgun course. I fell in love with it! Now I want a TP9 Elite SC for my carry gun. After training 4 days with the optic it's the way to go IMO.

And, as much as I love her crazy hats and glasses, it was great to just straight up see her face. Most of the guns on the list were well known to me, mostly from your channel. 😃 But the Kimber was not on my radar. I’ve never owned a Kimber, but I’ve long been interested in their pistols and rifles. Gonna check out that R7 Mako. 👍

@@jrstoelting what's the name of her channel. She's one if my favorite personalities on UA-cam. Honest to a fault, but you know except where she stands and why!!! Love it!!!
It IS fun to see Mrs. Outlaw. Both of you are pretty articulate, and it's fun watching her sort thru guns and describe what she likes about each. Thank you!
Love that she did this! Good for you! I wonder since she was already considering the canik sc she didn’t consider the 43x which is the same size or smaller (although I think they canik is an excellent value flex pistol). I know you carried the 43x for a while if I remember correctly. Great shooting Mrs. Outlaw! You look like a pro out there!
These two are wonderful together. When a married couple still flirt after years and kids.... ya gotta know that they are dedicated to each other. Loved this video my GF isn’t into firearms, and I just can’t get her to join me at the range. But if she ever wants to go I’ll have her watch this video, and a few others.
Great video! It was very informative and gave me a much needed look into a woman's mindset for choosing an EDC. Definitely brought up a couple points that I hadn't thought of. Thank you and Mrs. Outlaw for all the work that goes into these videos! 🤘
I appreciate the video, Mrs Outlaw. We are currently weighing options for my wife's official carry gun. It is currently my old Hellcat. But that is a hand-me-down and she is interested in seeing what else is out there. She is small in stature and she has them little sausage fingers (not saying you do, just saying she does). So grip dimensions, as well as grip to trigger distance, are super important factors for her to consider. And she has had bilateral carpal tunnel surgeries. So slide weight is also a huge consideration. So thank you for providing your input and experience. We will definitely use it. And DO MORE VIDEOS!!!
Try a S&W .380 EZ or 9mm EZ. They have a full size grip, but are light weight. Great sights, which can be upgraded too. Plus most of the bells and whistles we want.
Nicely done....many good and important items covered. Will be interesting how the Canik with the red dot stacks up against the Kimber. Thanks Mrs. Outlaw and Mr. Outlaw cameraman....
Thank you so much for all the videos!! Your reviews really influence a lot of my firearm purchases. You two are obviously top tier shooters with every firearm and camera you get your hands on. Just curious, why isn't the SIG 365 series in this group? love everything you do, cheers!
Thanks for putting yourself in front of the camera, you did great!! I really appreciated your video on a woman’s perspective of what makes a good CCW for a woman. This is a topic that’s not discussed often enough. 👍👍
Awesome video, it was fun hearing the decision making process, as straight-up honest as possible. Hopefully it helps others to take the time to try various options, and to make informed decisions. Thanks for doing this!
Great video! Mrs. Outlaw is a gem, great screen presence! We want to see more of Mrs. Outlaw. I own 3 of these handguns: H&K VP9SK, M&P Shield, both of which I've owned for a couple years. I just bought the Kimber Mako, still getting used to it. At the moment, the H&K is my current favorite, but the Mako is growing on me every time I shoot it, I love the co-witness red dot (I bought the OR, and installed the CTS-1550 myself). Again, great job on this video.
You guys are awesome together. Mrs. Outlaw has been shooting every week. I noticed the ReFlex was not in the options. Love the Kimber Mako, H&K VP9 Sk. Mrs. Outlaws was ringing the bell. Thank you guys for sharing such an outstanding video,

I can not believe this video hasn't been made yet!!! Great job to Mrs Outlaw.
She should start a channel herself!!!
She needs to get someone with skills behind the camera
She has a channel, but it is not gun related.
It’s a good channel
ua-cam.com/video/EPjeav5fIYM/v-deo.html
@@jrstoelting what's the name of her channel. She's one if my favorite personalities on UA-cam. Honest to a fault, but you know except where she stands and why!!! Love it!!!
Great video. My daughter is looking for a CCW pistol, and this is helpful. Thank you. Nice to see the wife review. She gives a great perspective.
Mrs. Outlaw is hilarious. 😂 Great episode! 💪🏾
Hi, Mrs. Outlaw! Thanks for your review! As you and Mr. Outlaw were talking, I figured out what a double stack is! Thanks SO MUCH!
Mrs Outlaw for the win! Great job. Exactly how a carry gun should be chosen.
Mrs.Outlaw is Awesome & Insightful!! Thanks Guys.
Those HK vp9sk are sweet pistols but it is hard to pass on the Shield Plus, so compact, such shooter, great trigger.
It IS fun to see Mrs. Outlaw. Both of you are pretty articulate, and it's fun watching her sort thru guns and describe what she likes about each. Thank you!
The longer this video last, the more I enjoyed it ... Great job to the Mrs!!!
Helpful perspective, thanks!
Mrs. Outlaw is very likable, and you both have a sweet way with each other.
A darling performance by Mrs HO! Really liked her video and will suggest it for my Mrs. as well!
Thanks Mrs. HO!
Great video! It was very informative and gave me a much needed look into a woman's mindset for choosing an EDC. Definitely brought up a couple points that I hadn't thought of. Thank you and Mrs. Outlaw for all the work that goes into these videos! 🤘
If she liked the Canik she would love the Walther PPQ compact. Since Canik is a copy of Walther. Mrs here loves the Sig P365.
Nice vid.
She really does a good job describing her thoughts and conclusions.
Mrs Outlaw, thank you for your perspective! Keep it up!!!
Mrs.Outlaw can you please do a holster review? I think my wife will love the Kimber also.
Just seeing this, AWESOME! Always appreciated how you to function as a team
If this wasn't my favorite gun review UA-cam channel, it is now. You guys are awesome together. Loved this video.
Love this! Mrs. Outlaw has my vote as well. Y’all are awesome. Just keep being awesome.
Your wife seems to have a kind genuine heart, the most important factor in a wife imo. Take care of her my brother.
This was the best vid in a while and they all are good.
I really like Mrs. Outlaws review!! Friendly and fun to watch!! She needs to do more for the ladies. It will help me get the wife to the range. Thanks
Much appreciated! The wife has been curious about getting a CCW given all the ridiculous state of things.
You guys are awesome together. Mrs. Outlaw has been shooting every week. I noticed the ReFlex was not in the options. Love the Kimber Mako, H&K VP9 Sk. Mrs. Outlaws was ringing the bell. Thank you guys for sharing such an outstanding video,
To be "Honest"... When I first turned on the video, I thought Mr Outlaw might have lost a bet lol. This is great stuff, have to find a way to make this a regular scheduled video. 'Nuff said!!!... Dwight the Glock Guy Glendale Arizona.
More of this…. Great seeing armed couples in the community… Thanks 🔥
If shes gonna carry the kimber you should definitely replace the cheapo CT1550 with a Holosun 407k or rmrcc. Ive read dozens or awful reviews about the CT durability and the dot not turning on in pitch black at night
Good to get Mrs. Outlaw's perspective. I'm sure it will be helpful for the ladies interested in shooting. I always dig her crazy sunglasses.
