The Robinhood with Errol Flynn bluray movie you saw at half price books is a classic. That is the only edition available as not on 4k. My personal favorite Robinhood movie.
I almost did grab that, but it was missing a disc. Smh
@@midlevelmedia figures! Hate when that happens.
I’ve seen “Chopper” on DVD,it was a first time watch for me,I really enjoyed it. Eric Bana is great, one of his early roles.👍
Way of the Gun is an amazing film. You will for sure love it. The way the action sequences were filmed are just incredible.
I picked up the strangers 2 at big lots for 3 bucks on blue ray can’t beat it!!!
Both Born to Win (1971) and The Way of the Gun (2000) have blu ray releases JSYK
You're lucky for choice in shopping, I haven't seen a blu in a dollar store for about 10 yrs here in Canada
It’s hard to find anything in Canada. I’m in Ontario.
I'm sure you'll go back to Target again one of these days Ken they just didn't have many new movies this time. Patient Zero looks Cool Ken and Unsane I've seen bits and pieces of it Death Wish I thought it was ok for me. Cool pickups. You can always find some good movie at half price books I love that place 🆒🆒👍👍
I'm glad you liked the action figure for some reason I never opened that one 🤣.. well it's yours now! That's awesome you have some of the starwars figures I never got any of those.. great video p.s. Target stores over here in NC is the same way the shelves are always bare it's frustrating for collectors like us.
Would be interesting to see what grabs the collectors could get if they all banded together to do a pure thrifting month
Way of the fun has one of the best openings to a film.
Way of the Gun opening scene, enough said.
You should run back to Half Price Books and get City of God. It’s the best movie I saw in the whole video. Masterpiece!
In todays rough economy I find it absolutely fascinating that so many people who have no accounts with any corporations or whole sellers have so many US products in the place to be in 2023 the “Mercado”. Everything from the latest 4K & steel-books to laundry soap , mens and woman fragrances, power tools. Might give ‘em a try.
Great video Kenny! That Bedazzled was calling your name!
Almost got it, but the disc was scratched to hell. That bluray goes for 100 right now. Lol
I have the same import 4K set of the Pirates films. I imported it since i wasn't sure if the US would ever get them.
We need twins on 4K
i HATE my Half Price Books! Everything there is Amazon new price or more expensive. Used Blu-rays are rarely less than $9.99. Saw some Criterions there last time for $22.99 and these are all used. I have never ever seen absolute anything less than $4.99.
The HPB near me I see used Blu-rays for $6-$7 each and not the $3 listing that he gets. My Big Lots and Dollar Tree have zero Blu-rays, only DVDs.
Patient Zero I liked a lot, I also bought it based on the cast.
I didn't know Australia has a PotC boxset. Germany has individual releases (with part 5 coming in march) but not yet a boxset. I watched the first part today and compared it to the Blu Ray. The 4K is actually better. Yes, it's light on the grain (not totally scrubbed though) and it's maybe a bit too dark/contrasty. But the Blu Ray looks washed out and overly bright compared to the 4K. I also think that the only reason that the BR appears to have more grain is because it's brighter. Also the skin tones look way better in the 4K. Not a great release picture-wise but it's really not that bad.
The Way of the Gun does have a Blu-Ray, I hope it gets a 4K soon. I think Christopher McQuarrie is to busy writing and/or directing Tom Cruise's movies to help with a 4k for it.
It’s sad when Big Lots and some dollar trees has more movies than Target.
Yeah the movies aren’t the latest releases nor good but still…
Your Half Price Books is so much nicer than the one I visit. Mine resembles a shabby thrift store with a movie section that's in a state of squalor.
Midway was a decent war movie on first watch, have you seen 1917? (which came out same year as Midway and is a much better film) Hacksaw Ridge? A Bridge Too Far? and Platoon? Just a bit of variety of war movies that I've seen a few times. I watched Way of the Gun when it first came out, thought it was all right but it has an awesome cast.
Chopper is hardcore and awesome. It's a great movie.
I actually picked up “UNSANE” at the Dollar Tree of all places a couple months back.
I never even knew big lots had blu-rays. I'll have to check my local one out. I would have grabbed that Enterprise Season 1 you flipped by if it was only $5.
Chopper based on a true story. His character was a gangster. Great movie from Australia. Check out the audio commentary while watching because there is a quote where real guy copper talks about Reservoir dog. There are two audio commentary one from the director and other from real chopper.
Only the import version on pirates not the u.s. version
We're supposed to be getting a US set this year.
You should have gotten Accident Man and Furie at Big Lots. Good action movies for cheap. I bought them both at 15 each on release.
Way of the gun is pretty great
Right on
Don’t be smarter…..Ken ! 😂👍
Got death wish and all the other death wishes patient zero went to the big cities for for Christmas and found a big dollar tree and loaded up yes pirates all on 4k
Yeah my recent shop for Blu I's 7 OOP Blu ray for 34 dollars 😊 I love being cost effective I go to dollar general I's hard to get a good deal these years inflation and Blu peasants hoard everything
I bought Blu ray in 2005 not 2006
4:18 whatever you do, avoid Pauly Shore's animated Pinocchio movie at all costs
I enjoyed Patient Zero but unfortunately it sets up a sequel we will never see. ☹
Patient Zero is OK, not brilliant but watchable, Stanley Tucci seemed to have a good time in it.
I got Unsane 4k with the slip must check to see what it goes for
With a really good condition slip $50+ on eBay.
Same. I have it too. Pretty cool
Big lots has been more of the same these days. A lot of the movies they have are the ones they've been selling for the last several years and most of them I already own.
Mail Call
Patient zero is a one and done, not a keeper.
