- What if I told you that you have been screwing all wrong? Of course I am talking about screws and screwdrivers, and in today's episode we go over the differences of the Phillips screwdriver and the JIS screwdriver. Thanks for watching!

phillips, phillips screwdriver, history of the phillips screwdriver, history of the jis screwdriver
I've rebuild or got running so many bikes over the years and snap-on always worked great don't try craftsman tools or any cheap screwdrivers or ur going to have a bad day ask me how I know 😂😂😂
That is another thing I would like to test, is the different phillips bits because you're exactly right the different bits do fit differently. Thanks for the comment!
A snap-on phillips fits tight and don't slip lol
It better for that price🤣
you should have covered pozidrive while you were at it. The danger comes when you use an impact driver. Tips can break shooting hardened metal everywhere. Look closely at the fasteners..
Thank you for the comment, I will probably hit on them in another video! And that is a good point I did not mention. Also with impact drivers you can break the tip of the screw bit off into the screw leaving you "Screwed"
@@octanerestorations the danger is if you use not the right bit for the fastener and then honk on it with an impact driver. Human strength poses no such failures (usually) if I was unclear.
@@automan1223 I believe you are right!
Lol🤣 this was a great informed video!! That ks for posting brother
Thank you very much, glad you enjoyed it!😂
An old Kawasaki tech told me to never use a Phillips on a Japanese bike. It rounds off the sharp edges on the JIS fasteners.
Exactly right! The phillips just doesn't fit properly in them.
Only one problem...bitchy hard to find a JIS screwdriver.
It really is! Luckily with the internet you can get them online, but it still can be expensive!
Finally, the video I have been waiting on! Always wanted to know what the difference was.
Haha thank you very much!! Hope it helped!
As an old man...... it's nice to see at least somebody is still screwing!
Haha hopefully we will never stop screwing!🤣
Entertaining and informative video! :)
Glad it was helpful!
👍🏼🍻
Thank you!
Hi, where do you buy that JIS bit or how can I find it? Thanks for sharing.
Here is a link for the screwdriver amzn.to/4cHqBLZ here is a link to the Bits! amzn.to/3xbbR7C
Good video . I’ve always heard I should be using a JIS on the Goldwing, but since I didn’t have one , I’ve just used a Phillips . I guess now I should go out and buy one .
I would recommend a genuine Vessel Brand!
@@octanerestorations I'd second that. I got my #1 & #2 JIS from McMaster-Carr (they don't list specific brands) but they were Vessel.
@@crusinscamp Thats what I have been using and I love mine!
Looks like you drew Granny Panties at 5:25 LOL
You aint kidding haha!
