@@radxgre8233 So he didn't shower before his date with Venom ✨ Lol idk, I'm not even done with the game myself actually, just now getting to the climatic battle I think. I just HAD to see this epic scene again.
I like that the fires are surrounding Kraven as he had dreamed about during his last hunt. Gives that dialog his hunters were talking about earlier in the game all the more meaning
True and also notice that the screen he lands on shows a field. So in the end, he died "on a field", with "fires around him" and the "tears of his ancestors raining down on him" (rain). This was the perfect ending for an amazing character.
Kraven’s actions and motives always kept me on edge and scared me a little because each of them were not to make his enemies weaker, they were to make them stronger for him. He’s a man who knows he’s at his peak and doesn’t have long left for the world, so he doubles down on his whole life purpose and seeks to die in an epic hunt. And when you really think about it, he succeeded in all his plans. He makes an even more powerful Lizard serum for Connors to make him even bigger than he usually was. He exploits the Symbiote’s sensitive ears and Peter’s care for others to enrage Spider-Man to come at him with killing intent. And now he was finally met with Venom who at that point, was the definition of a wild feral animal. Kraven finally got his wish.
Aside from Miles vs Peter, this was my favorite fight of the game, mainly due to the symbiote and it's role in it. The fight is of two men who're both dying of an illness, and the suit giving one the chance to keep on living, while giving the other the chance to die how they want to
I love that earlier in the game you find a message recorded by Kraven saying he dreams of dying upon a field while fighting his equal. At the end of this fight, venom throws Kraven into a screen displaying a field of flowers and kills him upon it.
“I want it to be worthy of me! Do you know what it’s like to have your body betray you?! Weakness will not claim me! If I am to die soon, I will die roaring!!!”
Harry had a lot of reasons to hate the guy. Combine that with the aggression the suit learned from Peter and Harry's own rage, this was going to be cathartic for him.
What I like about this fight is that after Kraven losing to venom instead of being a sore loser and cannot take defeat like other villians, he instead being graceful and thanking venom before being executed by it because finding and died in the hands of a stronger opponent is always what he wants. This fictional villian here got nothing but my full respect and respect also goes to the writers, developers and also actors of this game
Maybe Kraven is even my favourite villain in this game, despite the fact that I really like this Venom. He was done masterfully. Only villain I prefer for sure in the Insomniac universe is Doc Ock.
Honestly Kraven telling Harry that he doesn't know how it feels to have your body betray is such good writing for this fight. Honestly the story was such a breath of fresh air. 100% game of the year

@@nathanharris4105Yeah that version of Venom was more dangerous and scary than anything the producers of Sony introduced in their movies and the best thing that Harry Osborn is the host not Eddie or Thompson because Harry Osborn is a more complicated character than those 2 and he was the best friend of Peter from high school and they could have introduced that type of the game story in either Spiderman 3 or the Amazing Spider-Man 2 an illed Harry who wants to revenge for his father and the Venom symbiote controls his mind and makes him a killing machine that destroys everything in Peter's life until he gets back to normal and dies from his disease and then we see the father getting back to life avenging his son like that type of story would have made those 2 failed Spidey movies a masterpieces.
I don’t see people mentioning this: the screen Kraven lands on is of a field. And around him: screens of flames, as he’s covered in his own blood. In the end, Kraven’s prophecy of his death came true
In the end, Kraven won. He got what he wanted. He was trying to hunt for something worthy enough to take him down. All his other hunts led to disappointment, as he still remains king of his own jungle. He wanted to die hunting for a good prey instead of dying alone with his twisted goal. Despite how much it wanted to kill Kraven, deep down I think the symbiote realized this about him and decided at that moment to give him what he desired... just in a more gruesome way, for it's own pleasure and desire. Honor among bad guys, I guess
I love that, despite the sympathetic reason of being a dying man, he is a villain I love to hate. All the innocents he killed and endangered. All the trials he made the Spider-Men endure. And in the end, he won. He got what he wanted. If Peter with the symbiote would have killed him, it would have been the same outcome. Peter would have lost himself and his values and Kraven would have gotten his satisfying final hunt.

However, there is a good argument for Harry returning from his Coma be bad also, given that Harry’s Comatose state is Norman’s motivation for becoming Green Goblin. Your comment actually got me thinking. This isnt the first time venom and harry were partnered up(when venom was latched onto harry) against kraven. When peter got stabbed, and kraven and harry were brawling, looking back it seemed like harry was actually putting up a good fight(even before venom began to directly take charge like he was here) even though we mostly saw bits and pieces of the fight before peter got the symbiote. Idk, i might be stupid here but that was just something i was thinking back to.

For some reason Insomniac likes the formula of main villain for 2/3 of the game gets replaced by new villain in the last third. In the last game it was Mr. Negative and Doc Ock here it’s Kraven and Venom. But it doesn’t work as well here cause Kraven is such a badass awesome villain. Probably the best villain of the Insomniac Spider Man games so far. Harry Osborn’s Venom was good but he wasn’t able to totally fill the void left by Kraven.

Congrats 🙌🏻🥳 Insomniac for not being as soft as the MCU. This game’s portrayal of Venom is easily my favourite and way better than that clown in the movies.
may be in the minority with this opinion. However, I feel it would've been really cool to see Kraven be the one who becomes Venom. After Harry has his initial first fight with Kraven, I feel like the symbiote would see how strong of a host Kraven could be and would detach itself from Harry and become joined with Kraven. It would've made sense for the more animalistic sides of Venom to be represented through Kraven as he has that natural animal in him. Still cool to see what we got with Harry, but it was just pretty predictable.
@@russellchan845 Just because Kraven wanted to die doesn't mean the symbiote would've let him. If it attached to him it 90% would've altered his mind and made him believe he could hunt anyone or anything with the symbiote. Making him the ultimate hunter.
The symbiote becomes extremely attached, both physically and mentally, to its host. Twisting it to their own means, yes, but still attached. the Symbiote was being legitimate about 'healing the world' as it were, by taking it over with symbiotes.
I’m surprised most people can’t see it but notice how the subtitles say Harry not Venom. This was Harry darkest moment he wanted to kill Kraven because of how he ruined his life and as another anon said the symbiotie twisted his desires to such an extreme that’s why you see venom react that way at the end well not really venom but Harry.
Carnage is significantly stronger and more brutal than Venom, hence why Spiderman and Venom needed to team up against him. Kraven would suffered defeat and humiliation since Carnage doesn't give a damn about honor.
Kraven was the best part about this game. Best adaptation ever. He became one of my favorite spidey villians after this game. What a chad. Pure respect.

All the trials he made the Spider-Men endure. may be in the minority with this opinion.
