Hi Gianmarco, as a huge fan of yours, I would love to see you on the Cold Cuts podcast. It’s hosted by two webcomic artists; BeetleMoses and Yolo Swag Studios. I think they’re hilarious, in both their comics and their podcast. Please consider checking them out, I know in my gut it would be a great episode.

i had a dream about gianmarco soresi and julia from american high shorts (on youtube)
im like half awake right now but im just going to say that i DISTINCTLY remember telling her
“yeah, gianmarco is a really great comedian!! one of his strengths is crowd work, however, one of his weaknesses is that he’ll have a mental breakdown at some point. but in a week he’ll be happy gianmarco sooo”
and everyone i talked to kept calling him depressed gianmarco (different from normal gianmarco…?)
also the whole plot of the dream was gianmarco having a mental breakdown, thats what prompted me telling julia that because she was my running buddy…??? help

That and "no one's a victim... To me". And then trying to make it seem like anyone that's talking about someone from the past being abusive means they badmouth everyone (or even most people).
Or saying you had an abusive ex is a bad look because there's something that made you fall in love with them, not realizing that some people get together with either abusive people because they don't want to be alone or that people can change over time, some for the better and others not.
Some pretty horrible things to say.

    • @ambylam
      @ambylam 8 місяців тому +14

it seems like she believes she, as an outside observer, has the ability to tell which relationships are legitimately abusive from ones where people are simply incompatible, which I find to be an arrogant belief.
she also seems to have completely missed the idea that abusive people are intentionally manipulative, so they are good at hiding their abuse and making the people they victimize seem crazy. Idk if it's caused by privilege or just a lack of empathy, but it's not a good look either way.

Did you ever hear the tragedy of Darth Plagueis The Wise? I thought not. It’s not a story the Jedi would tell you. It’s a Sith legend. Darth Plagueis was a Dark Lord of the Sith, so powerful and so wise he could use the Force to influence the midichlorians to create life… He had such a knowledge of the dark side that he could even keep the ones he cared about from dying. The dark side of the Force is a pathway to many abilities some consider to be unnatural. He became so powerful… the only thing he was afraid of was losing his power, which eventually, of course, he did. Unfortunately, he taught his apprentice everything he knew, then his apprentice killed him in his sleep. Ironic. He could save others from death, but not himself

The missile knows where it is at all times. It knows this because it knows where it isn't. By subtracting where it is from where it isn't, or where it isn't from where it is (whichever is greater), it obtains a difference, or deviation. The guidance subsystem uses deviations to generate corrective commands to drive the missile from a position where it is to a position where it isn't, and arriving at a position where it wasn't, it now is. Consequently, the position where it is, is now the position that it wasn't, and it follows that the position that it was, is now the position that it isn't.
In the event that the position that it is in is not the position that it wasn't, the system has acquired a variation, the variation being the difference between where the missile is, and where it wasn't. If variation is considered to be a significant factor, it too may be corrected by the GEA. However, the missile must also know where it was.
The missile guidance computer scenario works as follows. Because a variation has modified some of the information the missile has obtained, it is not sure just where it is. However, it is sure where it isn't, within reason, and it knows where it was. It now subtracts where it should be from where it wasn't, or vice-versa, and by differentiating this from the algebraic sum of where it shouldn't be, and where it was, it is able to obtain the deviation and its variation, which is called error.

Narcissistic Personality Disorder is very rare. Clinical levels of anxiety are very common. A specific anxiety disorder is somewhat common, but it is also a temporary symptom of other issues. When I was diagnosed with ADHD at 28, they also gave me an anti anxiety medicine. The uncontrolled anxiety was caused by the uncontrolled ADHD so I didn't need the medication for long. But I did have clinical levels of anxiety for a while. And specific anxiety disorders are also not all that unusual. It is a much more common mental health issue than narcissism. And it is exacerbated by the economic conditions young people face which have been getting progressively worse for the last 50 years. It was very hard being a young person in the early 2000s when I was young. It is much harder now.

Nah ngl she got you with the age thing. Your feelings are valid but also, the most accomplished comedians people tend to know are older white guys with a lot of experience, precisely because they are seen as ageing into their jobs/roles (as it is elsewhere in the workforce for men in general). Obviously there are exceptions.

Okay horse euthanasia info by way of my manager who grew up in a horse family
Don't read if animal death is gonna ruin your day
Putting down horses is a bummer because they're huge and they collapse and it's a whole affair
Some vets will administer a sleeping medication first, but the horse still collapses suddenly
You don't do it while the horses are asleep because you pay a lot extra for an after-hours vet call (capitalism am I right)
    Also
You gotta dispose of the body
Your vet's not gonna cremate it, so you have to bury it
Which means sometimes dragging the horse's corpse around with a backhoe
Or chaining it to a truck
    Why you put horses down
    They're suffering, but also
Horses are very expensive, especially if you don't have land so you have someone else house and feed it
So everyday that horse is alive and suffering
    You're paying for it
Like around $100 a day or more in some cases
Horses can die of broken hearts
They form deep bonds with other horses so
    (This is wild)
Some people will put down a healthy horse if its bonded partner is being put down
Because these massive beasts have fragile hearts
And why make it suffer the loss of its lifelong friend if the grief will kill it too
Please feel free to correct below, I am a secondhand source of info but goddamn if I had to learn it maybe so should you
