He’s used to Lestat’s bpd Barbie energy, poor Armand
Louis only said this because he was in a relationship with the Joker for decades before smh
The thing we saw in Armands and Louis relationship is that even though Armand should be the in power given his age etc, Louis is the dominat one. I think that Armand is really playing safe, doing mostly what Louis wants, especially after the trial. He doesn't want to be alone, he's desperate. He's pissed at Lestat remaining Louis love, that he's not enough for him (the boys he sleeps with). That's why I think that Armand secretly was glad that Daniel called him out, bc I think Daniel was a turning point in their relationship, the boy Armand wasn't allowed to kill, seemingly someone Armand could never be. Truth is that Louis can appear as normal as he wants, he is the one wanting chaos, he choose that from the moment he choose Armand over Lestat for spite only.
He fascinates _me_ .Need the show to adapt his story so bad!

Fuck this is so good. The music choice, the cuts, the way you echo Louis sorrys and boring and finally trop fragile - I am in awe. So so beautiful. I wish Assad could see this, he would be so proud I think.

The words that echo most throughout the show being layered over each other for emphasis, the showcasing of both the fragility & the violence that makes up this being who is a manipulator, a survivor of exploitation, a hopeless romantic and a toxic partner all rolled into one. Everything about this is just perfect! Armand is just so... *fascinating*

He looks so good. I don't even care that's he is evil lol. He is so fascinating, I love this character so much
This is beautiful. Just as mysterious, confusing, chaotic, stunning, and dark as Armand. He scares me as much as he saddens me and delights me. He's beguiling. That Louis found him boring baffled me but it made me realize both parties were together not because they loved each other but because they settled for anyone to not be alone. Not because they liked one another or were harmonious.
I can't wait to find more about him and also Daniel. Of all the characters, they were my favorites in the books and my favorite in the show. Daniel is ironically the most confusing of them all to me right now. He seems like a free agent with no direction, roots, or anyone checking for him. Armand, I understand, but someone like Daniel being alone and unwanted leaves me baffled. Who couldn't love this man? Why did he never find love, passion, and happiness...or has he? Those gazes Armand throws at him from time to time has me confused. They're not the gaze ypu through to an enemy. Did something happen between them and Armand jumped ship or self sacrificed for Daniel's sake?

@@eyesthrurosecoloredglasses you know that scene, i believe in episode 2 of s2, when louis starts mentally torturing daniel about his failed proposal to alice, and armand feels kinda bad and tries to reassure him. I keep seeing crackpot theories that alice was actually armand but something happened and he blurred his mind into thinking it was alice. Literally the clowning never ends.
@zowho I definitely think Armand and Daniel had a thing. Armand was left too vulnerable after that verbal jab Louis gave him in the flashback. They had an open relationship/marriage. Armand was wearing himself thin, trying to appease or make it up to Louis. So if Armand decided to play with Daniel as a distraction for a bit and ended up falling in love with him when he wasnt; well, nobody woukd really blame him as Young Daniel's a bombshell of a guy plus really sweet. It would be like dangling sweets in front of a diabetic. No one in their right mind would resist, and Armand's insane, not daft.
The Armand-Daniel affair takes after the interview following a four day heist by Armand. It ended in 1985 with Daniel's death by Armand after Armand decided to save Daniel from alcohol poisoning. What if in this series Armand stops their thing after they got caught by Louis in Paris? Louis seemed pretty livid at the idea of Alice and rubbing it on Daniel. Add the fact that Daniel was becoming weak from vice, and Armand might've felt the need to break up his affair
In the books, Armand and Daniel take on a third at some point. A sugar baby is a dancer in college. Except he's a guy. What if the show decides to turn the guy into a girl like they did Antoine into Antoinette. Then have Daniel get this woman pregnant and the woman didn't want to give up the baby. Daniel would be devastated but also want to do right by the baby. In the books, Armand loves Daniel so much. I believe he would self-sacrifice for Daniel and his baby. Armand woukd give a rat's ass about Alice but he'd move mountains for Daniel. It would be tragic but it would also be on brand for Armand.

This is a next level edit! You captured his spirit. Armand has such a mystery about him. He was so deeply traumatized from a very early age. It really messed him up.

I don't have the words honestly, the song choice alone! the internal movement and conections between clips. I wish we see more of the backstory of his, which is my favourite of the main characters. The way Amadeo meant something along the lines of "child of god", him needing to abandon a recently found comfort and the connection to his painting talent as a child, to the need to survive and turn his back on God, time and time again.

I like how the line "too fragile" comes up when it shows photo of Armand without Lestat. It's Armand talking about Nicky being fragile to take the dark gift but in fact it is Armand and his relationships based on lies and manipulations are fragile

It felt like Louis and Armand were using each other more than actually loving each other and I kinda like that since in the books they were never actually romantically involved. Not to mention Loui essentially abandons him in the show the same way he did in the books 🫢
