I actually prefer older Daniel and Armand. Its an interesting dynamic because it is the reverse of the ancient vampire loves the 16 year old. To all appearance to the mortal world it looks like the old Curmudgeon and the rent boy. The show can do sooooo much with that. Oh and really good edit.
As much as I like young Daniel he doesn't excite me even slightly as much as the older Daniel does. The latter is so much more intriguing and generally more fascinating
I like the detail where Armand says "repulsed" while looking directly at Daniel then quickly changed it to "repulses". It's like for a split second he allowed himself to imagine turning Daniel but then realized where his mind when and had to backtrack.
Perfect song for the devil & his minion. ❤️ Daniel just matches Armand's particular brand of freak so well. I'm not ashamed to admit that seeing gifs of them sassing each other in the first ep of season 2 is the entire reason I started watching this show, and I have not been disappointed since. Love this edit!!!
So in the finale it seemed implied that Armand made him, BUT in the teaser we just got for season 3 we here Daniel coughing like he still has his disease. I'm thinking Lestat is actually is maker. Armand wouldn't change Madeline because he was scared. The whole thing weirded him out. He's never made a vampire before. Idk why he'd start with Daniel who he clearly seems to dislike and he certainly couldn't have been happy about Daniel instigating Louis leaving, so my guess is that line is actually directed to Louis about him not hearing from Lestat. I think think it's red herring.
Methinks that Daniel coughing is just Lestat not letting him talk w/ his powers. Because Daniel started coughing as soon as he asked Lestat about the book, when Lestat wanted to talk w/ the audience.

@@story3877 An yet, in the books Daniel's eyes are purple, and in series they are orange. Considering how smart the showrunners are, i doubt that this is a coincidence.
Armand changed Daniel , in to a vampire out of nothing but spite , and Revenge. Daniel is definitely a vampire in season 3 , Lestat made poor Daniel cough 😷 like he had his throat cut .. out of spite coz Mentioned his book , which obviously Lestat was not at all pleased with , not from his point of view

You're not stupid! This is from the end of episode 6 of season 1. It sort of also briefly pops up in season 2, episode 5. Although I think it's from a different angle?
