    The Mark 1 is incredible I have owned several over the years and kept a couple with amazing barrels that are very accurate. I hadn't shot mine in a long time your video inspired to get mine out today I appreciate that it made for a fun afternoon.

    Rick Willnecker at Precision Pellet has the CO2 cap reproduced. He also reseals these classic pistols & other service stations. He charges $60.00 for the reseal vs. most others charge $85.00 plus shipping. The market value of these pistols runs from $90.00 to over $200 for a nice mint boxed version. These have gone up in value like most other vintage Crosmans and will continue.

    I acquired both models, and keep them in an attache case with fitted liner. Great pistols.

    The American Classic .177 .bb or Pellet, Pistol/rifle combo was the best of all time. Hands Down.
    No debate, discussion over.

    I live in the UK England , I have a Mk 1 with the power adjustment. I ordered my new seal kit and some new grips shipped from a supplier in America. It is now fully restored and a great pistol ,I have had the gun about ten years, I got it from a flea market £50.00 .

    I have the Mark 2 and absolutely love it, I’ll probably eventually get the mark 1 as well. These are one of the best in my opinion. Only my S&W 79G can contend with it. I also need t get the 78G , which is the 22 version.

    Crosman only influence using their copper coated BB because the soft copper didn't hurt the rifling like other brands ,so they would say only use Crosman products and BB's.

    If you can find walnut or bois d'ark it makes the best stocks and grips and look for a knot to form around the curve for that ear that breaks off, follow the grain around the knot and it will be stronger.

    Please, get a CAD scan of those grips and get someone to 3D print sets for sale ( like your work but I can't see going through all the trial and fit work that you did) and put my name first on the list. BTW, I'm also a fan of the MK I.😊

    • @canuckair
      @canuckair  Рік тому +1

      Indeed it does. The P08 inspired the Japanese Nambu, which inspired Bill Ruger for his .22 auto, which then inspired Crosman for the Mk1. 👍

    Go to any local machine shop and have a new screw cap made.... it's simple work for them. Adam Savage could make one.

    • @canuckair
      @canuckair  Рік тому

      It's not just a screw cap. It has the piercing mechanism built in - a small lever that lifts the pin to puncture the CO2 cartridge, and then retracts. And it all has to be gas tight - so there's a few o-rings situated around that plunger. It's obviously do-able, but the cost would exceed buying other working Mark 1's.

    • @TheWadetube
      @TheWadetube Рік тому

      @@canuckair I see, but someone did this in a primitive machine shop 55 years ago, no doubt with some assembly line help for speed. I have a special design for a compound hybrid rifle, probably would go with 38 cal. at 375 so 3/8 ball bearings could be substituted for lead pellets of that size, and it would be a complex gun but I out grew most models 25 years ago and made my first .312 cal pellet rifle and the thrill of it and it's power was addicting, now want to build the mark ll

    CO2 is plant food! Plants must have CO2 to make glucose in photosynthesis.
    The grip reminds me of the grip on my Webley Tempest pump air pistol.
    I wish you success on your new channel. 😎👍

    • @DFX2KX
      @DFX2KX Рік тому +1

      indeed CO2 is plant food (well, that and sunlight with a bit of quantum mechanics thrown in). Humans just make a lot more of it than plants can eat, they're slow. Not that CO2 airguns are a measurable percentage of that.
      You should be able to run these on HPA with some modifications, too, which does have the upside of being user-refillable.

    I will ONLY use the CROSMAN 1322 airgun pistol for shooting Crows and Pigeons at close range because the CROSMAN C°2 airgun pistols are not powerful enough to kill these birds.

    • @canuckair
      @canuckair  Рік тому

      Hmm. I've an upcoming video on the 1322 and cousins. You might want to rethink your beliefs about the pump up guns - they don't deliver the power their loud report would suggest.
