Thanks for the kind words! I learned from Evan that there is another fellow Riv rider in town! I have intentions of starting a Steel Ride group for easy river rides, so you are more than welcome to be the first member besides me.
Pretty Riv, solid build. But. Genuinely don't know why anybody buys Wald junk. The rest of the build is lightyears ahead. Wald is made in the US but like half the price of the stuff made in China, that should tell you everything you need to know about the quality. Then you add the jank-ass design of the brackets, struts, cheap-ass hardware, and EXTREMELY poorly thought out mounting schemes. Just about if not fully the worst product on the market. A milk crate is an order of magnitude, at least, better at this job. Oh yeah, I almost forgot to mention the shit colour and depth of the galvanizing. ...and the screws and nuts are never metric. Utter trash. Made in usa at ALL costs?
Maybe I need to start a basket company or something. Cuz honestly fuck wald. There are so many great bag companies, rack companies, but actually good baskets are not so common. Best one ever was on the Rowan EDC.
@@weatheranddarkness Man, I really hope you are a bot and not a real person, because any actual human being that would take this much time out of their day to spew a diatribe of negativity about a bike basket made by a company that has been around for almost 100 years is truly a sad soul. Take some deep breaths, close your eyes, and say to yourself "everything's going to be alright." This practice will help you to not slide into the comments section of pure enthusiasts and act like an absolute penis.
@@DropBarDharma I saw this gorgeous bike and then was triggered by mention of the worst product I had to deal with on a regular basis for 15 years as a mechanic. It is a permanent sore spot for me that these products keep being made and sold, and somehow considered good.
@@weatheranddarkness You are obviously entitled to an opinion but, just to be clear, the only Wald product on my Riv is the basket itself. The rack is Nitto and the basket is zip tied onto the rack - just like the many bikes of every employee of Rivendell including its owner. I will gladly borrow from their experience and personal builds over a fella who throws a temper tantrum in the comments section.
Thanks for the love! We're glad to hear you are enjoying the ride
I love it! ❤
Amazing build with nice components and a vintage FD Dura Ace part, kudos. And great filming.
That looks like a very comfy bike! ❤ it!
Beauty!
I'm drooling. I instantly subscribe to your channel
Nice build. It’s like looking at my crust alumalith. I have just about all the same parts. Cool bike.
Turned out great, man.
I love it so much!
Thank you! And thank you for your fine work.
Got to see this at Capital Co-Op, stunner!

It's a bad product unbefitting of a bike such as yours.
