I don’t know why the ladies discuss topics without doing research. Nicole is the biggest reason why this tour has been cancelled. She’s being sued by the founder of PCD for breach of contract because she tried to renegotiate her contract for the tour even though she was already promised more money than the rest of the girls. I feel really bad for the other members of the group. They deserved to be told personally that the tour was canceled.
While I agree with you, I still think its on management to let the rest of the girls know. Not Nicole. Regardless of whether she is the reason or not. I expect notice from my managers, not my co-workers. I will also add that Nicole shouldn't have come out to say it was canceled on her own, it should've been a group statement. cuz it's certainly not a good look. just my 2 cents lol.

*Professionally, the ball was dropped on this one. Management by contract is to let all parties who signed, that said contract is ending and to deal with said cancellation fees. It just makes it easy to pin Nicole as the villain. Also, I would've sent a group text but, that just me because, I hate to be embarrassed so I'm an open book when things take place.*
No. The issue was that Nicole wanted 75% of the tour revenue and Robin Antin refused leading into a lawsuit against Nicole. So, when Nicole backed out thats the end of the tour bc she's the lead singer. So, management didn't know. It wasn't covid. Nicole wanted a unreasonable share of the profits.

My thing about a doctor’s note is that if I’m too sick to come to work, how do you expect me to get to the doctor’s office to get a note??? Not everyone has the privilege to be able to just call up their doctor and get them to email over a note. Like, it’s just ridiculous.
I get needing SOME sort of proof if it’s been more than two or three days. But sometimes it really just be one or two days of absolute HELL and then you’re fine. This lowkey wouldn’t be a problem with jobs if we had actual sick leave. For schools, just let them not be there. It’s not like me not being there is going to negative impact anyone other than me. If I’m faking it, I will be the only one to suffer.

But there are a lot of needs. Health care food stamps... road maintenance...but with that being said...I needed a covid test (rapid done stat)...they charged me $220. I wanted to die.

What people don’t know is universal healthcare saves money for EVERYBODY! healthier communities mean more healthier, longer living, working people who can put their earnings into other things. It saves money for healthcare systems too. But nobody wants to talk about it bc big pharma and insurance companies have their hands around our throats
Why should there be universal healthcare if not everyone mistreats their body? Why should I pay for someone's drug overdose when I've never done drugs? Why should I pay for someone's diabetes medical costs when I don't overeat and they got diabetes from being obese? Why should I pay for someone's lung cancer treatment if I don't smoke and they smoked all their life?
There should be a system where people who need medical help can get it without breaking the bank, as long as the medical situation was not caused by their lack of responsibility. I would be glad to help pay for that. What I don't want to do is pay for people's lack of responsibility when I do live my life responsibly.
As for defense, we are the United States. If we are not strong, then China overtakes us or Russia overtakes us, neither of which are democracies. That's not a world you want to live in.
Thank you Loni. There’s no sick days for covid. I need use my vacation and personal days. I don’t have much and I use them only on my kids. I was told if I have no symptoms I need to come to work even if I’m positive or not. If I have mild symptoms I need to come to work. I feel horrible cause I know there’s people who I can spread it to. Idk this is very frustrating

I didn’t post the original comment, but - in my industry - healthcare workers (registered nurses) have to come to work if we are Covid positive BUT asymptomatic (per the CDC Dec 23, 2021). Crazy right? We have to use PTO or sick days to address the recovery time.
My fiance fully vaccinated and high risk tested positive. We have kids. So I took necessary time off and ever since day 1 of this. My company needs documentation of what's going on so they can hold my position. If not I'd be applying for other jobs. It's unfair. My company too told me if I mild or no symptoms I am required to work. I want to tell my job to shove it. My families health is way more important. And unfortunately I won't see any pay for the time I'm out. Sick pay is hard to build up where I work. Been manifesting more for myself and my family. Some things aren't always worth the hoops you have to jump through. Something needs to be done
When it comes to Covid there shouldn't be a doctor's excuse. The doctor doesn't have time to be the HR department during a pandemic. For other illnesses I would say yes for sure. Everything that Loni said was spot on. Universal healthcare and paid leave.
Nicole has always been problematic. Loni is right if she knew something she wouldn't keep it from her co hosts, what Nicole did was wrong not to talk to the others before putting out an announcement.

She is not Mariah, Beyoncé or honestly even Rihanna she’s Nicole from the Pussycat Dolls. More than 50% of the tour income going to her is outrageous. She’d rather lose money than get everybody paid.
I’m glad they discussed this healthcare issue and sick leave because I ran out of sick leave and had to return to work when I had laryngitis. My doctor explicitly told me not to talk for 2 weeks until my voice returned and I have to talk to clients 8 hours so it took much longer for my voice to heal and come back.

I applied for health insurance and they tried charging me $200 a month. First of all I paid more than trump in taxes and now they want me to pay more than he does for health insurance.

@@CorCor89 It's not the same scenario. Take a marketing class and you'll get a better understanding of how these things work. There's a reason why it went from "The Supremes" to "Diana Ross and The Supremes." Diana Ross became the bankable name and the group became its own entity. So, if The Supremes wanted to do a reunion tour, they could technically do so without including Diana Ross. But if they want to have Diana Ross participate, they'd have to pay her what she's asking or choose to go ahead without her. In the case of PCD, Nicole Scherzinger is the bankable name and they want her to be involved with the tour in order to sell tickets. She's like "No, if you don't want to pay me for the luxury of selling tickets due to my name, I don't want to be involved." Since Robin Antin clearly never wanted it to be "PCD with Nicole Scherzinger" and lumped them all into one entity, this bit her in the ass. Because now, commercially, she can't sell the PCD Reunion tour WITHOUT Nicole because a PCD reunion has to include Nicole. So instead of forking over the money Nicole is asking for and Nicole refusing to accept the offer that's on the table, they've reached a stalemate. No tour.

I work in healthcare. I’m a PSW (CNA) here in Canada. I’m currently sick and still went into work today. Last time I called in sick (October) they pulled me out for 3 days without pay. I can’t afford to be sick! .. I may have infected a few people today and caused a ripple effect. I wish all companies would get onboard with the paid sick days!!!

I work in LUXEMBOURG and live in France it is the same we dont know what sick days are... but you have to have a medical note after 2 days off... whe have children sick days for parents..if your child is sick you can take days off. And the health is almost free but that is why we pay so much taxes
Reviews esp for hotels & restaurants are very important. I stayed in a Marriott Las Cruces & the little Latino lady stuck me in a room equivalent to a roadside motel--circa Dirty Water, TN. I said all of that to say sometimes it's not the hotel or the business... sometimes it's the staff who's willing to shaft or give u poor service or poor quality provisions.

I don’t think doctors notes are an old thing… there are people that stay within their means to fight and push themselves for businesses & etc when they could care less about their mental or physical well being ! But sometimes a doctors note can be used seriously to stop that when it’s NECESSARY!

I was fired from my job recently because they didn't provide my physician return to work forms. When then did, I informed them that my physician said it may take up to 14 days to return the documents. They terminated me via mail on the day I was supposed to return. On top of that, my union isn't helping me.

I think us workers need to be honest. Don’t say you have COVID symptoms and want to return to work without proof that you are negative. If you just feel unwell or need a sick day for a stomachache/ headache/ cycle pains etc. something that needs 1-2 days then say that. Employee’s at time try to take advantage of the situation and then want to return to work when it’s time to pay bills.
I agree with Loni, I don't know why America doesn't cover healthcare, especially now. In the UK we have free healthcare cause our taxes cover it, the US needs to make this mandatory. Its crazy to me that they cant get healthcare immediately

I always look at the lowest reviews for restaurants. If I wanna go, I'm going to go no matter what. BUT I like to see if the negative review are truly something the place can fix or if it's just a person being entitled or petty. That's how I like to decide on a place.
What's an example of "something that can be fixed?" All problems can be fixed, right?

Sometimes I read a comment where the person was upset with the wait staff and they didn't get their checks as soon as they were done and the place was packed, they restaurant was short staffed, etc. So yes, that is something that can be fixed, but it was out of the hands of the person they were complaining about.

How does a country not offer a basic tax health care FOR EVERY CITIZEN? That’s crazy to me. I live in Australia and mind you I’ve been blessed with good health but the times I’ve neeed medical anything I have never been out of pocket EVER. (Expect dental) but I’ve never had to pay upfront for a doctors visit like wtf we pay like a levy of $1800 IN TAX. YOU DONT EVEN NOTICE
The problem is if you don’t have the same policy for everyone, then other people take advantage of it. This school year alone we have kids that have missed over 30 days of school and they were not COVID related. We haven’t even made it to the 100th day of school.

Even before covid. I grew up with a father who had good insurance and a nurse as a mother who knew how to navigate the healthcare system. Now years later as an adult who is in going through a ruff patch and needs public assistance insurance because I can’t get from my job … it takes months to get a doctors appointment. Unless you’re going to an emergency room or urgent care you can not get a doctor the same day. AND I have gone with my partner to the emergency room for a spinal injury … asked the doctor for a note … he said I’ll give it for today but he’s fine to go back to work tomorrow. HE COULD NOT MOVE HIS BACK. Medical field is just like every other industry. They are looking at the dollar signs.
