Worst thing that happens to a team like this is holding the other team so hard that they get cocky and run in on the spawn. The team drops and they never get organized again.
24:30 something to also keep in mind, is you could say "oh why are my team mates investing ults and deaths when clearly we're losing this fight" - well, those team mates are gold. And they think like gold players. And they see you, THEIR TANK, still fighting on point. They're not going to consider the strategic long game here, they're gonna see you contesting cart and they'll try their hardest to contribute.
An easy fix is if you start playing properly yourself. Realize the fight is lost, start backing up early, and don't give your team an indication that it's still winnable if its not. Once they see you far away from the cart, do you think they'll just run past you and feed? Especially if you also say it in voice comms you're backing up to regroup? Sure maybe once or twice someone is gonna stay stubborn and do a dumb thing, but more often than not you're the one actively encouraging them to do dumb things to begin with. If they don't see you on cart, they will not think you(r team) is still contesting and engaging in this overtime fight.
So if you want to be better than gold, start by proving you understand what is and isn't a good fight to commit to. If you can't figure this out in the heat of the battle, then guess what. You aint above gold yet. Keep improving.

Bad tanks expect supports to out heal all damage. Bad supports don't think they have to provide value outside of healing

Enemy Ana kinda carried. She had some sick plays.
Creating space is a tanks job creating space that favors your team as much as possible is what makes a really good tank.
One more thing that helped me a lot. Give yourself a second longer to aim the follow up shots on gravtic flux. No reason to rush things. They are stunned for quite a while. Just make sure those two balls actually hit so you confirm the kill.
one thing I'd like to mention is you can be aggressive against a rein with sig but you NEED to keep your rock for when he starts swinging
While playing Orissa I got to say he was a bit overextended. If your team play’s aggressive it works. Usually in random queues people play passive though.
Put a mic on while being the tank. Let them know you want to be aggressive and see if they play like that the first dive. If not then play on the cart until you get a pick
not in my experience. in random queues I always seem to find the people who wanna go aggro even when it doesn't work
26:09 he is completely right. When Im Rein, I love it when my enemy tank gets cocky and commits to a brawl. Easy ult charge and also sometimes creates an opening to firestrike the backline. That is why I have the voice lines "Are you afraid to fight me" and "are you chicken" to spam. Makes the enemy tanks overcommit lol
Red team should have win the map at 20'00 video time code, a good rein would have force Orisa to spin to touch while Reinhardt pin in. In my opinion, one of the problem for blue team was the Tracer pick : this hero can't kill Reinhardt shield, can't get Pharah and Mercy in the air, Moira can fade out... the only available target is Hanzo but Red team are really packed , I didn't see Tracer flank a lot ; yes they have Bastion to rekt Rein shield but Rein seems to play pretty good with corners to not loose his shield easily and Bastion wass not babysite by a Mercy so 30% less damage boost.
At 31'00, red team should also been able to win the round ; Sigma was purple, Rein could have easily pin Sigma out of los of his supports and with high ground control make red team unable to contest the point the last 60s on timebank.
I think that the fact Red team change their comp for their last defense was their worst choice, their Rein was good, Pharah-Mercy were untouchable. In fact, red team would have been able to win the last defense if they were able to split Sigma with Mei pick that low elo players forget the power of her ultimate or just her ice wall.
On paper I can understand why blue team want Zarya as a tank : combo : The zarya graviton ; il would allow Tracer to make assured kill with pulse, same with Bastion and Ana could help too with a good anti heal grenade but in solo queue even in gold, you can't expect people to make such
plays.
Been there too. Had a game against an insane widow where he perma killed my dps and somehow it was my fault. All we needed was one fight to stabilize but they decided to throw because I didn't want to swap. Feel bad man ;(

As a tank or support? If support then understandable, there's not too many options to deal with widow effectively as a support. As tank though? Then you should be switching to dive on her with a winton or dva or something like that if she is hard shutting down your dps
Funny thing is, I was playing Winton. But my genji had an obsession of standing still that LITERALLY 3 secs into the match, he was dead... and again and again. I did shut down the widow but by then, they had ults so they steamrolled 2nd point. And then they flamed the hell out of me.

its kinda their job to take damage
@@livelaughsol7066just because they can take damage doesn't mean they need to face tank everything and expect to get all resources from supports (especially not taking into account of where they are and just expecting them to be with you 24/7)

I have a friend who has played since ow1 and they also thought that zarya counters rein so I assume that's why the supports wouldve wanted them to play zarya. That or to help with the antis? Who knows. Just my guesses. I would be fine with having this tank on my team ngl. They playedd pretty well

Don't be pasive tank, pls. Orisa is the one of the heroes who cant glue herself to point and NOT die. You had amazing Bastion and Zen. (don't know about Tracer and Ana, but i think they did decent)
The only way I see Zarya getting value would to bubble the backline when Pharah was harassing support or to cleanse the Ann nade

They got way too greedy by the end of the game. Supports were fine, a feeding Sigma and Orisa isn't their job to babysit.

I dislike these videos because Emongg only criticizes one player rather than the entire team, making it seem as if the player he's spectating was the reason why they lost. He failed to mention the bastion, who was being walked like a dog the entire match and hardly contested rein, forcing the person being spectated to take on his job of destroying shield, or the tracer, who had very little impact on the game other than picking up kills at the end of team fights and mercy picks. The list could go on, but the point is that the tank occasionally overextending wasn't the problem.
First of all the person sending in the VOD consented to be criticised, the bastion did not. He might not want to be made fun of for views and I very much appreciated Emonggs approach to focus only on the person who sent in the VOD.
Secondly this is supposed to be constructive feedback for the player to improve his playstyle. Telling him that the bastion was terrible won't help him.

Tank players are such babies, idc what anyone says, it’s the easiest role. You have so many cooldowns to save yourself, huge hp pool, and do as much dmg as a dps. Sigma even has shield health.

Clearly u have never played tank. The size of tank makes the bigger healthpool not that big of a advantage since u receive damage easier.( Support has also big cooldowns that keep them alive btw)

Except for the fact that a lot of the match relies on having a good tank. If you have a bad support or DPS then you could still get out a win but if you got a bad tank then your chances of winning go down dramatically. The tank also goes through a lot of stress because they're taking majority of the blows from the other team and the other roles aren't constantly being beamed by enemies in most games so they have the ability be a little more relaxed if you have a good tank. The reason why tanks can get as much damage as DPS is because they are in the front lines and shouldn't be dying as much as other roles so they have more chances to get out damage.
Tank is not the easiest role. You have a lot to deal with. Supports are also not the easiest even though they're the strongest, they also have a lot to deal with.
