Early seventies I lived in Madurai. Madurai city is known for eataries. City that never sleeps. On many nights we used to go to Murugan Idly Kadai. Specially for
different Chutneys, with piping hot Idlies. We also remember the shop at Madurai railway statuion, taking parcels. Great shop.

In terms of variety, taste and quality Murugan Idly Kadai and Shri Krishna sweets are way ahead of Hotel Saravana Bhavan or Sangeetha. Hope people realise this.

Good quality. But not all can afford the prices. Prices're more than the quality. Not worth. Murugan Idly Kadai has to close their Purasawalkam branch because of the high prices and they couldn't compete with famous WELCOME HOTEL.
