The production quality on this is SO slick. The audio, lighting, background music, animation and transitions are top notch. Props to you or whoever you're working with to produce these!
I have the Nuna Leaf. It's amazing, the babies loved it. My 18 month daughters still like to lounge in it and watch TV. I had Rock 'n Plays as well. Life saver with twins. I recommend everyone get it. It's so lightweight you can easily throw it in the car and you have a safe place to set your baby when you're not home.
Renting a Snoo was one of the best choices we made when our baby was a couple months old! Total game changer for an infant who didn't sleep well (refused to sleep in the Halo swivel bassinet). He actually started sleeping well from the first day we got it. It was a such a relief. And transitioning him to a crib at 6 months was incredibly smooth. He's been sleeping through the night since then, which I attribute in part to using the Snoo (which has a great weaning feature).
Gonna be a first time dad in a few months and I have been doing quite lots of research and watching your videos for a while now. You are doing one heck of a job man. Very simple and informative stuff. Keep it coming looking forward for the 2019 gear.
I think it is best to keep things simple. I found a "boppy pillow" to be great. Also, when they are sitting up, the 3 way "sit to stand activity center" was a blessing.
I think the Stokke Tripp Trapp is still the best high chair I’ve tried. My daughter tends to have a pretty bad form in other high chairs but in the Tripp Trapp, she sits surprisingly straight. I also like that the whole chair is made out of wood which is just more pleasing to the eye than plastic.
We purchased the nuna leaf for our daughter, now 9 weeks old and she enjoys the leaf. She will often snooze in it. The downside for us is the fact its so low on the floor and she likes being higher up but mostly the velcro tabs, the velcro is quite noisy. They often wake her when we are getting her in and out. Mostly we purchased it because it takes up to 60kg so our intention is for her to use well into her childhood as a reading chair.
Your videos are fantastic. The content is extremely thorough and helpful. You don't lead every video with a bunch of unnecessary exposition, and the timestamps are amazing. I've subscribed and I look forward to more!
I have an in-home daycare and bought 4 of the Lotus playpen. I use them every day and they are SO easy to set up and take down - which I do multiple times per day. They are easy to wash, and when a child needs extra comfort, I can easily unzip the side to sit with them. I can even sit between 2 and be patting 2 kids’ back. The best part - all organic/natural materials! No chemicals!
Hi. I’m about to start a small scale in-home daycare this summer. Please can you give me some tips on how to start and run one? Maybe pointers to more things I can research on? Thank you soooo much
Lots of great mom channels, don't get me wrong- but I like the Dad channel because I get all the info without too much extra words. 🤷 Us ladies just talk to much sometimes LOL
Snoo to us is a God send! It has saved us from every single night sleep waking of the baby. It has a good resale value at the market place too. All in all it’s a win-win!
I'm currently pregnant and I bought baby things in ten years.. We just found this channel! Thank you so much for for being clear and concise with your reviews!!!
Expecting my fourth. It's INSANE how much baby gear has changed since i first became a mom 14 years ago! I still miss that old recalled Graco Harmony high chair that I had with my almost 14 year old! But the rest of my kids have used that wonderful Ikea Antilop high chair at the very least for travel. Pop the legs out and it even fits in some of the smallest trunks! Absolutely priceless for holiday dinners at family members homes! Pair it with a Gerber suction plate dining set and you have the perfect travel pack for on the go baby and toddler feeding! My last wound up using an antique wood high chair at home and is still using it at almost four as a junior chair. I have to replace the seat pads in order to use it as a high chair for #4 since they fell apart after so many years of service, as well as find the harness I made for it. Sucks cuz the cheapest seat pads I can find for the wood high chairs are like $75!
An awesome friend of ours got us the Dream Nest from our registry. Absolutely love it, because it can be used as a bassinet, a travel crib, and a playpen. Originally designed by an engineer who lost his 4 month old daughter to SIDS, and with how many more uses it can have beyond a bassinet, we consider it a must-have.
We love our Comotomo bottles, we use these and Boon. My baby loves them. They are so easy to clean. I haven’t seen any residue buildup, and it fits perfectly into our Kiinde bottle warmer.
All my friends love the Snoo and you can rent it now instead of buying. I bought mine on sale new for 800 during the holidays. Though it is a sh*t ton of money for a few months, I offset it by downgrading other luxuries. Your rec on the Euphy Camera on your other video, great- it's a wonderful cam. Guava travel crib is so easy and convenient, love it! I bought your rec on the mattress, love that as well, money well spent. I tried many strollers and the only one my wife and I could agree on was the Uppababy Cruz and we love it. Cruz over Vista based on size difference, it matters when unloading a lot.
Thanks for all your hard work !! Me and my wife are expecting our first, your reviews have helped us stay away from overpriced and over hyped baby gear.
Comotomo bottles seem awesome at first and then for no reason will just start leaking. I was a big proponent of them when we first got them and read a lot of negative reviews about leaking after a couple months. I figured people just didn't read the directions and either scrubbed the hell out of them when they washed them or put them in the dishwasher thus ruining them. I took meticulous care of them but it didn't matter. A month in, 5 of the 6 we bought were leaking all the time. So frustrating. Especially when you pay a high premium for them. Went back to the tried and true Philips Avent that we used with our first child.
We are having our first, baby boy in Jan. Your reviews have helped us a lot. I find it hard to get the products, living in South Africa. But Amazon does ship quite a lot. We have bought the comotomo bottles from Amazon but the costs are much higher due to exchange rate. That is 14.34 Rands to 1 dollar. And shipping is also high. Please keep your reviews coming. Thanks
Talking about high chairs, I'm sorry to say there is only one brand, STOKKE, both versions looks nice, smart solutions, grows with the kids and can be used for adults as well if needing an extra chair!
Also big fan of the Guava Family Lotus. The side flap is a winning feature both to lie down with your baby and to keep it open when he starts crawling to get in and out. And about the Mamaroo, we returned ours. It had no effect on our son.
I use como tomo bottles and love them. Easy to clean, and use. My baby didn’t take well to avent so I decided to go to these and so glad I did. I only have 4 of each size due to price but it’s working for us.
Hi, Great video! Love your concise reviews. A few things... the FP rock n play is recalled. Clek makes awesome splurge car seats and you forgot the stokke high chair!
One convertible car seat/stroller that was the best item I bought for my two kids was Lilly’s Gold 5 in one Sit’N Stroll.... very expensive (if bought new) but you can find cheaper options on eBay. My son was 5 when he stopped using it.
Wow! Comprehensive, excellent North Star on baby equipment for all kinds of baby traveling and lifestyle situations. Kudos! We confirmed a lot but learned a lot too. Thanks!
Love your quick and concise reviews, keep them up! We have a Nuna Leaf Grow swing and LOVE it. The swing is gentle, motion doesn't last more than a few minutes but has been enough for us. The grow model has a recline feature which is great now our son can hold his own bottles. Looking forward to this model transitioning into a toddler chair as well and how it co-ordinates with our furniture and decor. Highly recommend.
I couldn’t figure out comotomo bottles, the actual bottle kept collapsing on my daughter and she couldn’t get and milk out with out having to suck really hard so I’d end up having to take it in screw the top to uncollapse it. The ones we ended up really liking were the Tommie tippie ultra, they have a very wide mouth as well super easy to clean as well and my daughter seemed the most comfortable with those and the basic nuk bottles (the ones with Minnie on them no sure of the full name)
I have the Nuna Chair too. Although the Wooden Stokke tripp trapp is in My Country very Populair. But iam happy that i bought the Nuna and not the Stokke! You can personalize the Stokke with your Favourite color and put a name on it. But its still wood, hard to clean and the paint will get off after a While. Lidl have the Same kind of Chair (Stokke look alike) for much cheaper price.
awesome informative video, no baby yet but hopefully soon and watching these videos helps to know what to look for and what we would be needing. Keep up the awesome work !
Hannah From Arizona! We’re due with our first and love watching Dadverb for reviews on the best baby gear. Na it definitely seems to be the most promising for us and we’d love to try it out!
Our baby is 6 weeks old and loves the Como tomo bottles. I breastfeed and we use it for pumped milk. As a med student, I was curious about them for the reasons you mentioned and it's worked well for us
My friends and I all had babies around the same time and only me and one other person got the SNOO, we had the best experience sleep training (but you have to start from Day 1) and no issues with sleep regression and transitions (if you follow the directions). It is truly magical and a life saver, while everyone else was waking up 10x a night, we slept through. So I thought it was totally worth the money on the third day we used it because we had not gotten any sleep at the hospital and I would have paid double for the sleep I was able to get when we got home and put the baby in the SNOO. It also helps that they constantly run promos and you don't have to spent $1k for it (although, again, I totally would have paid $2k) and you can also buy it used (since they are used for a few months only, most are in pretty good condition), or the company now offers a rental program. You can also resell it afterwards and I think at the end it cost us only $300 for the 5 months of use we got which made it comparable to the other bassinets (except it trained our baby to sleep well).
Perfect timing. I was looking into convertible car seats as my son approaches a year. Didn’t even consider the Britax until this review. I was looking into the Graco 4ever or the Maxi Cosi.
Thanks for taking the time to make these videos. Your videos are concise, and the quality is excellent. Thanks for putting this stuff together for busy parents. Your effort is much appreciated!
its funny we have most of these things. We got the maxi cosi magellan max car seat which is much smarter than the ones you posted, from birth to 10 years old. the sholder straps are automatically up to slide baby in. We got the mamaroo for $65 at buybuybaby cuz it was broke but i took it all apart and fixed it. I would also suggest the Diono Quantum stoller, we got it for like $150 from their site and it converts from a bassinet all the way to an older kid stroller and we can attach our maxi cosi to it as well it also has a one touch brake which works great! Good product list tho! We are looking at the Joovy Room packnplay for our next purchase. We like products that will grow with our kid so we only have to buy them once and it justifies spending the money.
Newborns need a carseat, diapers and topless mothers. They don't need clothes, bottles or even blankets as long as mother has a sweater and bath towels. If you have a dresser, dump a drawer, line it with towels and you have a safe place to put them to sleep if you don't want to just put them in your bed. I wish I had known how much they really don't need. I bought all kinds of stuff my kid never used.
Do you have an update on travel cribs that includes the Newton Pack and Play? I also wanted the Guava, but now that the Newton makes a travel crib, I am hesitant. I love their mattress! Could you make a video comparing those two?
Hey mommas! This is going to be long winded, but seriously worth reading! Take a bit of advice from a "low-income" seasoned momma of 3 with one on the way, ages 13, 10, 4, and due Labor Day! The best use of your moolah is to buy the high end/expensive baby equipment used! Not remotely exaggerating, the high end stuff is always better quality, even after 2 or 3 kids and/or families, than the cheap/affordable stuff is when it's brand new off the shelf! The cheap stuff often can barely make it through just one child! I wasted way more money on the cheap stuff with my first two kids than I care to admit, so when i started from scratch with baby #3, with whom I had an even tighter budget, I bought EXACTLY what I wanted. I bought literally EVERYTHING (except the car seats and crib of course) used on eBay, Craigslist, FB marketplace, and Once Upon A Child. And I bought everything including every shred of clothing, (oh, except the infant car seat) MYSELF, on a mere $900 budget. The one single thing I had left over from my first two after my divorce was the ring sling i made myself for baby #1, so i really did get ALL high end stuff for only $900! Now expecting #4, having bought really good stuff for #3, unless i have a boy (hoping considering i already have 3 girls and a stepdaughter!) I won't really need to buy diddly squat! It would have been nice if I had figured this stuff out a decade sooner because I wouldn't have had to replace high chairs, strollers, cribs, and playpens with baby #2! To fit a really good crib in my tight budget, because this had to be new due to safety issues I had with each of my older two girls (born 2005 and 2008) cribs from before they changed the crib standards in 2011 (and even the new cheap ones are pretty iffy to me), I bought a daycare rated portable crib, that included the mattress in the box, for only $126 on Wayfair (they stopped selling it about a month after i bought mine though)! It's an LA Baby model CS-81. It comes in Black, White, Silver, Brown, or Cream colors. All 5 colors of this thing are on sale for as cheap as $108.99 right now, on a site that charges ~$25-$30 for shipping! The price fluctuates a LOT though, so catch it while it's cheap. It cost me nearly $200 after shipping from that site when I bought one in 2016 for a long time friend who was reopening her daycare and needed a daycare rated crib for dirt cheap. Bonus: it comes fully assembled! Pull it out of the box, unfold the frame, lock the mattress support in place, put the mattress in it, and VOILA! You have your crib set up in less than 5 minutes! It's great because even fully open/assembled, it fits through standard interior doorways so moving from your room to the nursery is nothing if they're on the same floor! In this case it saves even more money because this also elminates the need for a bassinet. Especially when you figure you can get a complete mini-crib bedding set for as cheap as $22 if you really look. I got a lavender color flowery set for $22, brand new, on eBay. No way you're finding a complete full size crib bedding set for that cheap outside of possibly a garage sale! When it comes to the car seats, you really have to buy them brand new. I was in a really bad accident with #1 in an old Britax Roundabout Christmas 2007 and there was no way to tell that it was in an accident with the naked eye, it still looked practically brand new as if it just came out of the box. So there's seriously absolutely no way to be sure that a seat from someone you don't know has been crashed or not. Getting one used from, say, your cousin or sibling is perfectly fine if it has all necessary parts, is in good working order, and isn't expired, because there's no way that seat could have been in a car accident without you knowing. For these reasons, keep in mind the compatibility of new car seats and used strollers, and what your budget for both are. Please note that if you buy a high end stroller, except hunting down one of the old discontinued universal adapters for a Baby Jogger (I have one for my Baby Jogger), you will only be able to fit a high end car seat on it. The reverse is true as well, except for universal car seat carriers/stroller frames, if you buy a cheap stroller, it will only fit a cheap infant car seat. If you really have to keep the budget super tight but really do need (or just really, really want) a really good infant seat (like you need something with a European belt path for installation without the base because you don't have your own car or something like that), and you can hold off on getting a regular stroller, a cheap universal car seat carrier is your best bet. They're almost always up for sale on Craigslist for ~$10-$30 and they're only like $50 brand new. The wheels are crap, but it's not going to get near as many miles as the stroller they use after outgrowing the infant seat. It just occurred to me that maybe I should make videos about this stuff. The affordable stuff is really garbage and doesn't have anything special to highlight, but all these baby equipment videos really are only targeted to parents with like an unlimited budget! Poor/low income parents like myself, and clearly several commenters on this video, are really a neglected part of the parental consumer base!
Pressity Smith as a first time mom knowing that the majority of the baby products on the market are just a fluke for spending loads of money. I am expecting at the end of June and have purchased almost everything used but in pristine condition from a resale app. A glider for $50, Halo bassinet for $75, travel system that was only a few months old and in no wrecks for $90, a free twin mattress that will be Saran wrapped for storage and ready for babies transition later on, an ergo baby carrier and infant insert for $22. I seriously am so proud of myself for the money I have saved so far. And let me not forget that there are really generous moms in my area who offer bundles of free clothes for new babies. Which is so helpful since they grow so fast. I couldn’t imagine having spent so much money on the amount of clothes baby now has but at full price. A lot of times bundles of resale clothes aren’t available at or after 6 months which I could assume is because at that time babies are eating solids and making more of a mess so the clothes aren’t really that salvageable. But I’ve even purchased little odd and end things such as a brand new changing pad, boom grass bottle drying rack, shoes, etc for less than full price via resale app. It’s amazing. I love this option because instead of putting all of these things in the waste like typical American habits tell us to do, it can be reused in another household. It’s amazing.
Pressity Smith dad of a 10 week old daughter here! Wish we would’ve seen this a few months ago lol fortunately we are blessed as parents with good careers and we’re able to buy the higher end stuff new but dang I grew up very poor and still don’t like spend money unnecessarily if I can avoid it. Moving forward this will be our approach! Thanks for the post!
I think I bought too many strollers I bought a full size uppababy vista an uppababy minu and a doona but I’m thankful I live in country where health care is free I notice that with American parents is that they also have to pay for birth which can be expensive in the uk it’s on nhs so we don’t have to worry about hospital charges so we have the extra cash to splurge on baby items
great video, i liked it, but wanted to know more on the mattress cause breathing plastic or synthetic material is never a good idea .. we got one thats made from coconut husk.
Maria San Millan the Cosco Scenera Next is an awesome travel car seat for kids under 40lbs and about 38” tall. It’s lightweight, easy to install, and $40. I bought one for travel but one of my kiddos prefers it over her fancier Britax seat so it’s a daily use seat for us at this point. But it doesn’t last as long as many other seats because the shell is shorter - rear facing kiddos need 1” of shell above their head so most kids outgrow the Scenera Next around 38” tall even though the height limit is technically 40”. And the harness slots are too low to safely forward face most kids (the harness has to come from above their shoulders when forward facing). The Graco Contender is another great travel seat and it lasts a lot longer than the Scenera Next but it is heavier and harder to lug around. I wouldn’t choose it for an everyday seat but it’s a decent choice for travel. The Evenflo Sureride is another lightweight, longer lasting seat to look into for traveling.
Nuna Leaf was a huge waste of money. Tested on three kids, none were sure what’s going on. It just looks cool, hopefully it will be useful as a toddler chair?!
Rock n play has been recalled!!
The production quality on this is SO slick. The audio, lighting, background music, animation and transitions are top notch. Props to you or whoever you're working with to produce these!
I buy everything he recommends based on my budget. So far, no regrets. I loved his recommendations.

The grow model has a recline feature which is great now our son can hold his own bottles. Looking forward to this model transitioning into a toddler chair as well and how it co-ordinates with our furniture and decor. Highly recommend.
The magnetic cheerios is amazing!
Keep up the awesome work !
thanks for making this video. its weird watching this as a guy who does enjoy tech-youtubers in the more conventional sence. Definitely subscribed!
As a med student, I was curious about them for the reasons you mentioned and it's worked well for us
Love the como Tomo bottles! Easy to clean. My baby had no problem taking bottle and then nursing next time.
Thank you for making these videos. I love showing new gadgets to my wife from your channel.
How do you not have more subs?! Great quality video, and you’re so natural in front of the camera. New subscriber here! 👍🏻
No matter what "things" you buy, nothing will replace YOU for the baby. Buy yourself time, and spend it together.
No Cybex cloud Q as one of the best carriers in the market? It has amazing car safety features.
We love our nuna leaf, it’s my favourite baby item
Perfect timing. I was looking into convertible car seats as my son approaches a year. Didn’t even consider the Britax until this review. I was looking into the Graco 4ever or the Maxi Cosi.
Thanks for taking the time to make these videos. Your videos are concise, and the quality is excellent. Thanks for putting this stuff together for busy parents. Your effort is much appreciated!
I have the nuna leaf it’s great does the trick easy to clean looks great in living room took back the mamaroo for it
Man this was so helpful, I wish I could pay you for you effort for this video
You are. UA-camrs make money off views
its funny we have most of these things.
Love the videos , keep them coming. Really helpful for a dad to be !
I love you Dad Verb! Your content is fantastic so thorough, detailed and entertaining!! xx
Good stuff, specially when you get them for free for commercial purposes
********* @7:00 fisher-price rock ‘n play is recalled. ********
Crystal Kathuria I received one for my baby-shower with no gift recite where do I return this thing ?
You didn't add that Guava Family has a bassinet add on it was amazing and can rock. We used it as our main bassinet and love it
Very helpful, thanks!
I sell doona. And the stoller legs definitely do not fold out that smoothly but that's a good idea why wait for wheels
Great review! Convertible car seats stay with your kids for a long time, so it is good to do your research!
Great video!! Straight to the point... I love it!
I am so lost on what to get for a stroller. I like the nuna car seat a lot, and I like the tavo, but it’s so expensive.
Car videos by girls I certainly dont watch but a dude making baby tools videos I can consider informative. Thanks guy.
This video was extremely helpful! Thank you. God bless you.
Do you have an update on travel cribs that includes the Newton Pack and Play? I also wanted the Guava, but now that the Newton makes a travel crib, I am hesitant. I love their mattress! Could you make a video comparing those two?
Man! I appreciate this channel.
I find it so interesting that a rear tether strap is a new feature in a car seat in the US considering it’s a mandatory feature in Australia.
You guys dont have a chest clip right?
We do in our family on both car seats but it’s not mandatory in Australia.
i don't think that this is a thing in the US but in Germany the Stokke TrippTrapp is one of the most popular High chair and it looks super cool
I was excited to watch this video (due May 2019) until I realized I can't afford any of this. Lol
Nichole Jones Same 🤣
Pro tip on the IKEA high chair cut the two outside clips and that will help out a ton in removing it
I think I bought too many strollers I bought a full size uppababy vista an uppababy minu and a doona but I’m thankful I live in country where health care is free I notice that with American parents is that they also have to pay for birth which can be expensive in the uk it’s on nhs so we don’t have to worry about hospital charges so we have the extra cash to splurge on baby items
My GF snagged the Doona for sub $300 after stacking major coupons at targets - couldn’t be prouder
great video, i liked it, but wanted to know more on the mattress cause breathing plastic or synthetic material is never a good idea .. we got one thats made from coconut husk.
Car seat adapters lol… I don’t even have a baby.. and even j know you shouldn’t leave them too long in a car seat..
I like your videos more than many mother's.. They talk too much you get to the point.
CandyCandy exactly!
I like a convertible car set, butI have a question, do you have for child of 2 years older, because I need one for travel. you video is wonderfull
This is an awesome video. Thanks
Nuna Leaf was a huge waste of money. Tested on three kids, none were sure what’s going on. It just looks cool, hopefully it will be useful as a toddler chair?!
Holy cow, so many brands I've never heard of, haha! I'm new here obviously
