6:59 The VR community is so traumatized by over 10 years of empty sandboxes, rogue-lites, and tarkov clones that we forgot what a narrative game feels like 😅 Great vid!
For anyone interested in the lore, and universe of Metro! There are 3 INCREDIBLE books that have really great audiobook versions that are absolutely worth your time. I highly recommend them!
The games have a VERY different story from the books. If you're interested in the books, read the books. If you want to understand more about the game, play the games. Love the books though.
Gameplay is meant to make you immersed. VR amplifies that *tenfold*. The more mainstream VR gaming becomes, the better and higher quality games hit the market. Unrelated, but I want *more* and *better* horror games.
@@noodle_Cxhonestly I'd advise against preorders as it will likely be the worse outa behemoth metro and batman sadly because the devs are not nearly as good reputation aswell as there's rumour of sweet baby influence which is scary like I want a good VR alien game but pre-ordering it may not be wise
You should also make a point about the enemies! They have a really good AI that avoids your guide of attack and the spiders mechanics in general are horrifying! 9:38 Also awesome tip here
CANNOT WAIT till this game unlocks for me in 2 days. i bought the pcvr base edition because im short on cash and needed those extra few dollars (especially since i live in eastern europe), but now im regretting it because the wait is killing me.
I BEG of you, please do an Into The Radius review at some point, you've mentioned it in several videos now, but you haven't done a dedicated video and it's *so* good, and more people need to know about it, especially with the new sequel that's being made great video though, I'd seen this game recommended to me by a friend to play when it came out, but had completely forgot it existed! I can't wait to give it a try, if ITR is anything to go off, Russian nucellar stuff is really fun in VR :P
Full body is really important for me disappointed hands only feels as outdated as snap turn/teleport only games especially after being spoiled with batman But other than that im hyped anf have preordered metro❤ i am more excited for metro than i was for batman
@@AeonGreyh ik bodies are really hard to get right. floating hands can be better in a lot of cases. i think arms and hands should be a standard for most games obviously not for something like batman but saints and sinners and behemoth do it well
Ill try and remember to watch after I play but Here is a comment and a thumbs up for ya =) I'm in 8.5Hrs and love this game coming from the other Metro games this fits in the atmosphere / story writing perfectly.
Always love your reviews, planning on getting a VR soon because of you. You’ve gotten me invested and interested even more in the technology, so keep it up :D Is there any quick survival games you recommend other than Ghosts of Tabor (you’ve sold me on that one), or is there a vid coming up for that one?
why is it that every review on youtube is praising this game, but the steam reviews only sit at 65%? feel like it's a huge discrepancy. maybe youtube game reviews are going down the IGN path and are not worth watching anymore
Good thing about Metro: This campaign lets you make a nice list of youtubers that will praise any bullshit for money. Look at the Steam Reviews and the unpaid youtube reviews. It´s avergae at best. and don´t forget to put all guys like @virtual bro onto your "don´t trust a single word he ever says" list.
It proves VR is growing up by having a B Team make a game that is of lesser quality and scope then any of the flatscreen Metro games, is 8 hours long and very basic repetive, back tracking and basic combat levels and weapons mechanics compared to any other flatscreen Metro games? Like how is this proof lol
thumbnail is misleading. states this game is a "survival horror" survival implies mechanics like hunger and thirst. this game does not have that, yes you ration ammo (on normal i have only ran out once in 3hrs of gameplay) but that's it. this is a story driven singleplayer campaign, featuring horror elements, gameplay is shooter with ammo rationing to encourage stealth. its a good game by "VR" standards, but it is definitely the weakest entry into the metro franchise yet. if you already have VR and love metro get it in like a week or so to give them a chance to iron out some bugs.
@@duoduos9221 i have never needed to swap out for one of the filters on my back i keep finding new ones to swap out the one already on my face. i have only ran out of ammo twice, once due to my own stupidity. supply rationing only counts if you actually have to ration. there are no real survival elements in this game. (im on normal btw)

Theres an alien isolation inspired vr alien game coming in December based around Aliens (2) I'm excited for

The best VR game Alyx had floating hands.
Half life half the price tho

Thank you for bringing this game to my attention.
There's so few vr games that peak my interest like this one has
4:12 I love good sounds in games
Love Metro, dont have a VR but am glad they are still exploring that world!

for me, this is my first metro game, it is terrifying but i love it
You're one of the best VR reviewers on this platform IMHO, your thoughts are greatly appreciated!
I’m excited for the holiday season as more people will get Quest 3s, leading to more VR games for better hardware .
Apart from classic Doom sawn-off, best shotty in a game our Metro does have
Looks like the second full-scale VR game is here

I don’t know if you’re interested in other games but project third eye looks pretty good
Metros growing up to be titled that doesn't even come close to comparing to how great a 5-year-older game like half-life Alyx is
It is not a truely immersive experience, unless I can have a epic fight with a bear and a brick!
Wait wait wait wait, how do you pull the magazine out of the pistol? None of the standard methods of tactical reload were working for me.
you just have to hold grip on your bottom hand and pull out
The only thing that bothers me with the game are the cartoony death animations
Thats why i refund it
This is on q2 aswell
yes
ARTYOMMMMM
12 hrs 😮😮😮
@@benbaz4607 …and I’m still not done with the last level…
This game looks rad, but im a wuss, and the giant spiders are really making me hesitant on trying this game
they are really terrifying. but they're adding an arachnaphobia mode

Metro sleeping. VR is going backwards at this point.

Resident Evil defined the term 'survival horror', so your definition is off.
rationing ammo and stuff like using the generator to charge your headlamp and keeping track of air filters is still undoubtedly survival
