Phwooaarrrrr. Those Aqualines are really lovely.
I thought you'd like it! 😄
When are you two going cruising togehter?
This could be a nightmare for us as we are looking at a few wide beams on Rugby!...... The competition is already off the chart and now Nick's gang have just jumped onboard (I'm in yours and Nick's gang). Oh well that's life -
@@AQUAHOLIC honestly if your big spenders drive the price up, I'm going to cry myself to sleep or dive into a tub of icecream
You guys need to colab 👀
I used to have a boat on the Thames....wish I had one of those to live on full time...great to see something different
This was a surprisingly nice change from the usual boats and I think it would be nice if you did some more canal boats while we're all still stuck in lockdown.
More coming, I filmed a couple of others while I was there 🙂
That's good, I'll look forward to them
@Edward Gordon
Check out a channel called Cruising The Cut. Charmingly presented, professionally filmed, a joy to watch. Although not as terrific as Aquaholic, it’s another wonderful channel but focused on canal boating.
@julie Wallis I already watch him, and other canal boat channels, its just nice to see someone who usually tours sea going boats, have a look at some canal boats
How severe are the Covid restrictions over there currently? Over here in the U.S., depending on what state you live in, life for the most part is back to normal in many ways & has been for many months. Of course states like California had or may still have severe restrictions while places like here in Texas they started easing the restrictions last June.
I'm just 5 numbers and a power ball away from purchase. I love England and that's how I would enjoy extended visits to your lovely country.
Everything this guy posts is classy and not just a fishing boat.
This beauty is getting a "thumbs up" even before watching the video.
Correct me, if I´m wrong, but I thinks it´s unique on the channel and therefore it deserves it.
And off topic: I would like to give a shout out to the sponsor(s) of AQUAHOLIC. You also make it possible, that we can watch Nick´s videos. *Thanks!*
Yes, first time I'd even been on one! 🙂
Thank you for your sponsorship recognition (I own Intelligent Money and am a big fan of Nick). This really is a lovely boat and way ahead of its class.
@@julianpenniston-hill4388 never notice. nice to see a sponsor comment
@@jugaloking69dope58 Cheers, I do it because I am really into it, not just for corporate reasons. Nick is doing a 'meet the owner' tour with me on my Sunseeker 25m yacht later in the year when lockdown is lifted. Should be fun!
Well this made a nice change! What a nice way to spend some time looking around on a river...
Rather than a "home from home", I would reckon that this can be a home for a couple full-time! Nice tour as always, Nick! Thanks!
Many are in London, soo much cheaper. Nice wide beam or pokey studio flat.
In Germany it’s nearly impossible to get a boat as a full-time home :(
@Slippery Storm bureaucracy. If it’s able to move, you can’t have it as your home and if it’s not able to move, it’s hard to find a place where you can legally stay.
@@matthiaskettner6686 Similair in Sweden. Really bizarre you can't do it in Germany with its temperate climate and endless rivers & canals. ☹
@Slippery Storm i think it’s actually less about money than more about regulations and german-ness.
I know very little about river and channel cruising, but this appears to be the perfect boat for it. I love that it's a real kitchen, a real living room, a real bathroom and a real bedroom. Better than many apartments in Manhattan.
I’ve seen these on Netflix and people actually live in them. This one is rather spacious, comfy and lovely
I used to work for 2 Canal Boat Builders between leaving the RAF and joining the British Army. Engineered them from start to them being fitted out and placed in the Canals. Really enjoyed those jobs. Over my time built over 17 boats from Narrowboats and Broadbeam Boats.
Awesome! :)
Don't think I'll look at a canal boat the same again. Very elegant and could easily live onboard this all year round. Quite a lot of boat for only one sleeping cabin though!!
I absolutely love the narrow boats. Blue collar yachting!
What a lovely boat but not just a boat a home on water that happens to be able to cruise the inland waterways. Perfect for a retired couple that has the desire to cruise but not on the open sea. Wonderful tour Nick! I really enjoyed it.
It’s only just a day or so ago that I even knew these boats exist through “Cruising the Cut” and haven’t seen inside one yet. Very interesting. A completely different lifestyle. Thank you so much for bringing one to your channel.
Ha! I’ve literally just recommend Cruising the cut to another poster who showed an interest in canal boats.
Looks really nice and a nice difference compared to boats you normal put on the channel! Great job again Nick!
Glad you like it!
A motorhome for the river. It is screaming for a sigar in the cockpit and pokertable in that lounge area 😂 Great to see another unique way to take to the waters. Thanks @Nick
Glad you enjoyed it
Aquaholic videos have given me countless enjoyment through Lockdown boredom. !!!
Your pic looks like a hair on my phone's screen 🤪👍
That was very different, never really thought about narrow boats and all the modern possibilities. 👍🏻
Aqualines are amazing boats, for a couple these make a real housing option in the UK. There are boats with two bedrooms which are very cool. Love this boat
Wow! Trust Aquaholic to bring something amazing that I’ve never seen before. As an Anglophile, this really speaks to me. Thanks so much for the tour!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Excellent, my in laws used to have one of theses floating “one bedroom flats”. With a sofa bed in the sitting room, it was comfortable for 4 for a few days. They also had a log burner on theirs.
Seems like a massive boat to only sleep 2. That being said this would be a great live aboard for a couple
You can always install furniture which converts to a put you up
add couch that transform into beds into the living room area and you can easily host two coupes or 5-6 people.
On the outside it looks like an old fishing boat but when you step inside it is just wow
I loved how you pressed the nobs on the kitchen cupboard doors like you would normally on a yacht lol... Lovely boat not at all blingy and looks incredibly comfortable 😍
Yes! I suggested a tour of a boat like this. So happy!
Awesome, hope you enjoyed it!
🏅..... A rather casual mirror wave today!
Not sure what to think about this one 🤔 On the one hand it is an amazing floating apartment, on the other hand, it's not much of a boat 😁 Thanks Nick!
Well, I for one would be more than happy pootling down the river in that little beauty. Watching the country side slip by, mooring by a pub for some drinks and kibbles on lovely summers day...................Sorry - got lost in the idea there. Nice one, Nick. :-)
Lovely boat, it's basically a one bed-roomed apartment that moves whenever the fancy takes you. I like it 👍
I like this boat because it sticks out to me more than the other boats you've reviewed
You know what Nick, I'm just as surprised as you are. Looks amazing actually, really luxurious.
This boat made me 'ooh" right from the thumbnail
Would love to see more of these!
More coming!
a huge lounge think i would ve prefer a small guest cabin with bunks or just a small double behind toilet shower and just before master cabin
I think they'll fit these out how you like
Wow something completely different today; I would prefer a wide beam as there is a lot more space but it looks very nice on the inside! Thanks Nick! 😀
Thanks for watching!
Amazing workmanship, excellent attention to every detail. Better than most houses you’ll see. Would make a very comfortable home. Thank you for sharing.
One of the best I've seen. And finally a price is quoted.
so gracious, beautiful design, this is truly home from home, I can see myself on-board for a long time in absolute comfort and convenience, loving the variety Nick, more please !
More coming! :)
Love you Aquaholic!!! From Aussie😉
Like clockwork it must be 12pm GMT! 🛥
OH YES I WANTED ONE OF THESE ON HERE FOR AGES
Always happy to see boats I would never see in Miami.
I must say I have never seen anything like this craft before Nick really unique thanks for great tour mate 👍🇨🇦
Glad you enjoyed it
It’s really interesting to see a tour of this type of boat. Thank you, Nick!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Awesome ! The interior looks like a little inland superyacht. Very tastefull !
Love the fact you keep giving us such diverse options, what a great looking live aboard. Thanks Nick
My pleasure!
What a lovely change of pace! You could easily live on this boat full time! That galley is a full on kitchen too! Thanks Nick! Would love to see a standard width narrow boat for comparison
Hopefully I'll get to film one at some stage
Imagine a week in the summer chugging along a beautiful river in this 😍
What a complete surprise that tour was... Love the interior space.. Could see a weekend on that for sure.
Great..Just great! That's an amazing boat, I really have never seen the inside of one until now Nick, thanks! I would love to see more of these. I want one now ! Loved the Live Video.
Thank you! 🙂
This guys channel is criminally undersubscribed
I bet a lot of subscribers have never heard of narrowboats. A traditional narrowboat would be a great review.
Great suggestion!
Love the layout on this boat makes a huge difference between this wide beam and a narrow boat great work nick
A nice change of scene Nick. Having done a few canal holidays I can say that there are quite a few boats out there with modern interiors. Not all are twee traditional narrow boats :) This boat is really nice with great potential for live aboard. Room for a larger kitchen and dining area. Once you acclimatise to the slow cruising speed you really do detox from the modern and superfast speeds we live in today.
I almost didn’t click, thought I’d seen plenty of these, and besides, no use for something like this here in Canada. Of course it’s an Aquaholic Tour, so I had to click, and sure enough, one of the nicest I’ve ever seen. If I lived in the UK, I’d have something like this over a house or apartment. Lovely.
What a boat! I have watched numerous videos about river and canal cruising in the UK, but never have I seen a boat like this. One could actually live on this boat.
When I clicked on the video I was expecting a ugly boat inside. Now I literally want to live in it.
Thanks for the tour
Im a HUGE fan of the layout and interior styling. Very beautiful and classy, and very home like.
Glad you like it!
Love the layout of that boat. And the interior finish.
Once again; I'd happily live on there. Can you imagine? That river cruiser moorednext to a small piece of land on the River Fal, close to the harbour; with something like an Axopar 45 (there's one coming this year) tied up next to her and a classic Mercedes-Benz E240 estate in its garage on the piece of land. Complete and utter bliss.... I think you've given me an idea young Nick
I like your style!
Very nice indeed. I can imagine that being a person's main home. Living a really cool, laid back lifestyle, on the river or lake ... fishing rod in hand.
The tender is a canoe.
I'm glad you featured one of these.... I hope to retire on one in around 25 years! Keep up the good work, love it!
Yes please, more widebeams and narrowboats on the channel.
More coming!
Need to show some with more than one suite! Or even guest quarters!
That’s fantastic. Yes please more river boats.
You'll need new bags for the canal boats Nick. You could call them Rosie and Jim. Lovely boat. Thank you for doing inland waterways.
Great idea! 😄
Remember, diversity is our strength!
Well I never imagined that. What a lovely alternative to a standard holiday home. Love it.
Excellent Nick. If I lived in the U.K. I know what I would be living in. That particular one you showed is a real beauty!!!
I do like the widebeams more than the narrow but it does limit what canal routes you can take.
I certainly would like to see more, especially since the current situation limits your availability of Super yachts.
Excellent tour and thanks!
👍🏻😁🇨🇦
The "next level" of narrow boats.
FINALLYYYY CANAL NARROWBOAT!!! I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR AGES
Edit: Not exactly a "narrowboat" but I like it either way. I've been waiting for you to review this kind of boat for a long time.
More coming! :)
I love this and would buy it in a heartbeat. Yes please, show us more of these on the channel.
Looks great, nothing like what I'd expected seeing it from the outside. Very interesting boat for river cruising.
You could actually live on that boat. The lounge area is amazing
Ive never seen this style of boat before. Interesting! Thanks, Nick!
My pleasure!
Had a narrow boat out a few times when the kids were young, but old enough to open the locks really was great fun on the river Lee, regents canal and the grand Union Canal.
Wow!!!! How impressive was the interior on that bungalow boat absolutely loved the kitchen area....
Bravo! Loving having something a little different on he channel! Thanks, Nick!
Yes, keep featuring canal boats as well!
A canal boat! I know these well!
Brilliant, Nick!
Glad you like them!
As my wife just said, “Let’s buy one!” Been thinking about retiring onto this exact model when the kids are finally off the payroll.
What a cute boat!
What an amazing boat. They have changed a lot from since I was a kid. In the 70's my parents would hire one and we go out for a week on it. Nothing like this one at all
In America we have something similar. They’re called house boats. Usually equipped with hot tubs, water slides and a place to park the jet skis.
We have been narrowboating for a few years now and always hoped to get one but although it's a very relaxing & tranquil way to explore the inland waterways they are restrictive in that the speed limit on canals is 3-4 mph. So allowing for locks and stopping for lunch, 20 miles per day is about average. Having got hooked on your channel and the boats you tour, the idea of being able to cruise around the coast or pop over to the Isle of Wight, whatever, has really opened my eyes to 'other' boating. Seeing this tour has resparked my love for canals and I feel so torn! oh what to do. The only thing I would say about widebeams is that although they are incredibly spacious compared to narrowboats, there are a lot of canals & locks that are not wide enough to accommodate them, so you may find you can't explore many inland waterways. We have two weeks booked in September on a narrowboat & plan to explore the Llangollen canal, COVID allowing 🤞. Would love to see some Narrowboats on here as it's interesting to see how people utilise the limited space. Thank you Nick & look forward to your next tour whether it be a cosy canal boat 💤 or a 40 knott yacht 🚤 😎
I can't wait to take mine on the Atlantic crossing next month
Wow, I've never seen one of these river boats. Definitely got more than I was expecting out of this video.
Thank you.
Glad you enjoyed it
Living in Lyon, france, i always dreaming of having this type of boat that we call "péniche" in french, few people have the chance to live in it on the two famous river passing thru the city ( Saône and Rhône) wish of getting one, one days...
As always great content keep up your the best ! Love your socks as well!
I think I've been watching too many sailing channels and looking at too many sailboats.... I see this interior and think "How inefficient, you could fit 3 heads and sleep 8 in this thing comfortably" lol. It's definitely interesting seeing just how vastly different you can make use of a specific length and beam with a flat platform and a different design goal.
Fun to see one of these rather strange (for a Swede) boats from the inside, you have seen them all these years in TV series from Great Britain and I understand that it is a big thing there. So thanks for a super interesting episode!
Thanks for watching! 🙂
Wishes DO come true - I've wished for a proper Aquaholic tour of one of these "Long Narrow" boats since April 2020. While there may be other channels that feature this style of craft, they are NOT Aquaholic. Thanks again, Nick, you float my boat...
Totally different to the narrow/long boats I've seen. That's crying out live aboard. Believe it or not it's not unusual to see boats like that and smaller versions heading out down the Avon Gorge to the Bristol Channel to head up to Sharpness lock to pick up the canals up that way. Braver souls than me it has to be said doing that passage on one of those. Great tour as always, thanks Nick.
Like you Nick. Surprised by the fit and finish inside, a little disappointed that there was only one bedroom for such a large boat.
I think they'll lay them out how you like so you could probably choose an alternative
Thats bigger and more practical than most London 1 BR flats, about a fifth the price and if you don't like the local pub...you can take your home elsewhere could easily live on that.
My thoughts exactly!
I follow a couple of guys on You Tube and their adventures via a boat like this through the rivers and canals of the UK....a cool lifestyle and very nice boat.
Ah...The Foxes?
@@Bob8091 You betcha! Two funny dudes! Was just watching their live vlog...
@@glenlittlefield9869 me as well.
@@Bob8091 LOL!
I used to work with Shaun he is a great guy and very very funny
The layout inside of that boat was fantastic. This might be the first boat below a million dollars I've seen on this channel that had a large TV in a prominent location where people can actually watch it without craning their necks at weird angles. Yacht designers should probably learn from that.
Very cool Nick!
As a follower of a few narrowboaters on YT, I have seen so many canal boats of many shapes and sizes, though this impressive craft tops them all! Perhaps Nick can display his wide-beam boat handling skills on video for us one day.
Just caught up with these ones, more? Yes please!
Loved this, like many have said already it looks very livable...the promise of a simpler or at least different way of life
