- The car is a 1989 Mustang Coupe Foxbody with a built 302, awesome sounding exhaust, super clean interior, and a slick T5 transmission.
Special thanks to Collin and his dad Chad, this father and son combo is a great example of what this hobby should be like.

The best part is working with your dad together. Clean cut kid. Great work dad. 👏
Amen, brother!
Great car , I love it when Dad and son work together, Thanks Andy
Glad you enjoyed it!
This kid will be waiting on the motor vehicle's doorstep on his 16th birthday. I also was, 46 years ago. Nothing has changed. Once a gearhead, always a gearhead. Enjoy, young man.
I would have been the happiest kid ever if this was the kind of car I could have built with my Dad. :)
@AndyKruseChannel I agree. He'll have the coolest car in his high school parking lot.
Man that's a cool car .. I love the back story on it and the attachment you have with it .I can relate ..I've had mine since 1996
Awesome! I love reading these kinds of comments. :)
Great work guys! Memories for life!!
Agreed, and they're cool people too! :)
Amazing car, and the exhaust sounds perfect! I like what was said about it doesn't matter what brand of car you are into, if it's yours and you love it, that's all that matters
Well said!
Great kid & car.
Dad too.
Yes, they're an awesome duo! :)
Great restoration!
Thanks to your grandpa and dad for keeping the muscle car tradition going... : )
PS I'm a Mopar man but this car is off the hook!
It's always great when we are a big fan of one brand but can recognize something cool from another. There's a handful of Mopars on my list, so it all balances out. :)
Man that kid is a go getter!
He definitely is, but in a good way. :)
Little stud right there.
Yeah, he's pretty sharp too. Not afraid to get his hands dirty and turn a wrench! :)
Absolutely love your car! I wouldn’t change anything! Love the back story. It’s awesome that you were able to share the experience of building your car with your dad!
I totally agree!
That green though ! Wow thats super nice buddy, be safe and take care of her.
He takes real good care of his car, way better care than I put into my own car. :)
Highland green? Really nice!
Well said!! Bright future and will be doing it with style 5.0
Collin is definitely firing on all cylinders!
Well we all have to start somewhere. A parent instilling some passion into a child is a beautiful thing regardless of the circumstances.
Russ
Very true, and Collin has the best teacher to set him down the automotive path. :)
I dropped a 351W into my old 77 Mustang II back in 1986, along with a bunch of other mods, long story short, I had an 11.80et deuce when I was done with her!
Great job, great car, enjoy!!!!!
It's always fun working on these cars, everyone can relate in some way or another. :)
Nice nice fox 👌🏼
Thanks 👍
Amazing fox. Love the color. Very nice
Thank you! Cheers!
That Fox is absolutely beautiful as is. Love the choice of hood.
Agreed, that hood is slick!!
@@AndyKruseChannel what hood is that?
Great jop enjoy just bought my 2nd fox notch at 62 I will take it to the end never sale the best to you and your family BTW spending time with your dad is priceless my dad was a pilot and we had the best time flying and my dad was a car guy and he loved Fords again great job on the video and good luck with my dad
Nice! This is great advice.
Great job!! Beautiful foxbody
Yes, Collins car is fantastic!
Sounds fantastic!
Couldn't agree more! :)
That's nice I like the color too
Agreed! :)
Don’t touch it! It’s perfect the way it is!
I like your thinking. :)
I'll pass it along haha!
Absolutely beautiful and clean looking Notch👍🏻and that unmistakable sound of Original 40’s on a foxbody👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
Yeah, that car is pretty nice! Tough to beat a father/son build. :)
Awesome car! love it.
Awesome car and awesome family! :)
Big up's ti this kid man, did something with his dad you can tell the kid was into & lasting memories. I have 86 gt I'm going to pass on to my son the same way. Thanks for the inspiration a
Yeah, these kind of memories are some of the best. :)
Thanks for the awesome video sir. Collin had a great time doing the video with you. And the bloopers at the end is great!
Any time!
I didn’t know I wanted this car . 🤤
You and me both!! :)
Great to see you have Ford Blue in your veins, awesome build you and your Dad did a Great Job. Keep it up
They're a great family, it was awesome to get to do this video with them. :)
Nice video!!
Thanks!
Regardless of what type of car you own as long as you enjoy it, that is what is important and what counts who cares what other people think they dont drive your car.
Truth. :)
That intake looks so much better than stock.
Yeah, there were a lot of trick pieces on the car, looking back I wish I capture a few more of those awesome components. :)
Cool story and great car. I love the paint on it.The ashtray part made me lol. Those who know fox body cars will get it.
I thought it was a reference to his age. Why have it at all? He's too young to smoke, unless that's a future investment, not for selling the car, a bad habit.
@@observingrogue7652 It was a reference to being one of the only fox body cars left with a working ash tray. It’s rare to find one with a door that still opens and closes.
Ha, yeah, that's why I made sure it was in the video. :)
@@SmackeysGarage
Ohhhhhhh....
I didn't know. That's hilarious.
@@observingrogue7652 I completely get why you responded about it... lol
You are a very fortunate young man listen to your Dad he will always try to l ad you in the correct direction the main thing is when you get out there in that beast of a FOX MAKE YOUR OWN DECISIONS DON’t let peer pressure get to you MAKE YOUR OWN DECISIONS AND YOU WILL BE FINE
AWSOME CAR BY THE WAY DAD
Good advice. Collin is a pretty sharp kid, I think he's going to crush the World when he gets out there. :)
@@AndyKruseChannel seems like a very intelligent young man good job in todays world that is a great accomplishment I gave all 3 of my sons Hot Rods for graduation which they all drove my old F100 to high school so they were used to having a few ponies from the start everyone told me I was insane for giving young boys toys like that but I taught them to think for their selves and now they are all grown with families of their own but they all learned a valuable life lesson about it being up to them and not just in a car but in life hopefully Collin will do GREAT I think he will!
Same color as my coupe , white , blue interior, original 2.3 car ..
Yeah, it's a great color combo! :)
I had to see if this was Augusta GA area bc I have a friend who owns a green GT just like that. He has a young son too.
I bet your friends car is just as awesome as this one. :)
I noticed it has the 2.3 booster , I’m amazed that it has enough power to stop the car …
It's part of the secret sauce. :)
That's a bad Notch
Bad as in good? :)
where did you get the hood
It's a Cervini Hood from LMR. :)
I bought my first car at 16.5. worked 2 years saving. I had to pay my own insurance as well, gas, repair, overhauls( first 355, then 388), mods, body and paint etc. All funded by myself before 18. No way you have a dime in this.
He does has a decent amount of his own money invested in the car. He has been mowing lawns and shoveling snow for a few years. He has multiple people he does it for. He was there and apart of working on the car every step of the way.
Some people have different opportunities than others, and some people don't need to highlight how they earned their car. Collin put a ton of his own money into this car from various side jobs, but whatever his Dad chipped in, Collin made up for it in effort and being there for the whole build.
Great build. What color is that ?
It's a custom green with metallic flake. :)
Like Andy said it's a custom green with lots of gold pearl in it.
I'm jealous af badass lucky kid wish I had a life like his I'll probably never own a car at least never as nice as that hopefully that kid dnt drive that thing stupidly that cars a monster a beautiful monster
Some determination, and a sprinkle of hard work can get you on the path to a car like this. You'll get there if you want it! :)
He definitely has a chunk of his own money and lots of work from him as well on the build. So it wasn't just handed to him. He knows the work and time involved he will and does definitely respect it. As far as a vehicle for you get what you can make it your own and enjoy it.
Are those 18 inch or 17 inch cobra wheels?
I think they're 17"wheels.
They are oem 17" 03 Cobra wheels.
👍🏽🫡
