Stronghold Crusader 2 is the long awaited sequel to Stronghold Crusader, the original 'castle sim'. After 12 years Stronghold returns to the deserts of the Middle East circa 1189, with a new 3D engine and realistic castle destruction powered by Havok Physics. Stronghold Crusader 2 will recapture the original game’s addictive, fast-paced gameplay and authentic castle simulation. The new Stronghold Crusader 2 is quite cool. But I was a little disappointed when I found out, that your army can´t be bigger than 500 men. I expected huge armys like those in the first Crusader game.
xXAlmdudlerXx um excuse me. only 500 men??? in old version (still stronghold crusader 2) your army can have 1100-1200 men. in extreme it is 10000.

I don't understand your strategy of defense. Why do you not focus on destroying the siege machines and concentrating your forces around your defensive structures? To me it looks like you are fighting a battle on the open plains, as if you have no walls or strongholds. I don't mean to put you down,but I can't wrap my head around it. Will the game crash if both sides are not sustaining massive casualties throughout the battle?

+SergiuHellDragoonHQ I do not know physics of the game, specifically how much troops can fight in one game square meter, but in the city you can more easily flank them, plus time and space consumption, when enemy is trying to reach the city you can gather bigger units in your city...

Stronghold crusader 2 offer a challanging A.I good campaign, great voices, interesting units and possible combinations. If you gone compare it to starcraft 2, then yeah obviously SC2 is really good espellsily the campain. But it's still nowhere near war3

Nah, Saladin never defeated Lionheart. Lionheart aka Richard I defeated Saladin in the battle of Arsuf (1191) which took place during the Third Crusade. Check your facts son.
