Just listening to you convinced me that you will be able to figure out how to run your sawmill better and better all the time. I was very impressed with you and your family working together. Take care.
56 acre spread! You are Blessed! I got my eye on 51 acres in S.C. Missouri. Now I just need the Good LORD to Bless me so I can get things in order to buy it. Keep sawing and keep posting. New Sub. :D
Thanks Joseph. We are truly blessed and having the time of our lives growing our farm. Good luck on your adventure. As they say buy dirt, they are not making it anymore. 👍
May be bifferant in the south, but up here in idaho they use stickers in the lumber piles at about 3 or 4 foot spacing to stop worpage. Wise we had a mill. I like the woodland for the money.
Hey Robert. Yes sir, we do use stickers here as well to reduce the warping. When we restack the lumber we insert the stickers. Highly inefficient so I will be working on process flow as I get more experienced. Thanks for the comment.
I don’t know how your tensioning your blades but if your using the crush washer method where you turn the handle till it’s flush…, don’t.. get a torque wrench and tighten to 25 ft lbs. I own a 130 max and had that problem none since I started torquing with wrench. Another bit of advice is more stickers in your lumber I like to go every 18 inches or so first sticker right on the end keeps checking down. Make sure you keep stickers lined up as well. And when you get a stack done weight it down or throw a couple ratchet straps around it and tighten them as it dries.
Awesome advice Josh. I did use a torque wrench when tightening the original blade but had tightened the 2nd blade to flush when I threw the 1st one. Excellent advice! You know when you are so giddy to get started doing something that you do not fully prepare for everything. That was me with stickers. I need to cut a whole bunch 1" stickers and have them ready to go. I will also add some to my stack and weigh it down. Thanks for the info! 👍
Sounds like it’s been said but either your bunks were installed backwards or the mill carriage needs to be flipped 180. Then you can use the guide arm properly and should help with the dust going everywhere.
I will check it out! Oh, wait a minute.. I already know you folks! Hope the home build is going well. Your tackling a huge project and doing an awesome job!
Be sure to clean your new blades before installing them. The shipping oil on them must be washed off. Use something like brake clean that dries completely off.

I just got my hm 126 there is truly a learning curve. Its a awesome mill. Happy Milling
Agree! A definite learning curve. Thanks, you too!
Beautiful wood!! Great job! You have very good workers! Love you!!!
Isn't that cedar beautiful? The red just pops. Yep, Dillon and Katie are great help to us. We love you! 💗
It looks so good!
Thank you! Hope you and your family are doing well and staying warm!
Don't worry about it I'm sure you will get there soon.
Absolutely! It is not always about the destination - the journey is the fun part.

If you need to back a blade out, I have seen them put a wedge in the end to remove the pressure and spread the gap
Great to know. Makes perfect sense as well. After breaking a blade that is a simple solution that will save me $$. Thanks!
You need more runners on the end of the stacks. It will help with warping in the long run.
Great advice. Thank you Brian. 👍
You need the log on the opposite side of the saw guide so you can move it close to the log to keep the blade straight.
That is a great piece of advice. Thanks!
That cedar looks amazing. I love that some of your viewers are offering such good advice. Keep up the good work!
Oh, and when did Dillon grow up??!!
Thank you! It seems like it happened overnight. It is crazy how quickly it happens. Love you! 💗

Having the stops and clamps on the wrong side is like using a pipe wrench backwards. Too much soap/water will make the blade jump.
Living and Learning the hard way. 😂 Flipped the sawhead today. On to smoother boards! Thanks for the insight.
Once you have cut two sides of a log, no matter which two, it is no longer a log but is a CANT! :-}
Thank you Bryan. Still learning a lot of the lingo.

Yep, spot on. Flipped the carriage and have been milling like a champ ever since. Thanks!

Great advice! I did not know that. Thank you!! 👍
Your saw blade needs to pull towards the log stops, not away from them
Yes! Great catch. I flipped the unit around shortly afterwards as someone else caught my mistake. Thanks!
