Ive always said, if we have fewer AAA games if it meant better quality, people will buy it. My brother who is an avid sports game fan recommended Helldivers 2 to me. I was so taken back because of all people, my meat head brother recommended a game i never thought he would want to play. That says something. We are tired of these publishers selling us f2p mobile games for $70.

Regardless of the games/movies being good or not, can someone tell me why they’ve been shoving Suicide Squad down our throats for years? They really thought S Squad was the best IP for a live service game? I knew it wld be a failure the second I heard about it.

The reason Suicide Squad keeps getting pushed is because
1. The cast is very easily replaced. An actor wants more money than you’re willing to pay? The character is either killed in the first 5 minutes, or is simply not sent on the mission for that instalment
2. It has a bigger and more diverse cast than most hero teams. Every DC hero has several villains, and those villains can be pulled into the Suicide Squad when needed.
3. It’s edgy. The Suicide Squad can smoke, drink, do drugs, and can kill, without getting too many people up in arms. People don’t have a problem with Harley killing, they have a problem with Batman being killed.
4. The original comic run is one of the best comic runs ever. It has also been described as a comic writers comic. Generally speaking, most comic writers would leap at the opportunity to have a run on Suicide Squad because of the lack of restrictions that other franchises have. I can see non-comic writers wanting the freedom Suicide Squad provides, and leaping at the opportunity themselves.
These are just off the top of my head. If you give me more time, I could probably think up more reasons.
It's also a vehicle for Margot Robbie and the Harley Quinn character in general. Many people like her, though it has hit the oversaturation point.

Thoughts on this game at sub $20 price point? I feel like since I waited I can enjoy this kind of game at the price point for how bad it is. The issue I’m seeing is that it’s live service and full price with a ton of repetition. Lets be honest this a great game for $10 or $15 I don’t understand why most people don’t approach gaming similarly this way you are less critical and you save money. When I get a triple A game for $20 I’m much more open to the bullshit
I know we talk about Cyberpunk a lot when comparing it to other games, but damn. Whenever bad skill trees and progression gets brought up and “nothing” skills like buffs and percentages boosts are majority of a tree and all builds are just the same with a different coat of paint, it really makes you appreciate what CDPR did. They really went “this is crap” to their own game and reinvented their skill tree to actually be meaningful and have easier to navigate UI - crazy what happens when a studio actually cares about its fans.
This makes me want to make a video game again. I'm below mediocre in programming, very average 3d modeler, below average texturer and animatior. But my sin, I can at least think up a game with interesting gameplay. All I need is a supporting programmer and a Unity experienced guy. We'll make a small third person game that's an actual game. To hell with live service, multiplayer. Just good small single player and a against AI enemies mode.

I want to be clear, this game is trash, but even all that aside, i felt likw Boomerang's VA did an excellent job with what he was given. The game sucked, but i genuinely looked forward to the scenes he was in. King shark did a great job too, but Boomerang really stood out to me. Game is shit tho
The new generation of game devs and writers are just not very talented and its as simple as that. These people grew up with their face plastered to a screen learning how to hate people who think different from them. Its no surprise to me modern AAA games are complete f'n amateur hour with bloated budgets. I think another big problem is a lot of these no-talent hack employees refuse to come into the office and still work from home. We just seen proof of that this week when a bunch of Rockstar workers threw little temper tantrums on twitter when their employer told them its time to come back to the office to get gta6 to the finish line. Look there has to be a reason why so many of these games suck now, im just trying to figure it out........cough Sweet baby cough.

Even if that game has been released in 2016, it would still have been a trash game, especially compared to the Batman Arkham games. Nothing can save this game, not even a time machine.

Actually I'd say that Kill the Justice League is all Gunn (which it was) and both of the Suicide Squad movies sucked.

It’s an accent thing. It happens with words all the time, depending on where you’re from. Example north vs south’s version of the word DOOR 🚪. Depending on what letters you choose to annunciate, “Dore” starts to sound like “Dough”
Cran is how I saw it too.
The skill tree is similar to Borderlands, almost exactly. except with Borderlands those skills you choose actually make a difference with the type of build you go for.
It's unfortunate to see how generic Suicide Squad is and what we could have had.

I actually restarted AC Valhalla today and I really like it. Granted it’s not really an Assassins Creed game, but I’m from Iceland and this is the only game I’ve played that I hear npc’s speaking my language and I think that’s pretty cool. I also just enjoy the norse mythology and play the game as a Viking game. Although I prefer to do the raids solo and stealthily. If they would have released that game without the AC connection I think it wouldn’t be getting this much hate
think about maybe HALF of the weird reception to the game is everyones brains realizing that it's essentially a terrible ARPG, when ubisoft BRAGGED about how they made multiple teams to work INDEPENDENTLY of each other so they could pump out games... yeah it made sense how everything felt disconnected
