Why was the TID brought to market with a standard ¼ drive as opposed to Centrotec? Its really annoying that everything festool is centrotec except the TID?
They arent impact rated, thats why.
Does anyone know if the masonry bits and the gwist bits for metal are offered in Standard?

So that's what $5k worth of drill bits looks like! 😛
So let me see if I have this right. For a standard PH2 bit, I need to insert THREE pieces. For each piece added, you increase runout. My Makita impact requires ONE, the bit. You failed to explain why centrotec is better, for example the longer shank? And why? Never mentioned it. It is just a way to make more money if you ask me.
