I agree with what you sad, I'd be lying when I say than I expected domething else from Bayonetta 3, but at the same time I regonigze than sometimes you din't get what do you expect. At first I wasn't super in to the multiverse idea but rightnow I think it's a fine idea to open up new possibilities. However I do have to disagree on the story aspect, Bayo 1 and Bayo 2 stories were nothing to write home about, the overlycomplex lore and plot manged to stand up right on think ice just thanks to the coolness factor alone, but the Characters in those games were at least memorable and well writen, nothing out of this world but they had clear motives good personalities, and there was usualy a good mistery to uncover. While in Bayo 3 the lore is still messy but there is no mistery or good character to balance it out. Viola it's honsetly neither bad or good, I can't say she is a good character but at the same time she isn't a bad ine either we've seen just too littel of her up to this point, all the others also fall flat on theri faces more than Luka dose. Speaking of Luka, it dose make sense for the Bayo 3 (Brave Cereza) to fall in love with him since he took care of her when she was in the future so I can see her haveing a crush on him when she grows up, but it's preatty clera than at least in Bayo 2 Cereza and Jeanne are suppose to be more than friends. Yet in the actual game there is no build up for the Luka×Bayonetta pair. That is what makes that ship a bit uncanny.

Eh, it's an eternal chase of bait and switching from both sides of consumers and publishers that always hurts the customers and actually pasionate developers and the same goes for animation as well and so much more. It's sad but I doubt anything can be done when people love repeating history that much. The endless sequels and rehashes by people who weren't familiar with the series in the fist place isn't even a new phenomenon, nor did EA and Activision and all the current big names started it, ironically. It was Atari and other much forgotten companies that have bitten or nearly bitten the dust by now and are forgotten. This current stage of popularity, hype cycles and all that seems to be an evolved version of what the average person would be probably seeing right before the video game crash, overflowing with games and ads for them.
My advise is let the people who actually want to make the games, make them; if Kamiya wants to make Bayo 4, let'im, if Nomura wants to make Kingdom Hearts {[9874356789/9867] x cos97889} miliseconds / day, let'im and so on; because ultimately it'll be a very small amount of people that will want to do it, I'd argue that they don't even reach the 50 out of the creative types in all of gaming. The actual pervasive problem is the publisher and general consumer public demanding more of and forcing the people that make to buckle under the pressure like Kojima with the endless Metal Gears, Sakurai with the many Smash games and so on. But as you said, capitalism works a certain way and that's how we got endless Nier games nowadays, a fucked Dead Space 3 back in the day and many other ills of modernity.
But enough about that depressing subject. It deserves its own topic, its own vid and its own discussion, one that can't be summed up in the comments. On to Mayonaise Witch 3; pretty ok, better than 2 for sure. I'd rather like if the devs actually mixed the system from the first game with the punch-kick weapons and the current one and re-use some of the old weapons to breath new life to them, since they seemed to be more interesting and even having demon forms based on them seemed more interesting in some cases, like a snake lady for the Kusheldra or some six armed demon for the Asura and so on. Not that the current weapons are bad, the trainsword, the fans are great and we got the best Rodin revision by far. If they do produce DLC(some rumours went around) I'd rather they bring some old weapons back and rework them for the current system with expanded movesets. Worked wonders for Sengoku Basara and DMC after all, otherwise we'd still be stick with the worst Stinger for Dante's main sword and a lack of his more high-end moves.
I just wish the ending wasn't so cliche dark, especially when you have Bayonetta break all the rules of life-death-undeath-time-space and revives herself as if it's Gurren Lagann but dies in the end. Come on Kamiya, even Mashima knows how to do that multiverse thing now. And that's regardless of Viola becoming the new Bayonetta, that could have stayed since she could be her world's Bayo or just exist as a leftover from the old universe, sorta like Power Girl did in the DC comics.

I am actually fine with weapons being a unique set for both hands and feet, but i do miss the katana, especially the one from the first game that had such a great "judgement cut". I don't even know what they could add with DLC besides the weapons, and that just seems too basic for them to work on.

@@AkashicMemory The only other idea I can possibly fathom for DLC is one or two additional weapons for Viola with a few more clothing options(seriously, her face and hair are horrible, especially with the kitty collar for the whole "Chesire Cat" approach but damn! There are better paink dos and face paints) to round her up a bit and to add Jeanne as a playable secret character that gets all the returning weapons with the old games' playstyle. Her being relegated to those Elevator Action segements is a bit of a waste tbh, when they have some ready made gameplay mechanics that are a bit too good to throw away.

Jeanne is playable, but yes, they should add more weapons and maybe some older enemies too, as the angel cameos were really fun to now blow away with demon slave.

@@AkashicMemory Yeah, that'd be a nice addition, bring back some old enemies via a Bloody Palace or secret missions of sorts.
